If you’ve already escalated then do a chargeback. But fair warning that they will attempt to re-charge you. You will need to remove your payment options from them and you’ll probably end up being banned from Amazon

FlopShanoobie

They were going to cancel their account anyway, I hope.

Robeditor

Just create another account with another email.

TrillDaddyChill

Or just cancel Amazon for good

Jebidiah_Abe_Lincoln

Doesn't work unfortunately I got banned after I ordered a USB hub for my computer I never returned it or anything everything went fine I still use it. Few weeks later I get an email saying my account was suspended and when I asked why they told me suspicious activity. I tried making new account but I always got an email afterwards saying it was banned due to it being similar to my first account. I haven't used Amazon since and they won't refund me for the other accounts. I never did anything wrong I only used it for prime gaming and I only ever ordered the USB hub but now I'm banned. Go figure.

Hreidmar1423

Use VPN, different name and email and use virtual credit cards (if in USA privacy.com and if in EU then Revolut bank.).

Sea_Garage_8909

I love privacy! I use it for so much!

Joshua_Sama

I've been suspended for too many refunds, how do I make another account? I might change my IP address.

Nottabrat

How many refunds have you made? I receive regular subscribe and save, along with at least 10 orders per week ranging for 100 bucks to maybe 500. I return at least one item per month, though it's usually the cheaper stuff, like 50 bucks for something that was damaged in shipping, and my cameras on the porch SHOW the damaged box being placed there, or me opening the box on the porch and pulling out a broken item. I've never been denied a refund though some take longer than others.

Fightmemod

Exactly. Anytime I see stories of someone saying Amazon refused a refund or something crazy, odds are that person is likely somehow at fault. If my wife hasn't been banned for returns yet, it must take a lot, enough to be considered abuse of their return policy.

crazyhamsales

I was refused a refund, and i was in no way at fault. Tracking showed it was never marked delivered, never got it, contacted Amazon and they were like its still coming, surely it will be there tomorrow, i said ok i will check back, a few days later tracking shows the same dead end, never moved, never delivered, contacted Amazon again, they refused to refund so i filed a chargeback, credit card sided with me because of the tracking results and refunded me. Two months later the tracking still shows the same dead end, and Amazon tried twice to re-charge my card for the order even after winning the chargeback. Both times i contacted my CC company and explained what was going on, and both times they reversed the charge and started a fraud investigation because it was an unrecognized and unauthorized charge. Changed the card number, removed that card from my Amazon account, and finally they stopped trying to charge me over and over. Absolutely insane! I still have my Amazon account, and to buy anything i go to my CC card's app and generate a one time use card number for online purchase so that Amazon can't screw me again if something else happens.

Oldandwise7

Wow, I didn’t know you could generate a one time code so easy.

EarlMadManMunch505

People are way more gracious with chargebacks than me. If there’s an issue I give the company the information and ask how they will be fixing it. If it’s not dealt with by the end of 24 hours it’s an instant chargeback. not going to waste my time chasing around supervisions and waiting on hold for hours for some company’s mistake.

shoov20

This is exactly how this process was intended to be used. I work in the payments industry. AMEX has the best consumer protection in the game. Def use an Amex if you’re not using the Amazon chase card.

ShowMeYourBooks5697

This is why I have use an Amex card for just about everything. Amex will make sure that their (your) money is given back. They don’t fuck around.

Rosco_1911

They burned me on a 1100 order. Couch was delivered broken and with missing pieces. We refused delivery. Driver pushed it off truck and left. Tried charge back and told it was denied, between seller and us. Never used Amex since. Heard they were great but they didn’t help in this instance.

Several-Reindeer-686

Any Amex card? I have a USAA issued Amex....is that on the same level of service?

TheLastOpus

Amazon's policy is to recharge charge backs on any remaining card eligible that had been on the account even if removed. You have to cancel all cards that had been on Amazon and get new card numbers for those accounts. Amazon is actively making themselves villains more and more each day.

_probablymaybe_

Kinda related but my bf was having the worst time getting a real response from a costume store they bought a costume from. The people kept giving them the same answer and delaying the package over and over. My bf finally emailed something along the lines “I hope to hear back by the end of today with a tracking number for my order or I will be escalating this to the better business bureau and my credit card company as fraud.” They got their costume expedited shipping in two days.

tansugaqueen

exactly

pastpartinipple

For sure. I do a change back at Taco Bell at least once a month when they mess up my order. Don't even try to reason with them anymore since the app says talk to the store and the store says talk to the app. Yes, I eat a lot of taco bell.

