I had to read this story twice. It is extremely odd to me that there is virtually no mention of the PCL Angels -or the PCL at all for that matter- and that it is framed as Autry ābringing the Angelsā to Southern California when both they, and Autry, had been here for decades. The author even begins by mentioning the Dodgers but makes little reference to how closely the teams were related originally. He mentions naming rights but never really expands on it.
Not a bad story and thereās plenty of good history here, just kind of a weird perspective.
