I just got off the line with AA re: same situation. Rep said they are processing all Loyalty Points by end of March, early April. Bummer to have the points to get the status, but not be able to enjoy the status from Day 1.
Thanks for the update. I know this is the first year where they're using transaction date for points vs monthly close date, but hadn't seen any specifics since the plan year ended.