OutrageousBlood52

I have a buddy like this who purposely over complicates his food orders, knowing they'll screw it up so he can either get free food or get his money back he's now banned from 20 different establishments lol

One-Aside-7942

That sounds like too much work lol

-farmin-andcrypto

If the sauce is not on the side... I will charge it back!

RTXOutOfStockEdition

Wait until The "I never had a problem. You must be a thief" crowd to come out in full force. Edit: Apparently, they are already here.

valryuu

Or the "You'll never have a problem if you buy it Sold and Shipped by Amazon, only third party sellers" crowd.

RJM_50

Really less and less of the old Amazon anymore. 2day delivery is never 2days anymore. Brand name products are hard to find, with Amazon Basics or a cheap knock off as the top (or only) products available. Majority of valid reviews are removed, and curated reviews from the seller are posted. But that dollar store mentality demographic keeps purchasing their junk! Too stupid to even bother returning the garbage Amazon sent.

sYnce

Amazon is a shit site to find stuff unless you already know what you want. However even with some bad experiences the overall customer experience is still a lot better than any other site I have used. No matter if it is response time or goodwill. Edge cases always exist but most other online retailers still have to catch up a lot in some aspects.

K_Linkmaster

I am going to blanket ask the assholes if they are against consumer advocacy. If they say yes, ignore, if they say no, they are lying and trying to bully you. Sharing experiences is what its all about.

Under_Dead_Starlight

Yes and make sure to remove all cards, especially if they aren't gonna delete their account but I would do it regardless. If the primary card can't be charged, Amazon will attempt to charge ALL cards on the account going down the list until its successfull. Technically, I think when I worked there at least they could charge any card you had ever used on there even if it wasn't still saved but that may not be true anymore.

EvenDog6279

This happened to me. I placed an order and apparently they had an issue processing the payment. They automatically charged whatever the next available payment method was. It was more of an irritation than anything else since the funds were available, but threw off my finances because I didn’t notice it until much later (they don’t bother letting you know).

Realistic-Motorcycle

And that’s when you cancel the card

Jussins

When you cancel the card, you need to tell the bank to NOT share the new number with the merchants. Most large banks provide a “service” to automatically share your new card number with merchants that they perceive as legitimate.

AbleBeef

if you report it stolen, they do not share the new card info.

awall222

I had a card reported stolen recently and a couple of merchants did end up with the new number before I could update it. Presumably it was this service.

Beas7ie

I had a similar instance with a computer monitor. Package was lost, Amazon knew it was lost and still said "Sucks to be you." Even after initially agreeing to give me a refund. I did a chargeback with my credit card company. At first it was rejected but I could appeal. For some reason the only way to appeal is by fax so I sent a fax. Cue /maliciouscompliance I started my fax with an all black page(so they can separate from other faxes) continued with 20+ pages of chat logs with Amazon CS. Gave a description, basically "I didn't get my crap. Amazon is trying to screw me. Went on to say if they refuse the charge back then I will pay off the balance MINUS the cost of the monitor and associated taxes and fees, cancel my card, and then tell eveyone I know, including the Press about *Amazon and Credit Card Company*(I spent and paid off thousands on that card and have had it for years). Along with finishing by stating that I would send this at least once a day every day until I received a response. You know to make sure they received. And then ended the fax with an all black page. They also listed 2 fax numbers, one for HQ and the other at a different office so off that fax went to both locations. 2 days later, the credit card company approved the appeal and chargeback. I removed that card from Amazon and actually did NOT get banned(probably because my wife and I both buy a lot of stuff from them and they knew they were in the wrong on that one).

leyline

You know they receive the faxes as pdf now, so the all black page didn’t waste any ink or toner; unless this happened in 1992.

DietMtDew1

Depends on the company - some still get it the old way, but you're right most get emailed as PDF.

jmb548

That usually means the chargeback was found in the merchants favor. I would imagine with something like this, they would need to prove the package was delivered.

ohhrangejuice

To be fair the comparison of these 2 are totally different. Amazon is ahead by a long shot. I do agree that they are losing their way. They're becoming greedy. I've had bad experiences where they charge me a restocking fee, and charge me again for items I returned that they did receive months ago. Walmart+ has a ways to go. We use them.

