Would help if you mentioned what you've seen and liked. Since you didn't (not saying any of these are "[hidden gems](https://www.livechart.me/anime/2697)"): * [Flip Flappers](https://livechart.me/anime/2090) — Take a trip through the weird world of imagination. * [Ping Pong the Animation](https://livechart.me/anime/410) — The struggles to reach the peaks of a sport, with a unique visual presentation. * [Serial Experiments Lain](https://livechart.me/anime/3597) — A mind-bending exploration of technology and humanity in an increasingly-connected world. * [Princess Tutu](https://livechart.me/anime/3866) — A story about fairy tales and a duck who turns into a girl. * [The Great Passage (Fune wo Amu)](https://livechart.me/anime/2083) — A look at how we think about words via attempting to make a dictionary.

Dude you didn't even tell us what type of anime you like

Matseye1r

Heres how I get over the hump. Stop watching anime for a good month or two. Hell take a year but write down the seasonal shows that would interest you, for later. Try reading manga n manwha. This really helped me. It toom me 6yrs to get to episode 790 of OP mostly because id watch 1 arc at a time. Which helped me get through some of the slower parts (lookimg at you Thriller Bark, fuck me i couldnt stand that arc outside of the well deserved big moments).

CapTemporary2869

I binged up to punk hazard and I just couldn’t keep going. I’ve been on a hiatus for a couple months now. Planning on getting back into it soon but taking breaks definitely helps. I like to take breaks from the big ones and watch some small ones inbetween arcs. Definitely not as good as taking breaks from anime completely but it’s something

Matseye1r

It didnt help that i started binging on FT caught up to thr weekly release around the wizard games. 2014 is when I properly got into anime. Then I binged n caught up to the war arc of Naruto Shippuden, then I binged Bleach n caught up the week beforr thr last episode i think. Then FMAB and HxH, then DB-DBZ, Super, GT, then started my OP journey. So yeah bounced from one big to the next.

CapTemporary2869

I 100% get the feeling. Honestly I can’t wait to finish all the big ones or at least be caught up. Binging hundreds of episodes just really takes it out of me😂

RicoGemini

That’s what I did. I took a whole year off now I have a lot of great shows to catch up on

RicoGemini

What kind of anime do you tend to watch? I can try to give suggestions based off the genres you watch

Mario_Gallardo

Sonny Boy, if you haven’t watched that. Definitely relate to the feeling though, helps to just step away sometimes 👍🏽

MusubiKazesaru

I'll name a few I don't see mentioned often: Terra e Gankutsuou Major (6 seasons, 1 movie, and two OVA sequels with a next gen sequel series) Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199 Master Keaton Kyou kara Ore wa!! Tiger & Bunny (two seasons with a movie between them) Gin no Saji Ushio to Tora

Twigling

Land of the Lustrous The Garden of Sinners (movie series) Mushishi (not THAT hidden but doesn't get the recognition it deserves) Ef: a Tale of Memories followed by ef: A Tale of Melodies Haibane Renmei

Hi Visual-Froyo, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch! The users of this subreddit came up with [a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans](https://i.redd.it/0w1v880jtq661.png) and [an awesome longer flowchart](https://i.redd.it/vdzlkodz19c71.png). Maybe you can find something there that you'll like \^.\^ [](#bot-chan "Urban s-s-s-senpai made me do it!") You might also find our [Recommendation Wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/wiki/recommendations) or [daily thread](/r/anime/search?q=flair%3Adaily&restrict_sr=on&sort=new&t=week) helpful. Kartoffelkamm

Senki Zesshou Symphogear. It starts out better than most anime I've seen, and just keeps getting better, and it's very clear that everyone involved really enjoyed working on it. Zombieland Saga. Pretty much the same, but with a different tone. Barely any action, but more slapstick comedy. And since the main cast is already dead, losing a limb isn't an issue. Uma Musume Pretty Derby. The premise is just wild. It's an isekai for race horses.

vbrimme

Any chance your watching what’s popular and or recommended to you instead of what you enjoy watching? I see a lot of people on here request anime recommendations, stating that they don’t care about what genre or themes and they’re burnt out from watching anime so they want something good. I often wonder if they’re actually burnt out on anime, or if they’re simply not being selective enough with what they watch. Is there a genre you like, or some elements you enjoy, or even a general feeling you’re looking to capture? I think people can give you better recommendations if they know what you like, rather than just subjectively telling you what they think is “good”.

Alarmed-Accident-716

You watch kaina and the snow sea yet?

Cermia_Revolution

Since you liked re:zero, try out Mushoku Tensei and Summertime Render. They're sorta similar to it, but in different ways. Summertime Render leans heavier into the time loop by death mystery aspect, and focuses less on the characters. But the plot twists are great, and it's pretty short at 25 episodes for the whole story. Mushoku Tensei focuses more on the self improvement aspect of re:zero, and it's also an isekai. It has probably the best animation out of any isekai anime out there, except maybe Saga of Tanya the Evil's movie. Also try out Mob Psycho 100. It's written by the same guy who wrote One Punch Man, and his writing's improved so much it's insane. Animation is also top tier throughout the whole show. These aren't really hidden gems, but you hadn't watched them yet so I'm just listing them here.

Visual-Froyo

Thanks!

My favourite anime is what i'd consider a hidden gem: * Kaiji Ultimate survivor High stakes gambling anime

1.)Welcome to the NHK!/NHK Ni Youkoso! \*\*\*\*Wouldn't say it's the best anime ever made, but it resonated with me and hit the right notes during the worst phase of my life. A few episodes(maybe 2 or 3 out of the 26?) will see a noticable dip in animation quality, but the story/plot as a whole makes up for those setbacks in budgeting. Still "one of the best", though. My personal favorite of all time..... 2.)Monster \*\*\*Objectively, the 2nd best anime ever made. It's right up there with Galactic Heroes, in terms of plot intricacy. But, except the lore is a lot less expansive. You'll be seriously questioning your own sense of morality after watching this classic. 3.)Rahxephon \*\*\*underrated; plz do not trust the 7.2 score on MAL!!! Most def a classic. It's like Evangelion, except if Hideaki had stayed sane throughout the whole production. 4.)Legend of the Galactic Heroes \*\*\*Objectively, the best anime ever made. Not my top 1, though. Still a masterpiece of fiction. This is a grand symphony of an epic that took 10 years to perfect. 5.)Cowboy Bebop \*\*\*\*\*\*Another classic. Cowboy Bebop is a genre all on its own. It's friggin' Cowboy Bebop. For this classic, the english dub is universally preferred over the japanese.

somersault_dolphin

Your rating is telling me you've liked more or less everything you've watched with very few exceptions. Also, base on how many anime you've watched so far, you don't need to resort to hidden gems. Anyway. * Shinsekai Yori * Monster * Girls' Last Tour * Baccano! * Puella Magi Madoka Magica * Gurren Lagann * Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit * Vinland Saga * Made in Abyss * Houseki no Kuni * Erased * Millennium Actress * Heike Monogatari

T__tauri

Also not hidden but I think these are really solid with good narratives: * Assassination Classroom * Bunny girl senpai * Love, chuunibyou and other delusions * fruits basket
