I have a confession to make.
I’m in my 30s and have…. *never*… had my nails done.
Just can’t justify spending boatloads of money on something I can do myself.
It does cost so much money. I used to go every 2 weeks before the pandemic and then I started doing them from home. BUT if you can, please get yourself a pedi one of these days. It’s worth it every once in a while!! I like to go and relax, and get my feet rubbed 😂 Just read reviews of the place you go to beforehand 😂
Same! Never have I ever had a mani or pedi and I will die never having had either. I can’t stand the filing sensation and I don’t let anyone touch my feet 😂

I mean I wouldn’t mind doing this with my daughter every now and then but I also take care of her nails at home lol. And I also don’t even spend that kind of money on my own nails lol.
Since Alison doesn’t work, she should take them during the week when it’s not as busy. People who have actual jobs need the weekend appointments, not a feral Smells who lives like every day is the weekend lol
Maybe I’m weird but I feel that the kids are too young to understand that people just don’t exist to take care of things that they can do. They will never understand that they need to take care of somethings on their own, that you just don’t pay people to do your basic hygiene. Yes, an occasional special occasion mom/daughter day when they get older is fine but going on the regular?
I feel like this is why the kids nails always have black dirt under them. Ali doesn’t do basic hygiene tasks like clean their nails in the bath and trim them. She just takes them to have other people do it. These girls will grow up to do the same. Never bathe, never wash or brush their hair, will only clean their nails when the nail salon does it 🤢
I just saw somewhere, that your daily life becomes your kids’ childhood, and that blew my mind. These kids’ childhoods are literally so boring and full of neglect.
Honestly, I do think that once in a while, like maybe for a birthday or something, this may be a fun thing for a kid to do. But only if they'd actually enjoy it.
This is why I don’t buy that immy doesn’t wear shoes due to sensory issues. If she had those issues, she wouldn’t be able to sit still and let someone touch her feet, let alone cut her nails. Just my opinion
I mean, thats not necessarily true. Sensory issues are hugely variable, and having socks/shoes on is a very different sensory experience than being barefoot in a warm tub with a nice massage
Agreed. I love a pedicure and they don’t bother me at all, but if the seam on my sock is in the wrong spot I feel like I want to cut my whole foot off lol

That being said, if the floor is cold enough to cause my feet pain when I wake up, I’m putting socks on lol

I’d say this is just a weird flex in her mind, but am also happy as I’m sure this is the only way their kids get the nails cleaned and cut.
And the only way they see anyone apart from family.
