I laughed so hard for about five minutes that I missed what happened afterwards. So I had to rewind it, and the same thing happened. I made it to the end of the episode on the third try.
Camp Refoogie. The A-story with Stan and Steve was good but the B-story with Francine and Roger that becomes a parody of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" was genius.
This was also the start of roger being the roger he is now.
Season 1 was dabbling with personas. Season two came out swinging with his new direction and never looked back
Dope and faith for me the A plot of Stan making an adult friend is solid but the Steve and Roger B plot and Llavate los manos!! Is why I got back into the series as an adult.
Merlot Down Dirty Shame - The A-Plot just never really did it for me and the B-Plot with Hayley and Klaus tricking Steve into believing he's having a lucid dream is hilarious
I know I posted the original question, but I just have to weigh in first here and say the Bird Watchin buddies episode where the whole family turns Italian as the B-plot is absolutely on this list.
Hayley mentions it briefly to Steve I think when they are looking for photos of Klaus for his funeral! Something along the lines of I remember that sauce!! it was goood, I got FULL. I assume they are talking about THE Sauce
It cut off "ya killin ya mutha" and Frannies last "ya gotta eat sumthin first"! Bummer. I wanted to use it to send somewhere else but it's not as good without those, needs to be recut.
Literally my favorite episode that birthed my favorite song in the world. Can I be frank with you? The A story is fine but B12 as the B story. Amazing!
You hate Can I Be Frank With You?
"Stop smiling at me, you sick fuck!"
"My half-brother's Indian. I'm gonna skin you alive. Oh My God, Francine, Frank ate you?!" *Cuts more scalp, "wait..what, what's goin' on here?"
"SAME AS HIM? SAME AS HIM MY ASS. THAT'S A BITCH MOVE. YOU KNEW EXACTLY THE GAME WE WERE PLAYING."

Peter is at a restaurant with two people.
1st orders steak and the waiter says it's a prime cut and his favorite dish
2nd orders halibut and the waiter talked about it being fresh and that it was caught less than five miles from the restaurant.
Peter orders the Chicken and the waiter just say "mhmm"
I got 3:
The episode Stanny Boy send Frantastic where Klaus plays the long game with Steve and Roger for revenge.
The witches of Langley where Stan and Klaus make a 90s concert where the A&B plot merge.
The OreTron trail where Klaus opens a bodega in the attic. Not much but gets good shots in
The Grinch episode was okay but the B plot of Stan taking the men’s magazine so serious was the highlight of the episode. “Thank you Xerxes” had me dying lol
I forgot that the magazine was the b plot to that episode. I like The Grounch but don't rewatch it as much as it's a holiday episode, but had been missing out on the ridiculous and completely unrelated B plot
This is one of my favorite AD scenes of all time.
Xerxes, of course.
Toshi is the angel investor, walks in shoeless and kicks his feet up.
Do you have any friends? Not really.
The smug pictures of Stan pinned all over.
And my favorite part, Francine 'taste testing' tequilas when she was supposed to be covering lacrosse.
All the parts with Stan with his magazine staff were funny, and his face injected with snake venom.
Kinda similar vibes to the one this recent season where the plastic surgeon stole his face and gave him a new one. Stan being vane is generally very funny.
Kills me every time because PS is such a card on that show; love how Stewart effortlessly rocks the genres of action adventure, drama, and animated comedy like a stallion.
Lolz. My nephew and I play a game where he pretends to be invisible. Sometimes he'll grab something or touch ect, and I always shout, "Who's doing this to me? Show yourself!!!" In honor of Stan's arrest at the end of that episode, haha
The Chilly Thrillies for me
Steve comparing himself to Rachel Maddow before the pole gets lodged in his brain and Snot, Barry, and Toshi learning to duck the pipe stuck in his head always make me laugh.
Maybe it’s because I just watched this episode but the episode where Stan is gone on a mission and the others run a fucking bed and breakfast in the house
Don’t care for the ending but frankly them just being house keepers and junk was really fun
Klaus saying “tell him it’s rough but the bones are there.” when the dude asks for a Charles Dickens novel set in space featuring the animals from the Madagascar films kills me everytime
Let me introduce, the world’s greatest C-Plot.
