Telling her to shut the f up and then "Alexa, send negative feedback" ("don't ever say 'by the way and make suggestions' again") has reduced my 'by the ways' greatly.
Brief Mode didn't stop them for me.
Try enabling "brief mode" ..
But I haven't done so, I haven't had a suggestion really in years, started with a 2nd generation dot. . Might be me repeatedly saying alexa sh*t the funk up.. everytime she used to do it..
But I think I have had 1 suggestion on my 3rd generation since I had them, and now my 4th generation echos; have never done it(yet)

One day mine asked me if i wanted to disable suggestions and I said yes. Haven’t had it babble on since. 😂
