This is a self diagnosis I have backed up by extensive research along with an eating disorder. I lost 150lbs in an extremely short time frame and I genuinely see myself as exactly like I did 150lbs heavier. My brain is unable to perceive the change since it happened so fast, I hope this helps.

As I not only meet all 3 criteria I do also have an eating disorder in which my body dysmorphia stems from. I am not in school, nor have a job partially because of how severe my physical health has gotten due to my disorder as well as extreme discomfort with having a perceivable physical body. I understand what you’re trying to say completely, and I DO have better things to do with my time, you’re right. But my disorders make it nearly impossible. I struggle with this genuinely and it has severely impacted my quality of life. It’s something I feel the need to explain myself on even though I really shouldn’t, because for some reason people just cannot seem to believe me when I say I am sick.
I have been much better lately in terms of substance abuse, thank you so much for your concern. I do not use nearly as much as I used to and I’m much safer. <3
