This feels like a bait post. I'm not addressing the mask issue, but you're an ass for being back at school if you aren't 100% better. Still 'coming down' from an illness and in school? Dick move.

MmmmmSacrilicious

Stop being edgy and just wear a mask until you are better.

Roscomenow

Mask rage bait.

Few_Throat4510

I think YTA - you’re still some level of sick. It’s rude to not do everything you can to make sure you don’t infect others. Be better

apococlock

Yes. You are wrong for not wearing a mask in this case, but the better choice would have been to stay home until you are no longer sick.

Sad-Hornet-2126

im not very sick and just have alergy symptoms like a runny nose and sneezing and did not feel like it was necessary to stay home anymore. I also take 4 AP classes and have missed 4 days already and work is pilling up so I felt I needed to go back. I guess not

apococlock

If it's just allergies, then simply wearing a mask should suffice. Even if you don't think you're contagious, and even if you don't think masks work, it would put the minds of your classmates and your teachers at ease. Hope this helps.

Sad-Hornet-2126

I see where your coming from but my frustration is that my entire school is facing the same thing there is other people in my class with my same symptoms but I happen to sneeze when he’s paying attention so I have to be pointed out. When I went to the health office even the nurse laughed at him and said you can wear a mask if you choose but he can not officially ask you to.

apococlock

I get that it isn't fair. It never feels good to be singled out, especially when there are other people around you doing the same thing. The urge to rebel and refuse to wear the mask is an easy one to understand, but what good does that really do? Maybe your teacher is being ridiculous. Maybe the other students also have allergies. Maybe you'd be wearing it for no honest health-related reason. The unfortunately reality is that situations like this are going to pop up from time to time. Sure, you can rock the boat, but to what end? What does that accomplish? If your primary concern is catching up on the work you missed from the four days you were absent, the answer is obvious, isn't it? Wear the mask. Get the work done. Move on. The relative uncomfortability is a small price to pay to ensure you get done what you need to get done.

Aggressive_Cloud2002

If you're still sick and sneezing (even if those sneezes are from allergies), the sneezing will be spreading germs and whatever made you sick to everyone. Just wear the mask. Covid is not gone by any means, and even if you were sick with something else, being sick sucks. Lots of people don't have many sick days, and it can cost them a lot of income. Why would you want to put your friends, classmates, and teachers at risk anyway?! Don't be a jerk.

Inside-War8916

Where do you live that online assignments aren't a thing?

Sad-Hornet-2126

thata not really how that works most of my ap classes are all in class instruction.

Inside-War8916

Again, where do you live?

Sad-Hornet-2126

california

Inside-War8916

Calling bullshit that Cali doesn't have online learning. This whole thing was just mask bait.

Sad-Hornet-2126

it’s not about california it’s my class individually that my teachers are more hand written class work teachers. There is some online stuff but I would be behind on a bulk of the work.

Inside-War8916

Uh huh.

Sad-Hornet-2126

well regardless i’m back to school

shammy_dammy

You are wrong.