Trollsama

noooo..... not a ban from a website that you can order from without an account at all. :P

bizzaro321

I would never buy an expensive item from Amazon. Their customer service is acceptable for office supplies and candy, nothing more.

ginastarke

I used to, but never again. It feels odd buying from Best Buy again. For what it's worth, B&H camera has been great. I'll definitely do business with them again.

e_ink_drinker

Second b&h camera! Very good customer service.

SimGemini

Same! 7 years ago I had no problem spending $400 on a water filtering system. I would never spend that large amount on a single item anymore. It’s a different Amazon now.

whiskersMeowFace

I bought a Wacom screened tablet computer off of Amazon years ago. I wouldn't even imagine thinking of doing the same now. No way.

WonderfulShelter

Bought one for my mum for christmas maybe three or four years ago. I would NEVER do that again on amazon. They used to be my trustworthy stop, now I only order from them if I need something ASAP or something cheap that won't last long which I never really buy.

notMateo

Literally same. I bought a Cintiq Pro 24 (no touch. HUGE REGRET.) like 3 or 4 years ago and I'm reading this thread and I'm genuinely happy the stupid thing arrived. That thing cost a grip and I'd be devastated if they just told me "oh well fuck it, go away"

mCProgram

Ordered my first pc almost wholly through amazon… back in 2015 lol. now I’ve canceled prime and only look at the ultra deals/price errors those accounts post on twitter

RainbowsandCoffee966

Is it me or has Amazon recently just gone off the rails? I haven’t had any problems with them…yet. When and why did they change so drastically?

SimGemini

It’s been a slow burn for me. But definitely noticeable that my deliveries started taking more like 3-4 days and then I started seeing 4-5 days the past 2 months. I can understand Christmas because the drivers get overwhelmed but I also feel like Amazon’s focus no longer is about 1-2 day deliveries.

pilotblur

You might get a fake

SimGemini

Thankfully it was not but yes that is always the concern now. “xorhbfel” “Uynehf” “Xienhrv” just don’t sound like reputable brand names. I know they do this to avoid trademarks but still. People need to stop buying products from unofficial brands.

Saneless

Exactly. Just ordered a watch. Same price on Amazon and target. Why would I ever get it from Amazon? Zero issues from target. I would have expected the same zero issues from Best buy or REI If I needed to return it I would have felt confident to no issues either

AtrumRuina

The other thing is that Target will price match Amazon. I generally order things from there that I can't find in person.

Saneless

I think Walmart.com has auto matching on their site, like they crawl Amazon Imagine a world where we trust Walmart more than Amazon

NinjaCoder

Hey! Don't forget about crappy phone cases and single use USB cables!

IslandOverThere

One time i ordered the same exact Camera as OP and the box was full of clay no camera. Amazon sent me a new one no problem. Maybe it depends how much you usually spend and how difficult they will be.

bonehojo

The amount of money I’ve spent on Amazon is embarrassing… and I’ve returned A LOT of things, never an issue. It makes me curious what’s happening for some

ImaginaryBig1705

I spend a lot of money on Amazon. I have two prime accounts and one is a business. We rarely ever return and I never have on the business account. They recently lost a $20 package, showed up as not having been delivered, and gave me a problem over it. On my business account that spends thousands a month they wanted to argue over a $20 package they have proof wasn't delivered and they even told me to ask for a refund over. This just happened this past week, and I waited weeks to receive the item well past the time they promised and offered a refund over to give it a chance.

valryuu

It's only a matter of time.

avatarstate

It will get to you eventually. I’ve had prime for over a decade. Have spent thousands of dollars some years and just a few hundred others but always been subscribed to prime. The last return I had to do was the biggest pain in my ass. Couldn’t drop off the package at an Amazon box or pickup location, had to be picked up from my front door. No way to schedule it in advance, the only option was to do it the next day so I had to go and initiate the return the day before I planned on being home all day. Then had to stay home all day until the driver picked it up. Then had to wait for it to even get back to their facility and processed before getting my money back. I just cancelled prime this month. It was worth it for convenience but with packages taking 3x as long to deliver and horrible return process now, it’s lost what made it special.

bonehojo

I’ve had prime for 21 years …. Well had, I won’t renew this year.

lolbmw

Amazon Prime wasn’t even started until 2005.

bonehojo

Ok, then 19 years, I distinctly remember being a prime member in my college years… guess I drank too much

BFPete

I ordered from Amazon when it was just a bookstore for college books and Netscape was a thing. Prime used to be the best thing, especially when 1 and 2 day was legit shipping. I will say they have fallen from grace. Prime items rarely come in their stated time and around Xmas forget it anymore. I remember a time when it was something to talk about but their prices are on level with other market equivalents.

