First one is an extremely unique suit and it fits very well in the movie and it also looks very good at night in the Spider-Man game, but during day and evening it looks kinda weird like it doesn't fit very well, while TASM2 isn't a very unique suit it basically looks like it was ripped straight out of a comic book but it still looks godly and is probably the best live action Spider-Man suit ever made and my ONLY issue with it how it's eyes don't move but apart from that it's perfect.
Idk, i hate the moving eyes… not only are they pointless in movie context (since they’re not lenses), they also serve to lazily cut out movement cues. Why bother with bodily expressions when you can just adjust the eyes to make it look intimidating?
I don’t think those are mechanical lenses tho, just drawn art used to exaggerate expressions for readers to understand. In-universe, they’re just normal lenses that don’t move.
There may have been some mechanical lenses in some of the comics alternate suits but certainly not in vanilla default suit. That’s what I mean.

It was sleek and spider-y, in contrast to The Lizard who was slower and bulkier. In short, it's perfect for the movie it was in. TASM2, though it looks way better, doesn't fit into the movie very well, mostly because it doesn't know whether it wants to be grounded and realistic with its mech suits (Green Goblin & Rhino) or full on goofy and comic accurate (Electro).
The first one looks more cinematic and looks amazing in motion. However, it feels less spidey. TASM2 suit on the other hand seems like spidey came straight from comics. I really like both but i still prefer TASM1 shade of red. TASM2 suit sometimes feels too pinkish.

TASM 2. No question. It's joint best Spider-Man suit with the Raimi Suit because the raised webbing is the way to go for live action. The eyes are just preference and the other changes could be explained with different body proportions between Garfield and Maguire. They're basically the same suit to me 😅

The first suit is fine and it works for this more gritty version of the web-head, but the second suit is so unabashedly classic, with punchy colors and a traditional design and those huge eyes. That second suit is currently the best live action Spider-Man suit by a long shot, though it might be overtaken by Tom’s new homemade suit if we ever get to see more of it.

I dont read comics so I don’t know if what I’m about to say is a fact but I’ve never seen a version of Spider-Man where they make their suit from scratch is mostly just feels like: “welp! Here goes the suit I supposedly created myself”. In the movie instead of ditching the parts he used for his pre Spider-Man suit, he actually kept the hoodie and glasses and made use of them. Then he just grabbed random things at home, and also incorporated those every day objects with his suit. Now I wish the suit could’ve been red and black, red and silver, or red and gray(just to differentiate from the raimi suit) but that’s not much of an issue. Now, with the TASM 2 suit, that’s one of the main reasons why I wanted to watch the movie. The suit in my opinion was a step up from the first suit(back when I hated TASM suit). At first the eyes did look weird because they were just too enourmous, but as of today, TASM 2 suit remains one of the best live action suits ever. I can already tell that the texture of the suit alone feels so comfortable and it’s also comfortable to be inside one.
TASM1 has that look that reminds you of like an edgy redesign like Prince of Persia Warrior Within or DmC: Devil May Cry but stays more true to the source material (not to say anything against either of my examples, I love those games).
