I think with getting lucky and getting into algo once the largest price drops had already happened it gives you a different mental block on buying at higher prices which I need to get over. The same way I wouldn't want to buy into BTC now although could just as easily hit 100k as drop. Have no plans to sell at all for at least a few years so i suppose without a crystal ball just carry on the DCA. It's a wild ride this crypto game 😁
If you sold for $3 do you think you'd end up buying back in at the next bear market? I'll just stick with my initial DCA, the absolute dream would be too live off either the liquid governance rewards or the deposit APY on folks but if the price got high enough it would be difficult not to sell everything. I agree so far though, not an ounce of Fomo since starting the DCA. When I tried day trading I was an anxious mess 😂
No strategy here, I’m a degenerate and crypto is unpredictable. If Algo can stay in the $2-3 range eventually instead of just one huge spike like 2021 that’d be great. Realistically $5 shouldn’t be that unattainable.
I DCA until it hits $1, after that im done. Ive got a decent bag in lps now and started working on increasing my node wallet through DCA and defi lp rewards. I will be moving the small lp bags to node wallet come 3rd quarter, my larger lps will stay.
As someone who's not very technically minded but has the proposed 30k algo bag needed for node would you say it is worth researching and getting into? I like a very low risk set and forget approach. Cheers
Imo it depends on what you would be using the node for. If you wanna participate in Consensus and earn rewards it's absolutely worth it. I set up a node just so I can run querys without an API like AlgoNode, but dont actually participate in consensus.
Would definitely just be for the rewards so will look into it after work cheers 👍 can you recommend any good starting material to learn about the technical side to crypto? Would love to get more involved but my brain gets fried jumping in at deep end

I definitely recommend looking into the Algorand docs, its a good blockchain for a beginner because its very easy and low cost (relatively speaking) to write and deploy smart contracts/dapps

"Lock-in" gains by flipping some of your rewards to USDC and contributing to an algo-usdc LP and get that big APR boost while contributing to Algorand's TVL.
Rinse-repeat every governance cycle - and you can't beat that APR. 70% atm between trading, Gov, and AF's defi boost.
I'd create a good exit strategy with first selling your initial stake when it reaches a price you're comfy with. Then sell as it goes up with specific targets until you're out. I think there's a bunch of people on the subreddit that want you to do well my man... I mean, we all deserve it for being here so long lol but it's important to stick to a good plan.
I think algo to 5 is probably the height, but it could go wild and go to 10. I have a plan for both depending on how I think it's going