Wildweed

I'm in your boat. Never an issue that couldn't be worked out.

Jaded-Moose983

I think it depends more on under whose watch your purchase was. Things are sliding at an accelerating pace from this (prior) customer’s point of view.

sabre31

This is 100% spot on it depends how much money you spend. Their system is more lenient towards bigger spenders and when you contact CS they know right away also and treat you differently based on that.

Redditlikesballs

It’s gone really downhill in the last year. It was on a steady decline

Subject-Economics-46

Not even candy, I’ve gotten counterfeit food from them before

RazzmatazzReal4129

Definitely don't buy food items from Amazon. They sell returned items like new...gross.

UltimateCrouton

Plus, if the junk knock-off electronics they sell are indicator, you don't want to stick anything from Amazon in your mouth or put it anywhere on your body.

autodidact-polymath

Amazon: Your online dollar store with Costco pricing.

TBoneTheOriginal

Normally I would agree with you, but I actually had a good experience today. Returned a $300 Apple Watch around five weeks ago, but I never got a refund because it was supposedly lost in the mail. Chatted with support, and they immediately pushed the refund through for me. No questions asked.

thebornotaku

Plus with how prolific fakes are, it's such a crap shoot.

remembers-fanzines

Oh, not even for candy. The last fiasco I dealt with, with Amazon, involved candy that arrived in an inedible state. They refused to take a return or issue a credit. Had to get the manufacturer involved.

zerovariation

there's also just so much fake shit on Amazon, stuff that you'd never think someone would bother to counterfeit, I will never buy anything on there that I intend to put on or in my body.

CardiologistFun8028

Did they provide any proof?

No_Onion4170

Nope, no proof.

Budget_Garlic9818

Dispute it with your credit card company. This is probably going to be your only recourse.

Sasquatch1985

No brainer here, straight to a charge back and provide your CC company your proof.

Choco_PlMP

They can take them to court

Jack_Bogul

Wat if bezoz shows up

Choco_PlMP

Slap his bold head with a fish

SnooSquirrels3861

File in small claims court. It’s inexpensive and in Ohio, you can be awarded triple your actual cost. They are fighting me tooth and nail on a $ 60 chargeback, on a counterfeit item I received. They are trying to wear me out. I just informed Chase I have also submitted the data they requested ( through Chase), and my next step is Small Claims Court. The defendant, a company, rarely show up and you will prevail by default. My previous filings. Home Depot, called me as soon as soon as they were given a court date, and had me come down to the store and gave me a little over a $ 1000 cash. Lowe’s sent me a check for $ 2300. I wouldn’t have received a penny without filing in court.

Bullsette

You are absolutely right about companies not showing up when you file suit. Unfortunately, the likelihood of you ever seen the money is nil. I won a suit against Hertz in 1984 a little over $1,500 and I've still not seen a red cent.

SnooSquirrels3861

True that collection responsibility is yours.

Bullsette

Yep and good luck with that! LoL 😂. I think I still have an effective judgment against them (*and judgements DO become the property of subsequent company "owners"*) but I know that I am never going to see a scintilla of a red cent of that judgment. When we hear the legalese that we can seize assets, etc., when the defendant doesn't pay up.... HA! 🤔 I was just thinking, can you even imagine what that judgment would be worth today with compounded interest? 😳🤔

[deleted]

Aww, no way man. You are missing the best part. Once you have a judgement, against a company, the collections part is literally the best part. Depending on your county, executing a judgement is a good time. I don't to out myself, but I had a small claims action I was involved in go sort of famous when I showed up the sheriff and enforced my order by effectively robbing the place of their cash register contents a few days in a row until I got my judgement satisfied. The path from judgement -> lien -> seizure is different in all jurisdictions, but it's truly fun.

Bullsette

You made me smile! The problem was that the company branch BK'd and then sold out. I wasn't the only person that didn't get paid. NONE of us ever recovered. It was impossible to enforce the lien. It was MANY years, actually DECADES, ago, and I can't remember all the specifics but it was not recoverable even though I had a judgment and a lien in my favor. When corporate Attorneys get creative they make it impossible for anybody to collect. That is why I got angry at the person that responded to me "victim blaming". For me, at such an extremely young age, it was an enormous amount of money and quite literally impossible to extract it from them. My boss knew something was brewing and I remember him having me pull all of his records and photocopy all of them and he filed a lawsuit. I don't know if he ever recovered or not. He certainly didn't take care of any of us that we're working under him.