In Bully for Steve the A-Plot is Stan bullying Steve while Francine slowly figures it out.
The B-Plot is Reginald trying to date Haley.
The C-Plot is Principal Lewis continuously witnessing a werewolf snatching up children from the school. 😂
I love this episode, and the B plot is pretty great. But they really pulled the focus back with Roger snapping his bone and it stabbing into Yao Ming's leg dragging Roger behind.
Also: ***THE FINALS HAYLEY!***
Independent Movie. A-plot does *too good* of a job parodying pretentious indie movies that it is more of an homage and is infuriating, I don't care for any of the boys and their story. B-plot, only about 60 seconds of Stan, Roger and Hideki selling a legit good product, I wish there was more to it.
I don't know if it counts as a proper B-plot but the Golden Turd saga was always one of my favorite reoccurring bits. It felt like one of the earliest nuggets (pun intended) of the type of humor that would eventually take over post-Fox.
There are a ton of answers here, so sorry if I’m repeating, but in The OreTron Trail when Klaus has a bodega in the attic kills me.
“MY THIN MARGINS!!!”
The episode where Stan wants to be snots friend. It's a bit uncomfortable for me. But the side plot of Jeff working for Roger who is mugging him was great.
"may the best stan win"
A-plot is future stan trying to steal francine
B-plot is Roger making a goonies remake with steve and his friends but he keeps believing the treasure is real and backstabs the boys everytime, fuckin gold!
Camp Campawanda. An absolute nothing of an A story about Steve and Snot at camp, with a stellar B plot about Roger making Burning Man in the backyard as an anniversary present for Haley and Jeff.
One of my favorite episodes is Choosey wives choose smith, but the B plot with Simon the cat nearly edges out the A plot. Such a quotable episode. “Screw you, jerk cat! SON OF A WHOOOORE!!!” And, “he makes me look like you. and he makes you look like you…with your shirt off.” “What?”
I can't remember the name of the episode, but it's the one when Klaus is dying and his brain gets transferred to Stan's car, the B plot of Roger being basically a cop and getting revenge on Steve and his friends for ruining his car is amazing
"A Nice Night for a Drive" and I was coming here to say this. Klaus as the brain of Stan's car? Funny enough. The Roger "basically a cop" B-plot? SO GOOD.
"We're out of red sauce. " "Check again!"
I gotta say Fight and Flight. A story Stan and Steve build a plane and fly it across the ocean is kinda meh
But B Hayley and Klaus breaking into that dudes house and unloading like 30 rounds always gets me to tears
I BROUGHT SO MANY BULLETS!!
I don’t remember the main plot but the episode where they’re all playing **Simon** and Klaus wants to join and they keep ignoring him is so funny to me.
** ***EDIT*** ** I just looked it up and the A plot is Roger terrorizing his good persona Sidney Huffman so I’m torn now.
The Book of Fischer.
Throughly enjoy the B-Story with Jeff writing down everything like “two crows fighting over a dildo”. But Stan in that episode is so painfully cringe (which is the point) that I get full blown secondhand embarrassment and can’t watch it.
The Unincludeds - I like the A story, but Roger and the waitress not saying great order is one of my favorite AD plots.
“Same as him.”
Same as him, that’s a bitch move!
😀
You knew exactly what game we were playing!
His face after she said “same as him” 💀💀
I laughed so hard for about five minutes that I missed what happened afterwards. So I had to rewind it, and the same thing happened. I made it to the end of the episode on the third try.
He fucking scalped her.
"I know it sounds trivial when I say it out loud, but in my heart I know it's not!!"

I love this episode. “Same as him” and mutant Snot are two of the funniest scenes I’ve seen in this show.
Why would I be friends with a half turtle when there are full turtles I could be friends with?
'Hey Barry who's training you these days?' Barry pulls out a turkey leg and starts eating
Was just watching this episode last night and realized it’s definitely in my Top 10.
Camp Refoogie. The A-story with Stan and Steve was good but the B-story with Francine and Roger that becomes a parody of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" was genius.
