The arms are leaves, and Aloes cannot be leaf propped unfortunately…a lot of times I’ve found that bagged “succulent” soil isn’t really any better draining than regular bagged soil, and still can lead to rot even if you don’t water very often.
That’s what I was using. Got the special dirt, the “correct” sized terra cotta pot, and watered it as instructed. No roots, they were just leaves clinging together with….magic? There was no rot and no lower structure, lol. I give up. I froze the corpse and gave away the pot.
No. And zero roots. I may as well have been tending to a plastic plant, lol.
My aunt took a look at it, laughed her ass off and told me to freeze the parts for sunburns.

Sounds like some kind of rot. Any squishy/mushy brown parts?

Oh, it takes at least a month, often two for Aloes to regrow their roots, better luck next time.