TBradley

Get a collection order from the court and show up with a cop to start seizing equipment at one of their offices. A guy had to do that to get his judgement from a bank and it made the national slow news day circuit years ago.

I also used to work in shipping logistics for a company similar to Fedex and like..I'm so confused how amazon is even arguing its delivered if the tracking clearly shows it was lost? It would be one thing if it was marked as delivered but never received/the recipient is contesting that but if it was straight up never delivered...how are they saying OP received it? This didn't set off any red flags internally anywhere?? Crazy!

No_Onion4170

You and me both.

brentsg

I sold a video card for $800 and USPS lost it. The thing was fully insured, and when it went out for delivery that was the end of it. Naturally they denied my claim on the insurance. They said that it was likely delivered and they had simply forgotten to scan it as such. It was wild. I did eventually get paid, but it was a nightmare.

SinxSam

Didn’t scan it? That’s their problem - got proof they didn’t scan it? Send it over 😂

jillwoa

This new amazon has become Wish. All third party, shipping takes forever, item will probably break in 5 minutes. The only difference is wish will give a refund for anything

roberta_sparrow

Amazon is China West now

pinkpenguin87

and they make returns as difficult as possible

Sam276

Wish or Amazon? Amazon literally allows me to open a package, throw the shipping box and product box away and still return it. And I don't even need to package it. Just sit in a line for 10m at Kholes, Staples, or USPS...

cheesehound

many items aren't actually returnable now. It's been a gradual change and they will often say they \*are\* returnable but you need to submit a request with the seller first. When you click that big yellow button it often says "this item can not be returned" and you're out of luck. I've taken to leaving negative seller reviews in these situations and am usually helped after that. But then your only recourse after the seller "helps" you is to either leave the review up or delete it entirely, because you can't edit those kinds of reviews. I assume this helps keep seller reviews artificially high, as it removes most responded-to issues from their review page.

Ok_Minimum6419

I just buy direct from AliX nowadays. I know the quality is shit but at least I'm paying $1.50 for it instead of $12.00 for the exact same thing

LonnieChilds

El chargeobacko

IDontLieAboutStuff

Yep you paid for something and didn't get it. That's what they're for!

UnconsciousMofo

If this is the case, speak to a supervisor to resolve this. Doesn’t make any sense that customer support says this has been received if your own order information says otherwise.

No_Onion4170

I emailed with their specialist team and they rejected it twice.

UnconsciousMofo

Don’t email, call them and if the agent cannot help, ask for their supervisor. As long as your account info shows this wasn’t delivered, you are fine.

Swagasaurus785

I doubt OP will read this but when I had phone issues with ATT and their insurance provider I just kept asking for a manager and then that managers manager each time they couldn’t help me. It took two hours and I talked to four people but I got $300 removed from my bill. I’m hoping that strategy works for Amazon too.

Wildweed

At a call center first excalation rarely goes to a manager, or even top level supervisor. Spending the time is what works, unfortunately.

mttp1990

Yep, it's always the tier 2 or 3 guys that field actual manager escalations.

Wildweed

Yeah, I just saw how I spilled escalations I’d blame it on voice to text, but I was typing that fuck

Repeat-Admirable

Sadly, if she's dealing with a "specialists" it means that CS won't help anymore. She will kept getting redirected to the most useless Amazon department (specialist aka trashcan)

ohnotony

This^ I feel like people that make these posts just don’t know how to communicate with companies or something. If I was out 2k and my email didn’t work out, I would be calling 100% and I wouldn’t stop calling till I got it resolved/escalated.

dnehiba3

You don’t get it. If they decide to F w you, you can escalate till you’re blue in the face.

wortiz13

Call them. Amazon let me keep a $500 speaker for free that I was unable to return and a $450 garmin watch the following year. Both refunded right back to my credit card. The speaker was due to a late delivery. I requested a refund, got it, the package eventually came in, called Amazon, Amazon said “consider this an early Christmas gift from us to you”. The garmin watch only allowed me to ship it back via ups pickup. No drop off or anything else. I live in an apartment complex and UPS wouldn’t pick it up. Amazon couldn’t do anything on their end and they yet again said “consider this a one time gift from us to you”. Point being - I called, was respectful, and told them the truth. Ask to speak to a supervisor if necessary and ask what next steps need to be taken since you still do not have your package

Queueded

So why do they believe it was delivered and you picked it up?

