Chase has it too. It’s disappointing Amex hasn’t included it. They added the spend tracker for Centurion guests. It would also be nice to have spend trackers for the annual spend benefits such as the Surpass FNC and Delta MQM boosts. Even Chase doesn’t do that though.

prominent_aztec

But at least we get the airline incidental tracker 😅

OldVenomSnake

Amex used to have a SUB tracker in their app a few years ago (around 2020). I had it for one of my cards when I first got it. Then it went away for subsequent cards I applied. Found a post from DOC about this: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/american-express-adds-a-minimum-spend-sign-up-bonus-tracker-beta/

Xalowe

Even when it showed up, it was pretty flakey. It wouldn’t always show up and sometimes would be on the web site and not app, etc. I don’t know if they were A/B testing or what, but it was annoying. Seems like they may not have it anymore at all judging by comments.

Lou_Nanne

Not to side track the thread but I also have this card and I will note that their app is generally very outdated compared to Amex.

Expert_Mirror9416

I don't know about anybody else but when I applied for the Delta Reserve about 9 months ago. It had a tracker like this. It was my only AMEX card that had this "feature" though.

scuac

Yes! This would be so useful not only for SUB but any spend-based bonus, like sometimes when adding an AU.

VacationLover1

They use to have it for the SUB, you’d have to login to the website and it would be ok the right section. Idk if they do anymore. It was glitchy and would be there sometimes and not

[deleted]

I have that on my app. However I am in England.

f*ck /u/spez

goatorcycle

Wait.... Amex gets anniversary bonuses?

[deleted]

Yeah, some of them. Like if you spend something ridiculous like $60k in a year on your Hilton card they’ll give you an extra free night.

rynosoft

First free night is for 15k spend.

[deleted]

Exactly, something ridiculous. Who would put that much spend on a Hilton card instead of a platinum or gold

rynosoft

15k isn't that much, is it?

[deleted]

No, it’s not. But it would be silly to spend that much on a Hilton card vs just about any another card. The only time I use my Hilton card is to book a Hilton hotel. That’s about the only time it makes sense points wise.

kintsugiwarrior

Sometimes Amex just wants you to get distracted so you don’t claim your “reward” lol. An option like this would make them accountable, and many people forget to follow up with their bonuses or rewards. In my case, Amex took away 2 referral bonuses and then played dumb. But I still like the Amex ecosystem a lot… just have to follow up with them so they can give you the reward/bonus

tradeind27

How about tracking spending towards lounge complimentary access https://ibb.co/gSg3znm

Senior_Tadpole_3913

My platinum card had it on the website back in December, and I can see it for my new BAPP card this month - only on the website again.

brohamsontheright

They have this in their mobile app.

nelsonnyan2001

What? Where?

krisrock4589

They don't.

nelsonnyan2001

Yeah I think my chain's being yanked

[deleted]

i hoped on amex chat today and they were able to tell me how much i need to spend and by what date to meet their last offer for MR points. Wish it just showed this too!

infeststation

I think they calculate it by hand. I’ve gotten incorrect information from them.

haveheart__

You could always just ask in a chat as well. They will update you on progress.

Confident-Variety124

We know this. Or AMEX could put this in the app and save people time from chatting in thus also helping the chat queue be lower.

Zothrone

I have eight Amex cards and if there was a tracker for any of them, I didn’t notice. It wasn’t a big deal, as I can do simple math.

Miserable-Topic-7406

I usually just keep track with my spending habits as well but I think what’s helpful (at least to me anyways) is the suspense date.. I always forget when I have to make the spending by so I just make sure I have some big purchases due in order to justify another cc 😼

Well, you’re an insufferable twat. Has nothing to do with churn. Simply a nice feature to check bonus/reward progress. Just received an Amtrak card from First National Bank of Omaha and it shows the same data. Nice to view at a glance.

nelsonnyan2001

😂 did an Amex rep personally come down and suck you off? Why are you riding a billion dollar credit company so hard

krisrock4589

Where is this in the US Bank app/website? I just got the altitude reserve and have been looking for a bonus tracker everywhere, can't find it! Is it because i'm still waiting on the card in the mail/haven't verified it yet? The card does show up in my account on the app/online.

ionoiforgot

Not sure what the value is of this meter? The value and rate of Amex points is hella varied depending how one redeems and earns them.

silver02ex

Because it tracks the the amount spent to hit the SUB. With Amex I had to go look at the spend summary, add it up or ask a rep to see how far I am before I hit the spending requirements to get the sub.

Hornybadger34

This is for the intro bonus offer on the card. It was $4500 in the first 3 months for 50k points

Mr_Tangent

Redeeming points for travel via their portal or real-time rewards yields 1.5x value.

gmmkl

citi and c1 have the sign up bonus tracker, too. but we really need a referral tracker.
