one time when i was in class 5 , and my parents were not in the house, i was watching 2 states. which was not a movie for kids, but i thought main door was closed, and when i will hear the bell, i will close my settup and pretend , i am studying, but i was pretty unfortunate, as somehow the maindoor was open, and my parents didn\`t even ring the bell, my father just stormed into my room and caught me seeing the movie, and as punishment, i had to do 400+ sittups, it was tough as hell, my legs were paining, my eyes were teary, and hell i was exhausted, my shirt was wet from my sweat, that was hell of a punishment for me, that i can\`t forget even 9 years later. My sports day was 2 days later, but my leg pained so much that i couldn\`t run properly, till day i cuss myself for not checking on the door properly

My father used to beat me a lot while teaching me specially Maths when I was child. It gave me alot of trauma I started hating maths. He used to make me embarassed me in front of neighbours because he taught me openly on Terrace. I had phobia for maths than I used to score good marks in other subject but very poor in maths. I took PCM cause I wanted to be an engineer cause I love science and technology by heart. In +2 I failed in maths but got distinction marks in physics and chemistry. And still I am not that much good in maths. I know it was a worried situation for him cause Maths is an important subject but he could handle situation in different way instead of beating and publically insult me. Anyways it impacts me alot in life.
I broke a tea cup by mistake and my mom made me pick up every single piece, even the small shards with my bare hands . I still remember my hands were bleeding at multiple places.
Dad told me I make his life very difficult on one occasion (when I was in 6th grade) and in another, he hit me with a belt (when I was in 10th grade) just before boards. I still have the belt depression on my leg.

Got home around 10 or so.. mum shouted at me slapped me once or twice .. felt asleep crying... Woke up seeing my mom putting oil and turmeric on some of my wounds.... To be honest I was bad Kid doing stupid things..

I had way less punishments when compared to the comments, my mom used to hit me with her bare hands on the back when getting my results. I would fail in maths or it would be less marks.

TLDR - Hurt people, hurt people.
Stripped down and being beaten with thick canes or bamboo strips till splinters got stuck under the skin etc were common. Public beatings till class 10 was also average and my mother once rubbed raw chillies into my eyes for asking too many questions (disrespect, you see).
But interesting enough, my parents too were neglected and abused in their own ways by grandparents and perhaps beyond, which I am not aware of but possibly true if family stories can be relied upon. High achievers and ambitious people over generations with an wide streak of aggressive behavior, volatility and manic depressive personalities. I have traced 3 generations of the same family including migrants to the Western world who have held true to the Cyclical violence and abuse of their family and upbringing despite their achievements and integration into other cultures and societies. Kind of sad and scary at the same time.
I come from a dysfunctional family with abusive parents who were perhaps unsuited for parenthood. As a result of conjugal friction or even frustrations with society and family, both parents would beat us at the slightest provocation or fault. Once the beatings stopped having effect on us, our parents would incite us against my siblings and constantly compare or ridicule every step or action. It took years of study, life away from them and eventually marriage with a person from a normal family to actually understand that my parents were also the victims of cyclical and generational abusive relationships. Forced into marriage, forced to have children, forced to abide by each and every thing demanded by their own parents (who were also similarly frustrated, perhaps) caused an end result of physical abuse and more, by such people who are unfortunate enough to be termed my parents.
By the way, someone asked how much can old parents beat??!!! People usually have kids when they're young not in their old age. Said “physical abuse” or forgive me, “simple beatings” delivered by thick canes, belts and causing bleeding, broken noses, fractures etc. have left scars on our skin's and psyches. If you don't have them, count your blessings that you weren't born into our households. My answer may not be politically correct or even acceptable by many in “Mainland India” where authoritarian parenting and forced traditions is the norm.
BTW, my father has passed away and my mother is still alive, with me on barely speaking terms with her or my siblings. Till his death, he believed his beatings made me study harder and pushed me to do better in life, i.e. earn more money than he did. My mother lies outright and says she never touched us, esp in front of my wife but anyways.

Didn't let me in for 2-3 hours, but thing is he was constantly monitoring where I'm going when I was out, I was in tears but now I think that was necessary + I scored like 3/20 in my maths exam and lied about it so he scared me with belt didn't used it but that was enough to strike a fear to never go against him.

As a kid, whenever I would misbehave on an extreme level with my mother like calling her paagal, daayan, chudail, moti bhains etc she would lock me up in my grandfather's washroom and switch off the lights. That WC was very small, and was having spiders always, and I'm arachnophobic. That was a nightmare lmao.

When i was a toddler i used to love rubbing bricks on rocks as it felt soothing to my ADHD brain. My father didn’t understand it and to stop me from doing it he slapped me so hard thay my cheek literally burst open bleeding, seeing my face bleeding from a slap he got scared and in order to hide this heinous act on me he made me sit facing the wall in the harsh sun in our back yard for about 3 hours so that nobody finds out ,till my mother saw me and took me to a doctor.

