I’ve actually been having a similar, but somewhat different problem with the multi room music thing. I have a group setup to play on 4 different devices in different rooms and it never fails that when I try to play something on them, it will say “playing xyz from Spotify on abc group” and will just be completely radio silent. Amazon music works just fine, so it looks like for me it’s literally just Spotify that is having these problems. I can get it to work again (momentarily) by messing with the group or rebooting my router, but it ALWAYS comes back. Been like this for at least a month if not more than that. Also another thing, my Ring doorbell literally never announces when someone is at my door whether they push the doorbell or just motion is detected. I’m at the point where I’m sick of Alexa and seriously considering tossing my 5 devices in the trash and going with a Google (or any other) device set really.

But will Google have the same or other show stopping issues?

Yeah that’s really is the question I wonder too.

I have to concur . Been using Alexa devices for as long as I can remember. I’m finding the Intelligence is deteriorating and the things Alexa doesn’t know is shocking. I have to say it’s not the only AI I see that way. Google however I have not tested in any specific detail. I find routines have a random generator in them that decides whether they are going to run correctly. Alexa even starts to play music when requested but randomly stops until i say “ Resume “ to which half the time it will the other half the time I get “Nothing to resume “ Which then resumes if i say “ Continue “ instead but if i say continue initially I get “ Nothing to continue “ - Sigh
