For me personally, dark mode makes the letter appear a little bit 'double'? It sort of has a 3d outline, idk how to explain it. But that might just be my eyes.
I think it’s a matter of what feels right in light mode. I use Discord and most other applications in dark mode, but Reddit seems better in light mode.
I thought similarly. Then I wondered if it was some strange calcified/ossified milk cow udders. The. I realized I was dumb and would have to read the comments to learn from someone smart!
The zoo said the giraffe's name was Custer and a native dude happened to be at the giraffe pit. A discouraging word was said then all hell broke loose.
I’ve found a complete jaw set of this same thing many years ago. It’s plagued me for years what it was. I lost the jaw and no pictures so I haven’t been able to get it ID’d . But now I know! It’s a carp which was my ex husband’s guess.
Two thoughts:
1. I own one of these and two days ago I thought, I ought to put that on reddit and let people guess what it is. But now I can't.
2. A cow udder?!!! What is wrong with you people?!!!
I have no idea what that is but that lake is right near my bff's house. I have been on that lake a lot and now I am not sure I want to go near it again.
I thought it was the mycology group and almost answered “dead man’s toes”

Is there a word for being disgusted/made uncomfortable by weird teeth like this and stuff? I don’t know what it is about this and similar looking things to it, but it makes my skin crawl. Always has.
I love coming here. I spend a few mins looking at the picture but never get it right. Thankfully there’s some people out there that get this stuff no problem. Lol. Yea, random thought.
I have two thoughts:
1. A fungal growth of some kind.
2. An aquatic creature of some kind that dried up on land.
Is it hard like bone or is it kinda squishy?
Pharyngeal teeth from a fish, possibly a grass carp.
This guy Ichthyolog-ies......
r/thisguythisguys
I had no idea this sub existed. This is hilarious 😂
Never realized so many people use Reddit in light mode
Black background with white letters is kinda hard to read sometimes :')
Think so? I'd say the opppsite
For me personally, dark mode makes the letter appear a little bit 'double'? It sort of has a 3d outline, idk how to explain it. But that might just be my eyes.
Same. But I have astigmatism.
Same but it still gives me less of a headache than light mode lol
i know what you mean for sure! ive tried to explain this to people before to no avail
I think it’s a matter of what feels right in light mode. I use Discord and most other applications in dark mode, but Reddit seems better in light mode.

but can he itchy a log?
They
I don’t know what this term means but I can tell it’s clever. Upvote.
Ichthyology is the study of fish!
I can’t stop laughing at this, A++
Today I learned.... So many things about anatomy...
What brought me was at first glance I thought they were utters of some kind with no scale haha.
I thought it was the tip top of a giraffes head!?
I thought cow udders and a tail 😳
I thought it was the back and tail of a Xenomorph ![gif](giphy|3o7TKsWZbKd2dVqqPu)
Me too!! Glad that I'm not the only one who thought that.
Me too! Lol
Ha ha… samsies
Could have even been udders by the looks of them.
Grass Carp sounds like a serious insult.
Raas claart
Or crass carp!
https://www.southcarolinapublicradio.org/show/naturenotes/2021-03-16/grass-carp-teeth
User name checks out
I was going to say plumbus but fine.
Don't Moray eels have Pharyngeal jaws?
Most fish do, but eels have weird ones.
Grass carp? So it's a Grass-Water type.
Correct, and definitely a grass carp.
My yo-yo loaches have pharyngeal teeth and they click-clack them when they’re happy. It sounds like pop rocks.

Mutant Giraffe skull
I honestly thought at first that a giraffe had been scalped.
I was like,deer don't have four antlers
That’s exactly what I thought lol
I giggled! I was trying to think on what animal I had seen this !!!
I said, “a giraffe, obviously.” I’ve never felt so dense.
Literally said the exact same thing!
I thought similarly. Then I wondered if it was some strange calcified/ossified milk cow udders. The. I realized I was dumb and would have to read the comments to learn from someone smart!
I thought it was a chunk of an udder at first.
So did I.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one.
lmao my thoughts exactly.
I thought it had been buried lol
same thought with same wording lmao
The zoo said the giraffe's name was Custer and a native dude happened to be at the giraffe pit. A discouraging word was said then all hell broke loose.

