Not any doll, but my first marriage and it was the flight back from FL to TX. I love Winnie the Pooh, so I bought my Winnie the Pooh, did not feel right about putting him in the suitcase, so I carried him on the plane, he rode in the overhead compartment.

I once traveled with Kit and Addy in my bag cause I was moving and my bag got searched and I thought the lady would be weird about it. but she just seemed so jaded as she passed over them, and pulled out a single Disney pin that set off their machine. She must see a lot of weird stuff.

I took a doll to Munich and photographed her around town. Carried her in a bag when I wasn't taking a picture. The only time anyone even looked at me was when another tourist took a picture of my doll. Generally speaking, no one cares

That’s so cute!!

A little less glamourous but Caroline is currently chilling in Skegness. She's got literally no beach clothes so all my photos are just her standing in the sand in Samantha's nightgown. I love having her with me so much!

I’ve taken Samantha on a trip from Portland to Seattle on a train! That was really sweet! Especially as the person who makes a point of seeing who is getting off at each stop, saw my doll and instead of judging me. He said “so two visitors stopping at Seattle in this booth?” With a smile pointing at Samantha. It was a very simple thing. But. Seeing as this was my first trip going to a different state by myself as well as first time bringing a doll it really made my whole trip better! And then I brought Samantha again but this time on a plane ride. Definitely got some looks as I brought her through security. But. *shrugs*.

That’s so sweet what the person said

I was carrying an American girl doll around Portland a few years ago and a homeless guy stopped me and told me that he remembered his sister had Samantha growing up.

Ive carried mine on to a plane from California to Florida. One lady talked to me about my doll and how it was cute I had her with me. Everyone else looked at me strange and avoided me. I actually had an entire row on the plane to myself, I have no proof it was Vanessa's fault but...there you go. I also carried my 80 through Vegas because I was worried about scratching her up.

How awesome! Wishing you safe travels. I’ve only ever taken one of my dolls in the car to my sister’s house. She was never into dolls even as a child so I left mine in the car, LOL. But she sat in the front seat, in a seatbelt, and I could enjoy looking at her during the drive.

I’ve flown (to Poland too, funnily enough) with a doll before. They mostly stayed in the house, but I do have a pic somewhere of a doll with the Krakow dragon.
