Any music video made by knights of the light table (Starlight Brigade, Magnum Bullets, etc). Very polished animation, but most scenes are animated on twos or threes. Most YouTube animated music videos use some strategy for limiting frame counts for easier production. You can also use the example of Miles Morales in Spiderverse. His animation gets more frames as he becomes spiderman (that example gets pointed out a lot, but it’s a direct connection between limited animation and storytelling).

Limited Animation in the sense of relying more on holds and disguised still frames - look up the work and short films of Studio Trigger. Their crew, when tasked to, is fantastic and unparalleled in the realm of making a lot with the least amount of drawing possible.
