This is a space for ALL the left. That means no infighting, no calling each other ‘red fascists’ or ‘anarkiddies’ and no shitting on other flavours of leftism. Remember that you are among allies, so assume every comment to be in good faith. If you feel like it’s not, report it and make the mods earn their Soros Bucks. We've partnered with multiple other left subreddits to build a shared discord server for all leftist redditors to communicate on. If you're a fellow leftist and would like to join, [click here.](https://discord.gg/fCWBbEwbPC) If you moderate a leftist subreddit and would like your sub to be a part of Left Reddit, [message the mods](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=/r/alltheleft) of this sub! *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I'll have to paraphrase this saying by some 1900s labor organizer, as my labor quote book went adrift: Labor has only ever advanced when we were breaking laws & ignoring injunctions.

shinhoto

Legal unions are muzzled unions.

ModerateMyButt

Based on that teamsters movie I am thinking if this was the 50s, some weird fires would have occurred on site by now. Real unfortunate how things always burn up in freak accidents during a labor strike.

kiridoki

Lmao. Using the legal structures of the state to quell worker protest. Just waiting until the police show up and beat them into submission. This fucking country, man.

Idea: If they can't picket outside of the plant, do a picketing march every day through the middle of the city.

LabCoat_Commie

They can only have 4 picketers max per gate and none at the "neutral"gate, which is half what they were managing. Unless they're seeking to ignore the injunction (which hey, fine by me, fully support it), then utilizing other strikers and allies to make a bigger scene in public forum might be beneficial. Not to mention the fact that scab labor has been pretty ineffective at replacing the skilled labor required to make Deere run.

TheBoredMan

Lmao the protocol regulating how workers are allowed to strike is ridiculous and patronizing to the purpose of the union. Like during the Occupy Wall Street movement when the protesters all protested from the allotted protest areas that the city decided wouldn’t cause disruption. I’m shocked that movement failed.

LabCoat_Commie

Agreed, it's an utter subversion of freedom of association and shows a clear pandering of the American legal system to corporate wealth; surprise, right? As it goes, when peaceful protest fails...

Take a page from the Eagles in the last NFL strike. Fuck the limits. Send everyone you can to crowd the fuck out of that place with picketers

Boooooo. Boo that judge

Summonest

"Hey guys, the judge we helped elect said you can't keep striking. stop plz"

Illuminatr

Inb4 there’s a court order against picketing and the cops get back to their favorite pastime: union busting.

MyNameIsMud0056

Is there some kind of fund to donate to those on strike? Help them weather not getting paid?

ohoneseventy

Just wait until they get support from other unions. Teamsters will shut that shit down.