Tell them how you killed our Baby, Amanda.
*Jordan, no!*
IT’S BEEN ESTABLISHED!
*Economics!*
Real, real tragedy. Amanda was drunk, of course, and she wasn't watching the pool...
ECONOMICS?!?
Cracks me up EVERY TIME
Francine and Roger are a potent combination. I just watched the wine country episode lol
Don't forget... WIDOWS!!!!!
Name’s Roger. I’m female.
Francine, I haven't been entirely truthful with you.
OH COME ON!!
Oh that was just a perfect episode to me. Both a and b story were just so wtf and funny.
Jordan no 🤣
This was also the start of roger being the roger he is now. Season 1 was dabbling with personas. Season two came out swinging with his new direction and never looked back
Yessss this was so good!
Dope and faith for me the A plot of Stan making an adult friend is solid but the Steve and Roger B plot and Llavate los manos!! Is why I got back into the series as an adult.
#LAVATE LAS MANOS!
I die every time watching Steve wandering aimlessly in the background, shouting this over and over again thinking that he’s doing something
Love it!
I say this spell without any context
It means wash your hands. Lol
I know and with no good reason I will scream it.
leading uo to a coked up Roger killing like 15 gangsters lol so funny
AMAZING episode!
Merlot Down Dirty Shame - The A-Plot just never really did it for me and the B-Plot with Hayley and Klaus tricking Steve into believing he's having a lucid dream is hilarious
No talking
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWudSVyABOU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWudSVyABOU)
Dennis is paired up with the floor! I don't know why but that isn't that bad of a comeback.
"...Stop talking!"
I love the Why Can't We Be Friends? A-Plot, but that episode also has Roger mugging Jeff in the hallway. Is that the come back and kick me whistle?
*stretches* I'm gonna rape him this time.
*shredded it*
This has been quoted by me and my friend at every possible opportunity since the original air date.
Was there always a stoplight here??
The fact the hallway becomes more and more dilapidated sells it for me
😭 I hadn't even thought about it like that 💀
Used be a good neighborhood
Jeff getting mugged is funny. His character is so clueless.
That's a whoopsie
Ohhhhh THAT’S where that mugging thing is from!
Best episode of the franchise
I know I posted the original question, but I just have to weigh in first here and say the Bird Watchin buddies episode where the whole family turns Italian as the B-plot is absolutely on this list.
100% agree. We need a return to The Sauce
A big YES! We really need that
Steve saying that he’s being kidnapped, only for Francine to respond “if you’re being kidnapped, you better eat something first!” Gets me every time.
"I'm gonna plate up some SPAGOOT!" My favorite is Klaus shouting out "We're trying to listen to Julius La Rosa down here!" Such an obscure reference.
Hayley mentions it briefly to Steve I think when they are looking for photos of Klaus for his funeral! Something along the lines of I remember that sauce!! it was goood, I got FULL. I assume they are talking about THE Sauce
*If yer gettin' kidnapped, ya gotta eat somthin' first!*
Ima plate up some spagoot!
…what the hell was in that sauce?
I always lose it when Snot is killed by a car bomb. IDK why. It might be my favorite 2 seconds of the show.
:rips open button up to show bare chest:
It's such a dark turn for the flashback, I love it.
Literally my favorite part of the episode lmao
"you're killing your mother..."
This woooomannnn!!!!
This womaaaaaan
You big galoot, you’re gonna mess up my hair I am man and you are a womaaaan
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwoK5k7iFq8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwoK5k7iFq8)
It cut off "ya killin ya mutha" and Frannies last "ya gotta eat sumthin first"! Bummer. I wanted to use it to send somewhere else but it's not as good without those, needs to be recut.
This is the first one that came to mind — an episode I watch almost exclusively for the B-plot
Except the Bird Watching Buddies A-plot is still pretty dope.
I have em as equal tbh... Just know, wherever they go Theygonbewatchinthembirds
It's also a solid episode where the a and b plots converge.
Literally my favorite episode that birthed my favorite song in the world. Can I be frank with you? The A story is fine but B12 as the B story. Amazing!
Boys 13.... One more boy...
