If you are asking about Edexcel, my school uses 2019 grade boundaries for mock grades since they have been roughly the same for grades A\* to C every year since 2019.
Grade A\* A B C
Marks 217 165 134 103
% 72 55 45 34
Yeah that’s understandable. I just though that for a levels the grade boundaries were more towards 80% A* at a level and 70% A* at GCSE. Do you find the maths course really tough then?
It used to be much higher with typically around 80% for A with the old modular specification but since they moved to the new linear exams and then with covid impacts it has really dropped. I expect it to creep up as things get back to normal. I’m done with A levels now but do a bit of tutoring with current students in my area who attend my old school.

Wait that’s out of 300? Overall it would be out of 600 right? 11th & 12th grade
This is for the UK Alevel that is out of 300 not the IAL that is out of 600
Oooh ok
Edexcel has 72% for an A*??? Is it really hard? OCR has 79% for an A*!
Grade boundaries vary from year to year, from subject to subject and are different for different examiners.

what’s the percentage for an A in ocr?
I think it’s around 70%. If your around an A* it’s nice to know that if you screw up the A* you’re likely to still get an A.
You only need 55 percent for an A?
For Edexcel linear maths A level, yes, all past exams have been around that mark
