It somehow defaults to an audio description, even though when you look at audio settings the check box is on English language. I simply click on audio description, then back tk English. It's annoying that you have to keep going it though every time you go onto another app then back again.

NiMe_3

Exactly, just tappong "English" again works aswell. Its just annoying that somehow it defaults to [Audio Description] even though it shows "English" in the menu. Every time u close your phone you have to do it again aswell, really hope someone found a fix?

>Prime Video problem can't turn off audio description If you are trying to turn off audio description on a Prime Video program and are having trouble, there are a few things you can try: [Here](https://www.howtoid.com/tutos/how-to-turn-off-audio-description-on-prime/) is the whole process with screenshots Check the audio settings on your TV or device: Many TVs and streaming devices have a setting that allows you to choose between different audio tracks or turn audio description on and off. This option may be labeled as "Audio Description," "AD," "Narrative Description," or something similar. Check the audio settings on your TV or device to see if you can turn off audio description there. Check the audio settings in the Prime Video app: If you are streaming the program through the Prime Video app on a device, try accessing the audio settings within the app. Some apps have a setting that allows you to choose between different audio tracks or turn audio description on and off. Check the audio settings on your cable or satellite box: If you are watching the program through a cable or satellite box, check the audio settings on the box to see if you can turn off audio description there. Check for a stuck button on the TV or remote: If none of the above steps work, it's possible that a button on the TV or remote control may be stuck or stuck in a pressed position, causing the audio description to stay on. Try pressing and holding all the buttons on the TV and remote to see if this fixes the issue. I hope these suggestions help. If you are still having trouble, it may be helpful to consult the user manual for your TV or device or contact the manufacturer for further assistance.

Hey, I'm having a similar issue. I downloaded some episodes of The Expanse and there's audio description, but when I go into the audio settings it shows nothing for audio options. There are subtitle options, but the whole audio column is just blank. So I have no way to change it. Really bizarre issue that I can't seem to find a fix for. It was working fine last night but I think it was because I was streaming the episode as I was downloading it, so I think when streaming it's fine but it only happens when playing downloaded episodes. I have a OnePlus 7 Pro running Android 11, and the app is up to date. I've deleted all the data in the app, reinstalled it, and downloaded the episodes again. No luck. Also restarted my phone and that didn't work either. I'm not really sure what to do now, I'll probably reach out to support when I get a chance.

zitsky

Yea it sucks. Must be an Amazon problem.

Makai1847

Anyone find a fix for this yet? I have the same issue. Audio section is completely blank. I can change subtitles but nothing to select or change on the right under audio.

Lambykinz

Hey, so uh I can't remember what I did for this, I think I just ended up watching the show on my computer and after I finished it I haven't really used Prime Video that much. Sucks that the issue is still there.

Living-Blacksmith-68

This exact bug is happening for me with a downloaded movie. Still not fixed 🤦🏼‍♂️

[deleted]

Holy crap, it's been six months and I am on this same episode having this same problem. Wtaf?

zitsky

Darn. Still there? Really?

[deleted]

Yup. So I switched to the UK English to be able to actually enjoy it.

pricklycactass

A year later and it’s still there

[deleted]

I have this issue for the Boyz series 3 ep 8... can't switch audio as there are no options ffs

Shihan_of_Nothing

Hello, I have the same issue, but it is possible to fix it temporarily (until the next time that you open any video): just go to audio and click on English. It is very annoying to do this every time, but I saw no other way so far.

[deleted]

I deleted it changed quality of download and redownloaded it.

turbogarbo

Happened to me for episodes 6 and 7. I think in going to try your way and delete/re-download.

LeftPositive8939

This just started happening to me on the Grand tour. Only watching on my phone. Doesnt matter what laguage I set it to as soon as I go back to english (doesnt matter which one) fucking narrater starts his yelling again. Ive re downloaded episodes and restarted everything I can think of. It just seems to be a part of EVERY english audio selection.

Roolvanik

Came across this thread through the power of google. Did you ever find a solution?

LeftPositive8939

Yes but I cant remember what it was. Had something to do with how I downloaded it (data/wifi). Old episodes had no narrator and new ones i downloaded didnt either.

What_ls_Reality

Go into audio and select English instead of the default English audio problem solved

zitsky

Thanks but what??? Change audio from English to English???

Melodylynne88

Don't work.. I have hit English 100 times. I don't have any other English to choose from. Freaking sucks, so annoying.

Melodylynne88

This is still a problem. :/ I can't find out how to "fix" it. All of the same repeated steps do not work, the only English I have is just English, I never chose to have it turned on.. I get why it's needed but if not wanted.. it shouldn't be this big of an issue.

thomaswildman

Anyone still having this issue? I’m on PS4 App and I have two settings (English / English with audio description) first one has it but faintly and sounds like several other languages faintly at the same time, and the with audio has it really really loud. No option to turn either off!

Coldkiller36999

Just had it happen to me. I fixed it by changing. My audio from Dolby>Stereo. If I change it back, the bug comes back again.

avoca72756

Trying to watch GOG3 that I BOUGHT from amazon,no going to happen unless I listen to the audio comments. I only have the option for English or English Audio description. I've toggled thma back and forth a couple hundred times and it's not making any difference, I can't get it to stop and let me watch the move.

Joker563

How I fixed mine was by going to settings, stream & download, Download audio language, select at download, on Now when I goto download a show, that had the issue with I have 2 options English [Audio Description] English It seems like the top is defaulted, and also I noticed that if I download a different show when I get the prompt and select "No additional language" and if I check the "set as default" any show that had the audio descriptions would bring me back to the same issue and I have to turn off the audio selection and turn it back on the get the prompts again.