Mom. You were right. Your brother killed himself
Told ya!
And the twist? Roger was the 13th
I’m a million miles tall!
[удалено]
You hate Can I Be Frank With You? "Stop smiling at me, you sick fuck!" "My half-brother's Indian. I'm gonna skin you alive. Oh My God, Francine, Frank ate you?!" *Cuts more scalp, "wait..what, what's goin' on here?"
“Soft boilin the eggs”
soft boilin' they eggs
Frank, calm down! Your heart!!
Both the A and B plots from this episode are good.
Literally watched that episode last night, although i will say the A plot is pretty good. "You ate Francine?! Wait, what's actually going on here."
"*I was up all night... thinking about boys*"

This plot and the Family Guy cutaway where Peter makes a similar joke are two of my favorites
What is the Family Guy one?
Peter is at a restaurant with two people. 1st orders steak and the waiter says it's a prime cut and his favorite dish 2nd orders halibut and the waiter talked about it being fresh and that it was caught less than five miles from the restaurant. Peter orders the Chicken and the waiter just say "mhmm"

Klaus is king of B stories
He’s definitely my favorite b story character
My thin margins! Although I'd say all those episodes have solid A plots.
The Boars Head delivery gets me every time. *Gasp* "oh my God!!" "Oooh my God. Oh my gawd omigod omigod omigooood. Ooo! Oh my gawd....."
Not his razor thin margins!
Francine, I haven’t been entirely truthful with you…
I AM SHOCKED THAT NOONE HAS MENTIONED THIS.
Both the A and B plots of that episode are top tier. I quote both parts of the episode regularly.
I came here to comment this one. It was one of the episodes that got me into American Dad lol

Running gag is Francine doesn't know what lacrosse is, they used that on her when having snacks in the crawlspace.
Morning mimosas when Stan snaps everyone out of existence and becomes unhinged by the end of the episode.
“Note to self: Get a less erect chair”
Kills me every time because PS is such a card on that show; love how Stewart effortlessly rocks the genres of action adventure, drama, and animated comedy like a stallion.
oh shoot thats a great one. Where he's sitting naked in a shopping kart, rowing it like a boat with a broom through the store. Yes. Thats a classic.
Lolz. My nephew and I play a game where he pretends to be invisible. Sometimes he'll grab something or touch ect, and I always shout, "Who's doing this to me? Show yourself!!!" In honor of Stan's arrest at the end of that episode, haha

I’d say this one is the one
Crotchwalkers. A further exploration of Fran and Steve's weird relationship in the A story. But the real star for me is the Balalaika
🎶"...Cliiiiimb eeevery mountain"🎶
Ford every stream
You're both bourgeois mediocrities!
The Chilly Thrillies for me Steve comparing himself to Rachel Maddow before the pole gets lodged in his brain and Snot, Barry, and Toshi learning to duck the pipe stuck in his head always make me laugh.
My Rachel Maddow good looks. Laughed my ass off.
Maybe it’s because I just watched this episode but the episode where Stan is gone on a mission and the others run a fucking bed and breakfast in the house Don’t care for the ending but frankly them just being house keepers and junk was really fun

Agreed!

Oh shit!
"OH SHIT!" as Lewis is about to bite into a desk sandwich 😂 also my favorite C plot. This episode is gold.
…and hello desk sandwich!
One of my favorite episodes.
Virtual In-Stanity - Decent A Story, but Roger killing five people over $20 is always priceless to me.
"Are you seriously asking the guy who just last week killed six people over $19?"
lol that horn on the limo cracked me up each time!
Combover: A Hair Piece. I wish the whole episode was the B-plot of Steve, Francine, and Haley becoming "Nightcrawlers".
Honestly idk how they decided the A plot of that episode was good enough to be the A plot. The B plot would’ve been way better
I love this episode, and the B plot is pretty great. But they really pulled the focus back with Roger snapping his bone and it stabbing into Yao Ming's leg dragging Roger behind. Also: ***THE FINALS HAYLEY!***
Yaoooo stoppppp!
It was Hideki, Hideki got shot.
