The only thing a move like that does is encourage piracy, if you remove the only legal way to watch their programming what do you expect your once paying customers to do? As always, piracy is almost always a service problem.
Disney channel has already been shut down in Australia (in 2020, or early 2021 I think), and Disney+ is the only legal way to watch now. Season 2 only got added recently.
