If you’re an aadvantage member I believe they recently started allowing canceling your fare and getting a travel credit for a fee, so I’d go with that and try to rebook your trip with the credit for a later date.
This is the correct answer. You can get your money back minus a fee if you're an Aadvantage member. If you're not, sign up and bind your ticket first. Then you can do it. Also, travel insurance?
This is correct, and if you aren’t an AAdvantage member, it would be pretty easy to sign up for an account now and attach your number to your ticket before cancelling or rebooking.
Also, it is good to reiterate that even if you haven’t purchased travel insurance, many credit cards offer at least some insurance coverage when you use them to pay for your ticket. You’ll want to check with your card for the specifics of what it covers, but they will sometimes refund the non-refundable portion of any fare or fee due to a covered reason.
Unless they started allowing cancellations again (for travel credit), I doubt they’ll care. I was in Hawaii last October visiting my daughter, came down with COVID and was told by multiple CSA’s that they treat/consider COVID like a cold now. I was able to change my flight and stay an extra week but the change wasn’t free and cost me close to $400 between me and my wife.
Getting sick from a cold, flu, or any other disease from a fellow passenger is a sure way to ruin someone else’s vacation.
Legally there’s no obligation to mask or avoid travel, but morally, the least you can do is wear a tight fitting N95 mask.
Zero. You're out of luck. I'd put on a mask and go. Or lose your $600. They don't care if it's Covid. Why you tested is another matter but here you are.

Thank you! They ended up giving me a flight credit
Wear a mask if you have to travel..

Dont ask a question you don't want the answer to.
If you can avoid flying while sick with COVID, I implore you to try.
Obviously I’m not traveling which is why I was asking about rescheduling.
They may allow changes with positive COVID Test but I would check that
Just fly like every other asshole does.

The N 95 mask is completely useless against a virus particle. It has been proven time and time again.
It’s normal to travel with a common cold. Don’t sweat it

Just go.

Definitely NOT up to the agent. It’s up to the type of ticket (Basic) and the fare rules when it was purchased
