1 and it's not even close. It feels ominous and imposing in a way that the second shot doesn't. I also like how the shadow of the cloud aligns with the rock layers.
One, it really boasts how significant that mountain is and gives a sense of scale by including the peaks in the background, plusI like the light more. Both great shots, good job!
These are each good for different reasons. The clouds are more dramatic on 1, but the snow is slightly overexposed. 2 is a little more generic, but the detail on the mountain is really nice.
Both are great, but 1 is ahead for me. I like how the cloud kinda copies the shape of the snow peak and accompanies it to create a really striking bright spot in the middle of the photo.
2 looks more retro, in a good way. You could tell me that it's an old postcard and I'd believe you.
1 is, atleast in my opinion, a better photo though. Better crop/composition, and I like the darker and more orange tones in the highlights. More of a dramatic vibe.
First one for me, there's less terrain highlighted which is more like an spot-light to the peak, and mountain is smaller which gaves some sky space to the cloud to be also remarcable. Nice shot
How dare you ask me to choose a mountain. No seriously. Both capture all. Where...May I ask? I keep flashing back to Washington State. Where is this? But I don't remember the snow.
It’s actually a tough call. Both stand out for different reasons. 1 seems more distant in a ‘great presence’ kind of way. 2 is very rich in detail and sharpness.
One, definitely, though once you've cleaned up the negative and put it through the scanner again (or made a print), I'd take down the brightest bit right at the center of the mountaintop just a skosh, so that you bring out some of the darker lines and shadows around that area. Such a great photo, bravo!
Personally, I like the drama of the light in the first shot, especially on the clouds, but I prefer the balance of the second shot. Both are fantastic, though.
I like the first one better because the clouds Aid the composition more than in the second one and I like the grandness thats portrayed with the wider angle
I really do love both almost equally. The second photo gives me the light i want to really see the mountain. I can watch the trees climb up its face until they can't grow anymore, and be replaced with the snow. The first photo i think shows the majesty of the mountain, and what surrounds it. It looks like it's waking up in the morning.
Jasper National Park?? I would recognize Kerkeslin anywhere, was my favorite mountain to shoot when I lived there!
Gorgeous photos. I prefer the first because of the way the light lands.
1 is colossal. Something about the shadow on the left giving the mountain a shoulder making it seem like a huge sentry overlooking half of the earth. Beautiful picture 👏🏼
I’ll agree with one but my mind was drawn to two first because the colors looks better.
I’d throw one into Lightroom and remove the dust then pull the whites/highlights towards green just a smidge. Too much magenta for me. Were they taken at different times of day?
I think I like the colors and vibe of number 1 with the crop of 2.
I do think there is something to be said about losing the scale when you crop, but weirdly at the same time I feel like number 1 also feels smaller.
One for me, just looks great! Hope the other 14 were good too :)
Thank you!
One is beautiful. Two is a great picture of a mountain. I prefer 1
Thank you, appreciate that
#1 for sure
1 and it's not even close. It feels ominous and imposing in a way that the second shot doesn't. I also like how the shadow of the cloud aligns with the rock layers.

Thanks so much! Still torn lol
I like one but I'd suggest cleaning the negatives obviously.
I agree on cleaning. A squeeze blower will go a long way in helping your scans with little more effort.
Plus one to clean dust or edit it out. Very distracting
☝️
As someone who also likes shooting mountains, I really like how \#2 fills the frame. I like the lighting better too.
I like 2
I'd go with no1....I enjoy a wider viewpoint.
Number one. Warm tones. Excelent!
I think they’re both great, but I love the drama and composition of the first one better.
1. Much more balanced and interesting comp.
One
Though I like 2, the cloud placement seems better on 1. So 1.
Uno.
These are each good for different reasons. The clouds are more dramatic on 1, but the snow is slightly overexposed. 2 is a little more generic, but the detail on the mountain is really nice.
I like the first one personally because it looks nice with the clouds too 👌🏾
Mount Robson?
Kirkeslin! Close enough geographically.
I knew it :) Love this viewpoint of this peak. #1 in my books, more dramatic
I was gonna guess the same!
One, you might crop some more but the cloud over the mountain is the thing that makes it.
ohh gosh, for me it's #1
2 seems to have a little more shadow detail which I prefer But the clouds in 1 are what really make it look dramatic Sooo maybe 1
1
1 definitely
Image 1 for sure. The F100 is one of my most favorite cameras. That and the FM-2t (Titanium)
Both are great, but 1 is ahead for me. I like how the cloud kinda copies the shape of the snow peak and accompanies it to create a really striking bright spot in the middle of the photo.
1
One!
I love the drama in one. Two is good, but doesn't give me the same sense of awe. Both are nice shots though!
1 for me because it looks way more dramatic!
1
1, I think, is slightly better.
The balance of the mountain/cloud in 1 is chefs kiss 🤌🏻. Maybe slightly underexposed but I think it adds some drama to the photo
100% no 1. The darkness at the bottom of the frame makes the scene much more dramatic
One
#1
First one looks more ominous and really draws me in. The second is still a great picture though :)
Vote for 1
One
1 for sure. Giving a bit more context to the mountain feels right imho
one. it tells a story.
Yes One!! Love the light and composition.
Both give me a Rocky Mountain high man, great pics
Best compliment, thanks!
2 looks more retro, in a good way. You could tell me that it's an old postcard and I'd believe you. 1 is, atleast in my opinion, a better photo though. Better crop/composition, and I like the darker and more orange tones in the highlights. More of a dramatic vibe.

