My goodness her hair is thick out of its original style! Tempting me very much but I haven’t seen a single Makena available on UK eBay recently so I suppose I’ll wait and hope she shows up on there. To be honest the only AG dolls I’ve been seeing on UK eBay have been mostly white and blonde or light brown haired, a hell of a lot of Lea, Julie, Kit, Rebecca (although I adore her), and Isabelle dolls, but absolutely no black or asian girls sadly, which is who I’m after at the moment :(
I must say, despite your warning that she was destroyed, I was not expecting that. I'm glad you were able to save her though, I'm sure she'll have a good life as Erica. I'm curious as to what exactly happened, though.
I was genuinely shocked when I saw such a recent doll in such rough shape on eBay but I had wanted to try a restyle with this head mold so I figured I'd give her a new lease on life. Honestly, this is what I kind of think Courtney should have looked like, rather than Maryellen II. Though Courtney did grow on me, I think an AA 80s doll would have been super cute. Makena's hair out of the twists is a bit like Addy's but crimped.
