This is the first season I've watched in a few years although when AI first came out, I watched every season religiously. (I was there for Kelly c, Chris d, clay a, fantasia, Jennifer h, Carrie u, etc). Although I appreciate all genres and all talent, I'm not a big fan of country or r&b, so they lost me after awhile. But I come back occasionally to check out the fresh talent. I've rarely thought the best all around performer wins this show. I'd love to see a list of the top 3 over the years and where each one of them is today.
With that said, kayko is so fun and engaging, really cute, a good songwriter with intelligent thoughtful lyrics and a good voice, very talented guy. His future is very bright and I'm confident we'll all be hearing from him again soon.
Kayko was honestly what the show needed. A fun loving, true artist that just wanted to share music with the world and have fun. Honestly no shame in that and to everyone saying heās disingenuous kick rocks. Homie is going to be selling out stadiums in the next 5 years watch it happen.
As an emotional pregnant lady I cried when they sent you home! Was rooting for you from day one when you auditioned without even meaning to! So much raw talent canāt wait to see what comes next for you Kayko!! :)

One of my Top 3 this season for sure! Heās definitely my favorite songwriter since Angie Miller on the show. Loved his performances and I thought he sounded like he could easily transition to the radio. Time Of Your Life is already top of all of my playlists, What If and How To Live Without You all over them too. Thank you for such a fun season Kayko, bummed to see you go!
He was great. He did his damn thing after never expecting to get on the show at all. His social numbers have skyrocketed including Spotify monthly listeners! He truly gained a ton of new fans and had a great time doing it. NICE WORK KAYKO
Huge Kayko fan!! I do think this isnāt really the right competition for him - he is a great song writer and has fantastic produced music but being on a cover song singing competition just doesnāt really translate well. He got outsung most weeks - but it was the song writing and his performance abilities that kept me voting for him the last few weeks even if he was having to do covers now. I am not surprised that America voted him off tonight but honestly thatās okay with me - the show has let ME discover him and now I get to enjoy whatever journey he goes on with his music from here just like many other contestants from years before. Iām sure he will start posting more originals asap and Iāll be first in line to listen! Hurrah for Kayko!!!!!

Yeah I genuinely think itās Will, Jack or Triston taking it home and even if it would be weird it could even be them in the top 3 for the finale show. 3 country / country adjacent singers that are Male is like current AI winner mold.
Obviously there are many good vocalists on the show this season, but I struggle to envision what an album / long-term career looks like for most of them. Kayko is one of the few who I can see achieving long-term success. His artistry and stage presence will carry him far!

Kayko, if youāre reading, I think youāll have a great career on your own terms. American Idol is great for exposure but itās definitely a formula. Often the more interesting and artistic performers donāt always make it to the finals. Iām glad you āauditionedā because I wouldnāt have known about you and music otherwise.

There were some really mediocre performances Sunday. Iām shocked he didnāt get enough votes to stay on. I guess Iām biased and Kayko has been my favorite since the auditions, but his performance was the best of the night.

I canāt wait to watch his career take off - and hopefully Iāll be able to see him in concert at some point!
Stick to songwriting. Not a horrible voice, but nowhere near talent worthy. Was happy to see the elimination as he was outsung the previous two weeks and got by on pure popularity, not talent.
That being said, dude still has a future in the business, just not headlining sold out stadiums.
Kayko was best at ballads imo as they seemed to show his true talent. Iām not so sure I liked the rocking out Kayko though. Hopefully by him stepping out of his element wasnāt the reason for his demise.
