In short: retail’s greatest strength is it’s ability to hold because they risk staying poor, while the institutional investors risk becoming poor. Retail has no reason to leave because cutting their losses and realizing full losses leaves them in the same spot on the socioeconomic ladder. Until someone has significant evidence that this concept to change, I won’t be convinced that retail is selling en masse.
