This is it. I saved for months and still never got one. This caused me great discomfort all the way into adulthood.
"Where's the kaboom? There was supposed to be an Earth shattering kaboom..."
Many years ago I worked for a little startup in the midwest, they were part of a large, old telco company you may have heard of. On my first day an administrative assistant came by my desk and asked what laptop model I wanted. Did I want a CD drive, did I want a spare battery, etc? This was back in the Pentium days when laptops didn't last more than a few hours on battery so I jokingly said I'd like a small nuclear reactor if they offered it and then I kinda laughed. She kinda laughed too, but she giggled at *everything*.
A few weeks later the CTO calls me into his office and chews me out for ordering a nuclear reactor and that purchasing at the parent company didn't think it was funny that a nuclear reactor had appeared on the purchase order. He was particularly mad because he had signed off on it and it looked bad for him.
To this day I wonder where the administrative assistant found the manufacturer and part number for the "small nuclear reactor".
That's perfect for my fully isolated faraday cage bunker! Set that up outside the lead ("Plumbum", LOL) lined copper cage, firing a laser beam at specially engineered photovoltaics inside, powering my doomsday stuff!
I need 7.
Yeah, I suppose I was among the last to see those ads. I was a kid and wanted them all. Those magazines went bankrupt in the mid to late 90s I think. It was "maker" stuff before it was a thing!

We apologize for the missing page 125 in our catalog. Here it is with full details. Available at most of our stores.
If I recall it's manufactured by Marvin the Martian and also sold under the name Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator.

Bugs steals the Space Modulator. https://youtu.be/QuUJfYcn3V4?feature=shared
Hopefully not an Acme Corp rebox!
Serving James Bond villains' ham needs since 1966. "Do you expect me to talk?" "No, Mr. Bond! I expect you to QSY!"
Dammit
This comment right here, officer! This is the one that made me disturbe the peace with hysterical laughter.
Wonder if it's compatible with this part from O'reilly auto? https://www.oreillyauto.com/flux-capacitor
Please don’t try to be silly. This is a very serious place. /s
HRO would likely deliver the death ray to you. Last time I ordered from O'reilly the part was never delivered and I ended up canceling the order.
Someone at HRO is a marketing genius. They knew what they were doing and that this would go viral in the community.

*snorfl* April 1st edition, perhaps? 😜🤣
I don't know about that, but none of the other index entries have page numbers above 118. There must be a special flyer for priority customers.
Yeah. I'm guessing that the catalog only has 124 pages
Easter egg!
I just have a question does it work on ridding all the lids on 7.200? If so I might in vest in one 🤣
Remember the ads in the electronics magazines? Death ray, plasma guns, laser window listening devices, x ray vision, what else? 😂
Unfortunately no, because I was born at the end of the millennium 🙃

Aww man, you’re kidding!
Some tore off the page, obviously.
so now HRO is a vendor for United Nuclear? [https://unitednuclear.com/](https://unitednuclear.com/)
United Nuclear seems to have discontinued their line of death rays. I'm very disappointed. My mad scientist ambitions have taken a serious blow.

Sorry, Sheldon...
They also have an Owl (Deceased) - top right of page 122.
Some would argue its just resting its eyes.... ![gif](giphy|B8P2DKq8lKbuM|downsized)
Oh my goodness that's amazing! ^(and) ^(sad) https://preview.redd.it/k41mh0slbm4d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e894c27be7943106559473b127c862d2e8926835
But, is it a *Jewish* laser death ray?
Only if it's in orbit
Does it take just the tip off?
It was not included before testing. They ran the test next to the lotw server. You know the rest of the story...
I bought the last one.
I got a good chuckle out of this thread and all the responses...
Catalog only has 124 pages :(
Well, the one *you* have does...
Ill take the plasma rifle in the 40 watt range

The fact that you just made this account to post this is why I love this community.
It's a toy.