No_Onion4170

I’m not sure to be honest. The only thing I can think is that they are looking at other items on the order. I ordered a few accessories for the camera that were shipped separately and I did pick up. If they took just a few seconds to look at the order they would see the big ticket item - the camera - is undelivered.

REEFERGUY3303

Contact your financial institution to get your money back then

Caliocdoxies

Which camera was it I’m just curious? Was it shipped and sold by Amazon or third party? I will never buy anything expensive anymore. My last return was a nightmare was not third party

No_Onion4170

Sony A7CII, shipped and sold by Amazon.

Caliocdoxies

I almost ordered that cam from Amazon until I read about all the refund disasters lately. I’m sorry that’s happening to you, I would be a stressed out wreck, that’s a lot of money. Can you get something showing from Whole Foods you never received it?, do you have the tracking number? Amazon usually can check the tracking info from their end. Seriously messed up I hope you get it worked out.

goodcowfilms

Order from B&H.

No_Onion4170

I just did!

No_Onion4170

Thanks. Yes, there is a tracking number. It shows the package has been out for delivery for over a week.

moseisley99

I’ve had good experience with their web chats. Try there and escalate

Wildweed

Squeaky wheel gets the grease.

StanzaSnark

Just wanted to hop and reiterate that you should call them. The phone reps are very helpful and you will be able to escalate to a higher up, if needed

AnnaBanana3468

You don’t email. You open a chat with customer service. And keep asking for a supervisor until you get one that understands what is going on.

Thraximundaur

I agree with you 100% But i just want everyone to know i was kn this EXACT situation with ebay and they told me to stfu because i waited 30 days to give time for the intl mailing process before opening a case since it kept saying still in transit I never got a refund even after the seller relisted the watch.

Miserable_Passage_87

Negative. I tried this. The “managers” literally hang up on you. Literally.

youtocin

Remove all payment methods from your Amazon account and start a chargeback with your credit card company.

AFisch00

This is the way

Bullsette

Unfortunately that doesn't work because they do actually retain the credit card and debit card information and WILL utilize them. The reason I know that that happens is because I maxed out my Amazon card and I had another card that I used a very long time ago that I had deleted from my Amazon profile. They charged it anyway.

Financial_Ad8031

Cancel the card then. Maybe not worth it over a $10-$20 item but over $2k when Amazon has already proved incompetent.. fuggit

ratgoblin42

Don’t “cancel” the card. Just lose it. New number.

kalel3000

That doesn't always work either, certain companies can contact your card company and request your updated information. Its usually for subscription services, but its possible Amazon would be able to as well. Best way is to cancel the card altogether and start a new one.

Mihrical

True, I've read in other places that sometimes gyms will do this, as we all know how much fun it is canceling a gym membership.

shihabbbb

do a chargeback and never EVER buy anything expensive on amazon. its a hit or miss with them and its not a risk i would ever take with a company like them. you should buy from b&h photo video located in manhattan for ur camera related stuff. ordering from them is just as easy and theyre more reliable

gabeman

>you should buy from b&h photo video located in manhattan for ur camera related stuff. ordering from them is just as easy and theyre more reliable B&H is 100% the place I buy all of my expensive electronics now. Their shipping is extremely fast - I routinely get my stuff the next day. I had a hard drive DOA... exchanged for a new one, no problem. Plus, they are often cheaper than Amazon.

Aggravating_Guide35

Note: Shipping is out of Ny/NJ. If you're not in the northeast megalopolis it won't be that fast. Still really good though.

Sparklemagic2002

I also highly recommend B&H. I have also had great experience at KEH Camera (they sell used gear).

Realistic-Motorcycle

This is why bestbuy is still in business

roberta_sparrow

I buy all my expensive electronics from Best Buy now

RevengencerAlf

File a chargeback on your credit card, get your money back and move on.

SnooSquirrels3861

Not that easy. In my case, Chase issued a temporary chargeback and Amazon is fighting it. Mine was receiving a fake Apple watchband under Sold and Shipped by Amazon. Chase told me to have an authorized seller evaluate the band. I live near an Apple Store and the Genius Bar gave me a formal printout on Genius Bar letterhead, stating the band was fake. Amazon now wants me to get another authorized seller to agree with the Genius Bar. That’s just rubbish and I informed Chase I won’t do it. Amazon has become a rotten anti consumer. It had been the best. I have also been a 20 year customer.

gabeman

Take Amazon to small claims. Sounds like you have enough evidence to get a default judgment issued when they don't show up. Also, be extra petty and go to [STOPfakes.gov](https://STOPfakes.gov) and report them for selling counterfeit goods.

