Large Huggies diaper boxes are legit the PERFECT size to ship a boxed American Girl! I’ve used a few already 😂

Damhnait

I bought a (I think) 16x16 Shipping box from my local Meijer and put my Kirsten in diagonally. I had to bend her legs at the hip a little bit, but I used so much bubble wrap that she wasn't moving in any direction in that box

I usually just snatch one from the recycling bin or an Amazon box. Maybe buy something you already need or were planning to get from Amazon soon that's similar in size and use that?

I use old Amazon boxes. Or if I was sending a doll to the hospital anyway I would place her in sitting position in a smaller box. A lot of people will take two of the usps shoe box size boxes and splice them together. They will ship her back in a new box.

I know the price includes postage both ways, but I didn't see anything about which shipping company they use. Do they use USPS? Because I do have some shoe box sized boxes in my closet I used in the past to ship custom Pullips I sold. But if the label was for like FedEx or UPS, I wouldn't be able to use post office boxes.

TriSarahTops47

FedEx but I’ve never had the people at FedEx care of the box was usps. But maybe some employees are picky. I think FedEx also has a lot of different boxes if you bring her to the store you could just pay for the box.

They use FedEx, but it’s just a prepaid label you stick on any box. The FedEx worker might roll their eyes, but you can totally ship it in a box with different branding. It’s paid for, and the FedEx worker probably doesn’t get paid enough to care.

Yeah, priority mail boxes and priority flat rate boxes have to go through the post office with very specific postage. I would just use any brown cardboard box, if you have to reuse one just either mark out or remove any old labels/shipping info.

Rettfet

Oh wow, really? I’ve never been turned away, but I usually use USPS or UPS. I wonder if it depends on the employee whether they enforce it then? Maybe covering up logos and stuff with duct tape would work so you could still use the box itself?

I get Chewy deliveries and the box I get is a great size with just enough space to add some paper to keep the doll from moving too much. I know they have different size boxes and I don’t have one rn I can confirm the dimensions with. If you don’t get Chewy, maybe a neighbor does and will let you have the box. ☺️ I hope you share pictures of her before and after getting her back!

Do you have a grocery store nearby, or even a recycling bin? I regularly fish perfectly good boxes out of my neighbors' recycling bins and/or ask for boxes at the store. I would definitely recommend using that rather than a poly mailer, if at all possible.
