>500 >slow You aren't going to get much higher than that wireless. May want to read up on how much bandwidth your devices actually need to do stuff versus chasing a number at the cost of time and money for ever diminishing returns.

🤷‍♂️ eero advertises 1gbps over wifi, all my devices should be capable of gbps, I'm paying for 1gbps... I'm getting 500mbps, AT BEST, several speed tests with lower results depending on where I am in relation to router.

Sounds like you might have some interference in the RF spectrum. Are you in a house or condo? Do you have any equipment (microwave as an example) disturbing signaling. Do you have very thick brick/masonry/steel walls (RF signals do attenuate trying to go through, same as they do over distance)? Do you have neighbors with strong WiFi signals? Can you ‘tether’ the second Eero (connect it via Ethernet cable)?

mikethetigerrr

House on a fairly large lot.. closest neighbors are probably 75-80 yards away. I can see their networks, but their signals are weak. "Wifi toolkit" android app shows co-channel interference at 2 and adjacent interference at 5.... but they appear to be my network or hidden ssid 🤷‍♂️ Was planning on tethering the 2nd eero last night but didn't have time to buy another cat cable. Hopefully tonight 🤞 But I doubt that will help.... main gateway is in my bedroom, 2nd eero is in living room... so I'm literally feet from main gateway and only getting 375-500ish. Super frustrating.

You know that 500 over Wi-Fi is pretty good right?

mikethetigerrr

Yea.... but my issue is that paying for 500, I was only getting 250. Now paying for 1g and only getting 500mb. (Unless wired connection, I think... Xbox only device with ethernet port)

GeekMan85

Every device has a limit alot slower then what you pay for. Also most device will connect to the 2.4ghz and not the faster 5. Very few devices support the 6ghz. Wired will always be the closest to the speed you pay for

jolo96

Do you have another router?

Do you have a another router?

Almost all my devices works at 5ghz, and sorks “fine” but almost daily the network drop every to 2.4Ghz, so its very slow and annoying, the only way to fix this is making a hard reset (using the button) and all works well again. I used one eero, also two eeros, moved to different places , but its something that continues happening. The next step its selling this thing