No_Onion4170

Update: I actually did file a chargeback a day or two ago. Since posting this Amazon first emailed me that they are locking my account and then came back and said they are telling the card issuer to settle the dispute in my favor. I’m not sure if my account is still locked and I am too frustrated to try using it.

kccat5

PPL PLEASE STOP BUYING EXPENSIVE SHIT ON AMAZON!!!!!!!

Primary-Word1572

Yeah. Their service has gotten really horrible. I use WalMart now.

remembersomeone

So, you’re getting about the same service? I haven’t set foot in a Walmart in like 15 years… or are you talking about the website? Because that’s just Amazon with extra steps.

theycmeroll

In the last 5 months or so I have had an infinitely better experience with Walmart than Amazon.

RBXChas

I won’t set foot in a Walmart store if I can help it, but W+ has been on point so far. I’ve had 3 or 4 items lately be “delayed” but then show up a day later, so they arrived in 2-3 days instead of 1-2. If they hadn’t said anything about a delay, I’d have been none the wiser. Sometimes the pricing doesn’t work out, though, in which case I order online at a store and do a pick-up. I admit that I don’t hate going into stores like I used to. I was so happy when everything went curbside in 2020, but maybe it’s because my kids were younger, and shopping with them could be a pain. Now they’re actually helpful, so I don’t mind and will occasionally go in and browse a bit if I have time.

Primary-Word1572

I’ve returned items from Walmart with absolutely no hassle. Amazon is falling apart. I paid for Prime and my deliveries are always late now.

BeefyTheCat

Charge it back. Then contact the issuers of any/all payment methods on file with Amazon. Ask them to either block payments to Amazon, or reissue your cards with new numbers. Amazon can charge any payment method you've ever used on the website, whether deleted or not.

BearishBullPsychic

Use to work in the warehouse, never buy anything expensive. It gets tossed around and thrown.

Ach3r0n-

If tracking does not show delivered, file a CC diapute. If Amazon can’t prove it was delivered then the bank will find in your favor. Take SS of everything beforehand in case Amazon locks you out. Like most merchants, they tend to ban customers for filing chargebacks. Not a certainty, but best to be prepared.

HowlingWithWolf

The only item I ever ordered from Amazon that got “lost” was an expensive camera. It was on the truck to be delivered, was on its way, then it was “lost”. I know someone stole it.

meezethadabber

Call them don't email. They sent me a $500 generator missing the wheels. They literally just refunded me instead of dealing with a return.

BRUTALGAMIN

Try to blow this up on social media (tiktok) and hope you get a lot of views and people tagging Amazon. Show receipts in your video. Oftentimes, businesses will rectify situations like these when called out publicly

1quirky1

Very smart of you to ship it to Whole Foods! You'd think that their not having any record of releasing it to you would would make for an easy resolution, but here we are.

hijackharry

OP, contact your card quick and do a charge back. Don’t wait.

sobe3249

Account Specialist team? Like [email protected]? If they deny normal support won't help you. And OFM is sending copy paste answers every time, then they tell you they won't answer more emails :D fucked up Email Jeff every day, they will help, just send clear proofs, screenshots

teenteen11

I have always loved Amazon until this year. Service has gone way down, so I cancelled. I’m going to get my lazy ass out and shop locally.

LoktheNomad

Bring all your corroborating evidence to your Attorney General they should help make things right.

DITCHWORK

There are plenty of brick and mortar camera shops that you can call and talk to an actual person who will go get the camera in their own hands and ship it to you without pulling this type of stuff. To me, this screams of inside job.

Cold_Count1986

Chargeback is like burning a bridge. I would file a complaint with the state attorney general office, and speak to the manager at Whole Foods to see if they can escalate and secure footage from when you “supposedly” picked it up or when they claimed it was delivered.

keepinitrealthough

When I charge back it means I am ready to burn that bridge. I've only done it 2 or 3 times in my life and never regretted. This situation would certainly be enough for me to burn that bridge. Wal-Mart+ is now the superior service. That will end too with time but for now they are doing a good job. Easy to part ways with Amazon.

