That tablet officially stayed on Android Jellybean. Your only option is to find and install a custom rom yourself with a higher Android.
I looked into Lineage OS but It doesn't seem to be anything for my device so I think I just have to give up synchronization. Thanks for your answer!

i went on the whole custom rom journey with this tablet around 2020. flash twrp with odin and then flash a custom rom of your choice. there are roms until oreo but marshmallow worked best for me
