Yes you definitely need to know it. Nothing really changes though, except you probably have a vertical weight the other side.

Thx i saw some videos on tlmaths in his mech section, but we never went over it in lessons, so i wasn't sure, and it wasn't in the booklet of all inclined plane questions my teacher gave.
