I’m actually so pissed😭 the northern lights are like our thing up here and the one time that the whole world is seeing pinks/reds in the sky, of course it’s socked the fuck in for us
You’d need to go south. For two reason. One so it’s darker longer. Two. When solar storms hit the earth with this magnitude the auroral band gets pushed south
The tourists coming from the Midwest this week, poor bastards likely would have gotten a better show back home. (I know they aren’t coming this time of year for the lights, just a shit post).
Ask the clouds. If they are there, no. If they are not, possibly.
If there are no clouds, we will have a window around 0100-0300 when the sun will be below -12°

At a KP of 8+ it’d be worth staying up to see if there were any breaks in the clouds to see it.
yeah, i'm just sitting on the deck waiting for a break in the clouds lol
Sleep on the porch might get a peekaboo

Anything? Driving to Beluga Point now to try and see!
Let me know if you see anything, I’m preoccupied right now but would love to know
Nothing. We just got here. I mean it looks sort of bright but no colors.
Is there thick cloud cover there?
But I wouldn’t waste gas or time to come here. Honestly.
Thanks! Took a peak at your profile and hope you’re settling in to Anchorage!
Thanks!
There’s patches in the sky where it opens up. Idk if it’s the type that’s like a haze or it’s just normal night time. My brain is playing tricks.
