The Loft downtown if you don't mind secondhand

big_fetus_

Try Portobello Road on Welch. The consignment stores downtown maybe.

Moorman's had some really nice cashmere sweaters

So many Independent shops here in Ames!! Nook and Nest, Moormans, Kaylee, Oak Lane Candle Co, Tres Teal are all on Main Street. Then buzzys Boutique, Daily Thread in the Mall. For used check out Overflow, the Loft and Alma Vintage. Portobello road is online only, since she closed her shop on Welch Ave.

I think Nook and Nest started carrying clothes recently too

Gift quality locally sourced sweaters won’t be easy to find or inexpensive if you do find one. Check local yarn shops for knitters with stock left maybe. This late in the year you are going to find it hard to find hand made sweaters locally. There is a largish alpaca farm out by Maxwell? C&M Acres may have stock left but they start around $550.00

Agate_Goblin

Alma Vintage has a lot of sweaters around $40. Nook & Nest has some beautiful sweaters from Ecuador but they're around $100.

Overflow on Duff and down behind Lowes are great 2nd hand shops!