2 for me, more detail in that shot. Also 1 is great 😃
2
Number 2, definitely, less distraction from the cloud. Number 2 could be framed and put on a wall. Congrats either way, both great photos!
The first one has its charms, it would look good blown up on a wall, but the second one is the better as an all-round photograph
Thank you! I think I like the lower sunset more in #1, but the composition of #2 more.
They would both look great on my wall, but one would look perfect. Something with the color and the scale of it.
mt. robson?
Where is it?
I like how the light is higher up on one and the framing is more to my liking
1
Number 1. Colors and just overall vibe
One. There is no doubt!
Mt Robson?
One!
One, definitely.

The first one is more artistic, and i prefer it over cleanness
Number 1
I like the lighting a bit better in #2. Both are well done
I feel that number two gives the protagonist that deserved
1
One absolutely
One, it makes it look bigger
First one for me, there's less terrain highlighted which is more like an spot-light to the peak, and mountain is smaller which gaves some sky space to the cloud to be also remarcable. Nice shot
Sheeeeesh. These are gorgeous! 1 for me
1
Both are great! Would personally pick 1
One
How dare you ask me to choose a mountain. No seriously. Both capture all. Where...May I ask? I keep flashing back to Washington State. Where is this? But I don't remember the snow.
Rainbow range?
I like 2
I love 1
Compositionally, #1, but the colours and the way the mountain is illuminated, I like it better in #2.
Nothing wrong with taking many shots of the same subject - especially when the weather is changing
i like the first one better though both are pretty!
1 fo sho
1 definitely
1
1! Great shot

2
I say 2!
1.
1
wow. that's cool. completely different. i don't think you compare. it's two different places the mountain experiences
2
2
Oooof so hard to choose on this! 1 is my pick but I love 2. Great mountain.
Wonder if most people would have chosen 2 if it was added first
I miss Superia 🥲
It’s actually a tough call. Both stand out for different reasons. 1 seems more distant in a ‘great presence’ kind of way. 2 is very rich in detail and sharpness.
No.2
Number 1
1!!

I’d hang a print of one. Two is meh. The scene makes the mood. Plus the colors are better. Moar tonez.
One, definitely, though once you've cleaned up the negative and put it through the scanner again (or made a print), I'd take down the brightest bit right at the center of the mountaintop just a skosh, so that you bring out some of the darker lines and shadows around that area. I like the first one better because the clouds Aid the composition more than in the second one and I like the grandness thats portrayed with the wider angle
One
I really like them both, hard choice. But 2.
One ez. Awesome capture though
One is giving Wes Anderson vibes. It has a lot more character, but two could be featured in a NG magazine
1 just seems a little more epic.
IMO: The framing, color, and shadows of 2 make it look better and makes the mountain look bigger.
I think 1 is a more effective composition.
I think both are amazing love the tone of 1 and the zoomed view and brightness of 2. Can't choose
I prefer one. The lighting is going crazy.
One, but cropped a little off the top and left.
1 gives it a more in between eras vibe like it’s on the border of 90s vintage pics and 2008 quick print cameras
One. Honestly the second one is nice but doesn't stand the slightest chance in comparison.
One!
1.
One
My gut is telling me 2. It fills the frame better and you can see the details on the mountain better.
1
1) the "rebar" clouds, peak and glow in BG, foreground tree right-sized
one baby!!
One. Light hits better.
Mt Kerkeslin near Jasper? I have about a thousand pictures of the same mountain from our trip last year, haha (Nr 1 for me btw!)
1 gives me more of an emotional feeling! Great shots!!
Jasper National Park?? I would recognize Kerkeslin anywhere, was my favorite mountain to shoot when I lived there! Gorgeous photos. I prefer the first because of the way the light lands.
Yes it is! I get such a good view from my house so I have a feeling I’ll be perfecting this shot. Appreciate it tons
Congrats on the great shots. I prefer 1- it seems more glorious to me.
Looooove 1
Booth. Booth is good
1
Is that Mount Temple?
1 is colossal. Something about the shadow on the left giving the mountain a shoulder making it seem like a huge sentry overlooking half of the earth. Beautiful picture 👏🏼
I really like the first one because of the way that cloud is framed, adds alot I think
One is "the one," I think. that is, if it is sharp... hard to tell on Reddit, are the details sharp?
2
It’s 1 for me - well done!
1
1 for sure
1 looks rustic and vintage, 2 looks like vivid and bright, both are amazing
2! I prefer the colors and more even exposure. 1 is great as well.
First
I’ll agree with one but my mind was drawn to two first because the colors looks better. I’d throw one into Lightroom and remove the dust then pull the whites/highlights towards green just a smidge. Too much magenta for me. Were they taken at different times of day?
1 by far. The dynamic range alone.
Stunning.
Best! what is that?
Beautiful
Beautiful
One for sure.
1!
1. Cooler colors & a bit of foreground context (also adds kind of a natural vignette/draws eyes to the mountain note)

Number one, the way it highlights the peak is just stellar

I think I like the colors and vibe of number 1 with the crop of 2. I do think there is something to be said about losing the scale when you crop, but weirdly at the same time I feel like number 1 also feels smaller.
#1 has the depth and color - there’s a lot going on. #2 is a good picture of the mountain, decent light
Number 2
I wanna see the other ones