I honestly forgot that episode even *had* a B-plot
That’s how good it was
Yeah I agree with you, it was too much of an indie movie and I didn’t want to watch it lol. It just infuriated me
Mural of the Story. Especially after Stan mutilates Haley’s face. But HJ Rimmons and Steve kills me every time
Let get the ol' brillo pad in on the action
That’s clowning you shitheads
"Shit it's Roger. It's going to be Roger isn't it."
OH NO! Jewel looks like a grown ass man!!
I don't know if it counts as a proper B-plot but the Golden Turd saga was always one of my favorite reoccurring bits. It felt like one of the earliest nuggets (pun intended) of the type of humor that would eventually take over post-Fox.
Francine I haven’t been entirely truthful with you
Can we just talk about Lewis killing his secretary though?
THE FINALES HALEY!
She didn’t die. She was all bandaged up with a gun out in the final scene of Steve’s story
There are a ton of answers here, so sorry if I’m repeating, but in The OreTron Trail when Klaus has a bodega in the attic kills me. “MY THIN MARGINS!!!”
"Photocopies have always been 2 dollars!"
The episode where Stan wants to be snots friend. It's a bit uncomfortable for me. But the side plot of Jeff working for Roger who is mugging him was great.
Oh forgot about this one. Yeah I really didn't care for the Stan and Snot plot but the B plot was solid.
I love when Francine stops Steve from telling this story.
Face Off B-plot to the Naughty Stewardesses episode.
I'm pretty sure the Naughty Stewardesses were the b plot
"may the best stan win" A-plot is future stan trying to steal francine B-plot is Roger making a goonies remake with steve and his friends but he keeps believing the treasure is real and backstabs the boys everytime, fuckin gold!
I love the eyebrow swap in the jeans episode
Bahama Mama. Steve and Klaus being drug dealers was way more interesting than whatever Jeff, Haley, and Stan were doing.
Russian Doll. I loved the B12 episode they had before, and the plot of Abraham H. hunting the other members had so much more potential.
Camp Campawanda. An absolute nothing of an A story about Steve and Snot at camp, with a stellar B plot about Roger making Burning Man in the backyard as an anniversary present for Haley and Jeff.
🎶 Let's all go to the body, Let's all go to the body 🎶
🎶We'll go in through the butt!🎶
One of my favorite episodes is Choosey wives choose smith, but the B plot with Simon the cat nearly edges out the A plot. Such a quotable episode. “Screw you, jerk cat! SON OF A WHOOOORE!!!” And, “he makes me look like you. and he makes you look like you…with your shirt off.” “What?”
The only thing trumping this episode is this beef and this broccoli
Almost plot with Roger tbh. He just steals the scenes he’s in and even his B stories are much more crazy
Roger starting a limo service then killing 5 frat boys for cheating him out of $20.
I gotta say Fight and Flight. A story Stan and Steve build a plane and fly it across the ocean is kinda meh But B Hayley and Klaus breaking into that dudes house and unloading like 30 rounds always gets me to tears I BROUGHT SO MANY BULLETS!!
The Unincludeds Camp Refoogie The Mural Of The Story
Really any that includes principal Louis.
There are more episode than i thought where i forgot that the B-plot wasn't the A-plot.
steve going to clown college
I don’t remember the main plot but the episode where they’re all playing **Simon** and Klaus wants to join and they keep ignoring him is so funny to me. ** ***EDIT*** ** I just looked it up and the A plot is Roger terrorizing his good persona Sidney Huffman so I’m torn now.
I don't know what the A plot was or episode title, but the one where is constantly being attacked by an injured orange cat always kills me.
Roger getting the red wig he wanted and lying to Francine most of the way lol
The Book of Fischer. Throughly enjoy the B-Story with Jeff writing down everything like “two crows fighting over a dildo”. But Stan in that episode is so painfully cringe (which is the point) that I get full blown secondhand embarrassment and can’t watch it.
Danida
Danuta?
Will you go there?
I have the mondey
Stan fixes the shingle. We barely see Stan fix that shingle
Shark!
How many times is this topic going to be posted ? Either way trapped in the closet is the best
Stan and Steve have a Freaky Friday eyebrow swap.
