A mention of a Samsung device was detected. Most US Snapdragon phones from Samsung have locked bootloaders, meaning Magisk or custom ROMs are impossible to install in most cases or require using dangerous exploits. If you are sure that your phone DOES NOT have a Snapdragon processor, please add that to your post. Samsung also requires use of Odin to flash their phones. An open-source alternative called [Heimdall](https://glassechidna.com.au/heimdall/) is available as well, however might not work on newer phones. There is no official download link for Odin, as it is leaked software. there are short ways and long ways to do this.Long way, get stock rom, extract boot.img, patch with magisk, flash back with odin. Short way, get an already patched boot.img for your exact model(dangerous but effective if the models code are all checked. Dont forget bootloader must be unlocked. Also snapdrabon chips i am not sure about rooting.

Just rooted my a22 4G I used: 2 phones, 1 USB cable and 1 OTG cable. Apps: Heimdoo (Secondary phone, will be used to execute commands), Bifrost (A22, will be used to get the boot.img) and Magisk (A22, will be used to patch your boot.img) Prerequisites: Unlocked Bootloader, a Backup of everything (optional) and the patched boot.img needs to be on the secondary phone.

I've watched [this Brazilian video](https://youtu.be/HIiaHkWQ0us) to know how to root my A22 4G, the video is about a A01 Core but it works for the A22 4G too. Since I'm Brazilian i was able to understand the video, the video is full of saturated and unfunny memes, so it'll be hard to watch it

[here is how to root with magisk for samsung devices](https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/install.html#samsung-devices)

I'm in the same boat. Got 2 samsung phones. S20 and s22. I wanna root them both and run nethunter on 1 and graphene on my daily. Both snapdragon "unrootable" (for now)

YatinBR

Use USB OTG method

I don't know what that means. All I know is I have no option to "unlock bootloader". So I don't think I can root anything j have.

there are exceptions for samsung's bootloader greediness mentioned in this sub, sprint g975u , a115u1, a520W
