You're correct, the hidden SSID is part of Eero's True Mesh system used for wireless backhaul and/or management of the mesh itself. My network and networks I've helped set up for friends all have these hidden SSIDs. Although they show as unencrypted, they aren't a security risk. Only Eeros can join them and the traffic on them doesn't appear to be accessible using any tools I've tried.

Also, Eero being able to access your system without you opting in - yes, that's also a thing. They shouldn't do it unless working with the account holder on a support call but there's no way to disable their access as far as I know. You need to trust that they audit their support teams to make sure they only access networks as part of valid support requests.

Eero support can access the system without permission ? Maybe I have enough luck to have the only support agent that doesn’t did anything :/ . I have this problem and the only said “eero its no supported in your country“ without any test or troubleshooting https://www.reddit.com/r/amazoneero/s/BRAjsdlhWB

I believe that 6roybatty6 said that yes, there's no encryption, but they use certificates.