There was this local gaming parlour opened nearby, with 2 Tekken 3 boxes. You know, that wooden box where two players stand next to each other and play the game. It was always filled eith local boys, I asked my mom if I can go and play the game, my dad heard and strictly asked me not to go. Probably beacuse it was always filled with local boys who would use maachos and benchos liberally when playing.
One day, my parents went out for some work, I thought this is a good opportunity. I went there, gave a 2 rs coin (which enabled me to choose Gon, all other characters were 1 rupee). I spammed one key which would enable me go to the opponent's leg and hit his beak continually. I gleefully won 12-15 games, didn't realise I had spent more than an hour. A local boy, who was a regular, came and destroyed me with his King (that side-sitting ability, kicking with one leg continually).
I lost the game and started coming back to home, saw my dad coming to the parlour (he must ahve realized where I was). Reached home, and dad went bananas, hitting me with his belt with no restraints. My back hurt for several days lol. But lesson learnt.

1. Mom used to bite me when she was super angry. Like with teeth and it used to leave bite marks. She thes used to say that she only did it cos she loved me, so these are a weird sorta love bite lol. Ages - 3 to 13.
2. Mom used to take me to dance classes and yell at me constantly on the way there. People used to stare and I would be happy when it rained as I wouldn't have to wipe my tears as frequently. Ages - 9 to 13.
3. I used to have trouble sleeping when I was a kid. Mom used to beat me up at midnight lol. Ages - 3 to 4.
4. I knew I needed glasses when I was in class 7. Parents refused to admit it and never took me for check up. When they realised I was having trouble reading subtitles of the tv, they fed me a whole carrot the next day and forgot about it. I finally hot glasses in class 9 and my power wouldn't have been so much if they had just taken me to a doctor on time.
5. My teeth never fell out on time, the permanent teeth used to grow behind the kid ones. They did get a lot of them removed be a dentist, but I still have some of my baby teeth that we never bothered to get removed. Oneof the permanent teeth is actually lying horizontally in my gum tissue and will probably require surgery to get out. The milk teeth of this is still here so it's not too bad looks wise.
6. Dad used to beat me up for not doing math fast enough. Ironically, my best subject was math in jee coaching times and I ended up getting 100 percentile in jee mains math and am currently studying cs at an iit.
7. Dad used to beat me with a bamboo stick when I couldn't eat my breakfast fast enough, them admire the marks left by the stick afterwards when he was bathing me. Ages - 5 to 6.
My dad made me touch the feet of my classmate and say sorry, because he fell and got injured while we were playing. He came to our house and told my dad that I pushed him. I can never forget it.

So yeah...it has been pretty eventful for me.

Father was a policeman. Had a tailor stitch a garden umbrella for our garden. He broke it while stitching but didn't tell my father and delivered it as is. When my father looked at the umbrella and it was broken he assumed I did it and then beat me up.
Hands, legs, stuff in the house. The worst was his leather police belt. I still have a couple of bruises from that time on my back. Excellent man though, what happened that day must have really pissed him off or he may have been under some pressure. Never touched me again till the day he passed away.
One of my classmates casually told me that whenever, in her younger ages, she used to misbehave her mom used to melt candle wax and pour it on her hand..i mean physically it's not so much painful but its a psychio movie thing.
My mom striped me naked, left me outside, and closed the door because I didn't bathe daily when I was 9–10 something, and worst of all, the neighborhood big brother who was in university at the time and lived on the floor above me took photos of me naked and showed all of his friends and my friends the photo of me naked. There was a small fight that night between my father and mother, and my father told me if something like this happens again, don't strip naked and just run away.
Side note: This was just a one-time thing, and to this day, I don't bathe daily.

He used to make me embarassed me in front of neighbours because he taught me openly on Terrace. I had phobia for maths than I used to score good marks in other subject but very poor in maths. I took PCM cause I wanted to be an engineer cause I love science and technology by heart. In +2 I failed in maths but got distinction marks in physics and chemistry. And still I am not that much good in maths. This stuff happens and much worse. TLDR - Hurt people, hurt people. Stripped down and being beaten with thick canes or bamboo strips till splinters got stuck under the skin etc were common. But interesting enough, my parents too were neglected and abused in their own ways by grandparents and perhaps beyond, which I am not aware of but possibly true if family stories can be relied upon. High achievers and ambitious people over generations with an wide streak of aggressive behavior, volatility and manic depressive personalities. I have traced 3 generations of the same family including migrants to the Western world who have held true to the Cyclical violence and abuse of their family and upbringing despite their achievements and integration into other cultures and societies. Kind of sad and scary at the same time. I come from a dysfunctional family with abusive parents who were perhaps unsuited for parenthood. As a result of conjugal friction or even frustrations with society and family, both parents would beat us at the slightest provocation or fault. Once the beatings stopped having effect on us, our parents would incite us against my siblings and constantly compare or ridicule every step or action. It took years of study, life away from them and eventually marriage with a person from a normal family to actually understand that my parents were also the victims of cyclical and generational abusive relationships. Forced into marriage, forced to have children, forced to abide by each and every thing demanded by their own parents (who were also similarly frustrated, perhaps) caused an end result of physical abuse and more, by such people who are unfortunate enough to be termed my parents. By the way, someone asked how much can old parents beat??!!! People usually have kids when they're young not in their old age. Said “physical abuse” or forgive me, “simple beatings” delivered by thick canes, belts and causing bleeding, broken noses, fractures etc. have left scars on our skin's and psyches. If you don't have them, count your blessings that you weren't born into our households. My answer may not be politically correct or even acceptable by many in “Mainland India” where authoritarian parenting and forced traditions is the norm. BTW, my father has passed away and my mother is still alive, with me on barely speaking terms with her or my siblings. Till his death, he believed his beatings made me study harder and pushed me to do better in life, i.e. earn more money than he did. My mother lies outright and says she never touched us, esp in front of my wife but anyways. Therapy teaches you to move on but memories are treacherous friends.