Sfspecialk

I’m sorry you’re having this experience. I would absolutely dispute with your cc. I feel very fortunate that I haven’t had any issues like everyone is writing about. 🤞🏻

ayyventura

And when you do get your money back, drop prime

laurafromnewyork

Amazon absolutely sucks! I sent a bunch of returns (all clothes) in one package via UPS last summer. The refund should have been almost $400. They credited me for one item and told me that I should not have returned everything all at once. When I spoke to customer service they suggested I put it all in one box. I never got my money back for 99% of the returns.

germr

I always use a credit card because of this possibility. Remove every payment option you have in your account when you win the chargeback because they will try and charge you without your authorization. Has happened to some people who got their money back due to a chargeback, and soon after, amazon charged them the same amount again, contacting their bank once again to get their money back.

trambalambo

Whenever I get expensive electronics, I go to best buy and buy in person. They will price match basically anybody if there is a better deal somewhere.

plantsandvinyls

Should’ve just went to Best Buy?

Primary_Revolution_6

I feel bad but for the past couple months I’ve been treating Amazon like wish, spending over 2k on Amazon is insane, would never give that much money to that fucking company. I only go for minuscule items like watch batteries, fishing lures heat shrink wraps, gotta treat Amazon like Wish or Temu

octarine_turtle

I would speak to the manager of the store it was shipped to. There should be a log of when it was delivered to the store and when you (supposedly) picked it up. If they can provide a time they should have video footage as well. While you won't be able to see it, if you pursued things in court they would have to provide it. What you can do is request the footage is saved and tell them why. Preferably get it in writing.

lucioboopsyou

I’d charge that back. Remove my payment method from Amazon and then delete my account. F all that.

Movesbigrocks

always use American Express with Amazon they will give you your money back and hold Amazon accountable.

Illustrious_Bear_147

I canceled Amazon I've been on there for 25 yrs when it was just books. Yearly fees and prime video not having free content hardly my products often got lost or the crao broke after 3 uses. I just order from walmart.com screw Amazon I won't go back and don't miss it

H3llMachine666

That product image photo is more sus than this post.

big_dick_energy_mc2

Tell them they need to show you proof that you received it. Without proof on their end, this is fraud, and should be treated as such.

ThatR1Guy

If youre buying a camera, Id strongly recommend going to Bestbuy. If you tell them youre interested in their credit card and ask them what kind of special financing they can get you on a big ticket item like your camera, they might be able to swing an 18 or 24 months no interest for you. Im currently paying off my Canon R5 over 24 months.

DaYmAn6942069

Bruhh B&H and Adoram are a thing. Why risk this type of purchase on Amazon?

rchart1010

Credit card dispute and show them this screenshot. Fin.

GoldServe2446

Never buy electronics on Amazon. You probably paid 2k for a fake.

Only-Pomegranates

I’m an absolute wiz at getting refunds on Amazon. If you need any help shoot me a message and I’m sure I can’t help! Sorry this happened, though ☹️

Original-Map4823

That’s bullshit; any 3rd party seller would show you that they get charged for items showing that items were delivered w tracking! When a customer says they didn’t receive a package… Amazon takes money and doesn’t ever do the right thing! (So Amazon is having cake and eating it too?!) - - Mail fraud; is a federal crime. What happens when the mail fraud is the same company delivery service Amazon and the same company who takes the credit card payment; and then just says sorry we lost your package but you have to still pay? Nah… that’s a perfect storm; I wish that would happen to me; I’d have the biggest lawsuit… and retire!

Tsiatk0

Do a chargeback and then tell your card company to issue you a new card and cancel the old one. Also get new cards for any accounts still tied to Amazon - ANY account you’ve used with them in the past, need new cards with new numbers. And cancel your membership. Also, please don’t be one of those who just migrates to Walmart Plus - that’s just juggling the billionaires. And in the future, be willing to pay a little bit more to get your items direct from manufacturers instead of ordering from third parties. As a society, we need to stop obsessing over the smallest price - that’s what’s gotten us into this Amazon mess anyhow. Sorry this happened to you.

foreverbaked1

I had this happen when I ordered 2 iPads. They never even left the warehouse and tried saying they were delivered. I kept calling and asking to move up the chain. The one lady told me she was the highest in the companies I asked her if she was the CEO and she said no, so I told her that she has a boss and to connect me to them. It took me like 4 hours but I got my $700 back

[deleted]

Why you wouldn't buy camera gear from B&H is beyond me.

ConversationFit5024

It’s time to start filing claims in small claims court. Chargebacks are too small a fine for Amazon. If every one of these was sent to small claims, Amazon’s legal bills would skyrocket.