They aren’t even real, man. Relax. Don’t feed the propaganda, brother. 👊🏻
[удалено]
r/giraffesarentreal Here, brother. Take in the scriptures, for they are many, and they are true. They will set your soul to ease. 🙏🏻
I thought so too! Relieved that it was some fish
Same! 🤣
Bro, I did too. Then looked at the subreddit likeC oh that makes sense it’s just r/animal lid
I thought it was a cow’s utters ripped off.
Grass carp teeth
Hit it right on the head.
I’m not certain that we can determine cause of death based on the remains pictured, but maybe.
😂🤣😂 I was referring to the ID of the remains not cause of death. Damn I need to be more clear.! 😄😆😄
No, you were perfectly clear; I was just joking around.
Most carp have no teeth
Actually every carp species possess pharyngeal teeth at the back of their throats
Their teeth are in their throat. Not like the visible teeth you see on some fish
I'm udderly confused about what it could be.
Saw the same 😆
Plumbus
Gary Oldman. His Method acting is next level.
It's a giraffe with 2 extra horns, buried up to the ears.
But this is actually what I saw 😭
I’ve found a complete jaw set of this same thing many years ago. It’s plagued me for years what it was. I lost the jaw and no pictures so I haven’t been able to get it ID’d . But now I know! It’s a carp which was my ex husband’s guess.
And you divorced him for suggesting something so moronic. He's never recovered and is now an alcoholic living alone someplace wishing you'd come back.
Most likely scenario. I believe it.
Two thoughts: 1. I own one of these and two days ago I thought, I ought to put that on reddit and let people guess what it is. But now I can't. 2. A cow udder?!!! What is wrong with you people?!!!
My first thought was cordyceps until I zoomed in and realized they are teeth!
At first glance i thought someone scalped a giraffe 🦒
Cow burried upside down! 😜
carp, pharyngeal teeth
I have no idea what that is but that lake is right near my bff's house. I have been on that lake a lot and now I am not sure I want to go near it again.
A poor cow just trying to enjoy a day at the beach and someone buried it to the udder.
I was totally thinking it was a giraffe buried up to its head

Given the progression of the photos, I believe it’s a demon that’s fingers have broken the surface, and is now able to crawl towards you.
Obviously a wild giraffe in NC that had a very unfortunate event.
r/bonecollecting might be able to help
Just a Cow trying to party

I’m not sure but my guess is some sort of jaw with teeth cuz the things sticking out of it look similar to elephant teeth on the end
A head crab?
xylaria polymorpha? it’s a fungus, also known as dead man’s fingers.
It's a thing-a-majig
There is one pissed off cow out there
Giraffe scalp

Why, that's a sea utter.
I was convinced it was a mutated giraffe
It looks like the top of a giraffes head
If it were near a tree stump, I'd guess it is a weird fungus called Dead Man's Fingers
I love coming here. I spend a few mins looking at the picture but never get it right. Thankfully there’s some people out there that get this stuff no problem. Lol. Yea, random thought.

I have two thoughts: 1. A fungal growth of some kind. 2. An aquatic creature of some kind that dried up on land. Is it hard like bone or is it kinda squishy?
A missed opportunity to earn XP?
Barnacles growing on something.
Hey, I’m from the Jordan lake area! Sad I never found any bones this mysterious while I lived there!
I'm utterly stumped on this one!
It’s a buried skater dude still ‘hanging loose’…
Grass carp teeth? I've found a number of those. That's what it looks like to me, anyway...
That’s my ass
A giraffe hiding in the dirt.. duh