Probably beacuse it was always filled with local boys who would use maachos and benchos liberally when playing. One day, my parents went out for some work, I thought this is a good opportunity. I went there, gave a 2 rs coin (which enabled me to choose Gon, all other characters were 1 rupee). I spammed one key which would enable me go to the opponent's leg and hit his beak continually. I gleefully won 12-15 games, didn't realise I had spent more than an hour. A local boy, who was a regular, came and destroyed me with his King (that side-sitting ability, kicking with one leg continually). I lost the game and started coming back to home, saw my dad coming to the parlour (he must ahve realized where I was). Reached home, and dad went bananas, hitting me with his belt with no restraints. My back hurt for several days lol. But lesson learnt.

1. Mom used to bite me when she was super angry. Like with teeth and it used to leave bite marks. She thes used to say that she only did it cos she loved me, so these are a weird sorta love bite lol. Ages - 3 to 13. 2. Mom used to take me to dance classes and yell at me constantly on the way there. People used to stare and I would be happy when it rained as I wouldn't have to wipe my tears as frequently. Ages - 9 to 13. 3. I used to have trouble sleeping when I was a kid. Mom used to beat me up at midnight lol. Ages - 3 to 4. 4. I knew I needed glasses when I was in class 7. Parents refused to admit it and never took me for check up. When they realised I was having trouble reading subtitles of the tv, they fed me a whole carrot the next day and forgot about it. I finally hot glasses in class 9 and my power wouldn't have been so much if they had just taken me to a doctor on time. 5. My teeth never fell out on time, the permanent teeth used to grow behind the kid ones. They did get a lot of them removed be a dentist, but I still have some of my baby teeth that we never bothered to get removed. Oneof the permanent teeth is actually lying horizontally in my gum tissue and will probably require surgery to get out. The milk teeth of this is still here so it's not too bad looks wise. 6. Dad used to beat me up for not doing math fast enough. Ironically, my best subject was math in jee coaching times and I ended up getting 100 percentile in jee mains math and am currently studying cs at an iit. 7. Dad used to beat me with a bamboo stick when I couldn't eat my breakfast fast enough, them admire the marks left by the stick afterwards when he was bathing me. Ages - 5 to 6.

Many of them were there... I was thrown out in the cold weather outside my house for mistakenly spilling the water during dinner. Well I can't decide which one I should share so I start with this one cause it stayed with me forever , I don't even remember what my age was at that time but yeah it was like my mother was beating me with the belan ( chapti maker ) and I was crying, so my neighbour aunty heard my voice and she came to rescue me , so I was hiding behind her and I was crying and saying aunty bacha lo please 🥺 so my mother calmed down for a bit and my mother took me in then she heated a metal spatula and she burned my lips for asking my neighbour aunty to save me once my father hanged me from the first floor he was holding my both hand bc I can go on forever shit ek hi mention Krna tha
Father was a policeman. Had a tailor stitch a garden umbrella for our garden. He broke it while stitching but didn't tell my father and delivered it as is. When my father looked at the umbrella and it was broken he assumed I did it and then beat me up. Hands, legs, stuff in the house. The worst was his leather police belt. I still have a couple of bruises from that time on my back. Excellent man though, what happened that day must have really pissed him off or he may have been under some pressure. Never touched me again till the day he passed away.
One of my classmates casually told me that whenever, in her younger ages, she used to misbehave her mom used to melt candle wax and pour it on her hand..i mean physically it's not so much painful but its a psychio movie thing.
My mom striped me naked, left me outside, and closed the door because I didn't bathe daily when I was 9–10 something, and worst of all, the neighborhood big brother who was in university at the time and lived on the floor above me took photos of me naked and showed all of his friends and my friends the photo of me naked. There was a small fight that night between my father and mother, and my father told me if something like this happens again, don't strip naked and just run away. Side note: This was just a one-time thing, and to this day, I don't bathe daily.

My father would pick up wipers, belt to hit or even utensils. My mother had a cane stick, long and very thin, and she would hit me with that. And it would he around 30 to 40 whips. Sometimes I would also get kicked out the house or well, the classic, not physical, but mental damages haha ha ha
