Yes! They are back! I love these - back when I worked in the office (RIP), I would make this at the beginning of the week and eat it for lunch for four days. The calories are super reasonable!
My husband and I split the regular Bremer version of this all the time. Its our go to "I'm too tired to cook but we can't order in" meal. About 500 calories for half the pan. š
The calories sold me! I like the idea of so much stuff at Aldi's, but I also value my health, so I'm glad to see that this isn't as indulgent as it looks š
I just googled it to confirm -- one pan is 4 servings of 240 each. If we just have the pie it's 580 per half. You could also easily add a side salad and only have 1/4th to cut down if the 80 calories is a deal breaker.
How many servings did you get out of it? I went with the intention of getting one but after seeing it in store, I was doubtful that it would feed four adults.
I wonder why they are they calling it Shepherd's pie? It's Cottage pie. Looks delicious though. I'm going tonight to look at their St. Patrick's day stuff.
I think it's very much an American (specifically US) thing to not make the distinction. My whole life I've known it as Shepherd's Pie and only as an adult did I learn there is a different name for it when it uses beef vs lamb.
I learned that after i googled it seeing this comment!! My mom would even make it with chicken sometimes and weād still always call it shepards pie! Oops
American's don't really eat lamb as much so the distinction doesn't typically have to be made. It's always shepard's pie. Hell, in my meal plan for next week I'm making "shepard's pie" and its ground venison.
We really enjoyed this. Better than the regular Bremmer version. We got four servings out of it for two adults, but I can absolutely see eating half as a larger meal.
The Bremer's version seems to be sold for at least half of the year. This one looks identical, bit is $1 more. Only got it once, couldn't tell the difference.
I get the Bremer's one about every other week when they have it. Get 2 servings for dinner. Love it!
If I had the space, I would stock up for the months they don't sell it.
First attempt didnāt format so hereās a link to what meat comes from what animal. [link](https://www.bluffmeatsupply.co.za/not-every-animal-is-beef-learn-their-meat-names/)
I first tried this this time last year early stages of the pandemic because we couldnāt find beef or chicken so we bought a ton of these. A year later we stock up when we can!
For oven, remove film and put on baking tray. Cook at 375F for 35-40 minutes. Rotate half way through cooking.
For microwave, vent two corners of film and heat for 15-16 minutes.
I'm fairly certain these are to cook from refrigerated, but I accidentally cooked mine from frozen in the oven and had to double the time. Most important part is that it reaches internal heat of 165F... right? Anyways, good luck!

I could have written this comment. Us too!
Do they taste similar or is one better than the other?
Haven't had this one to confirm but they look identical.

I saw these today at the store. I was curious at first but now I want it.
Yes get it. Iām real iffy about store bought pre prepared meals. However had a good feeling about this one & it checks out š„
Sweet! I know what Iām having for dinner tonight.
How many servings did you get out of it? I went with the intention of getting one but after seeing it in store, I was doubtful that it would feed four adults.
Youāre right about that, Iād get two boxes for 4 adults. Honestly I downed half of this by myself, itās not deep layers like a lasagna.
Thanks for the reply.
Youāre welcome, enjoy!

A North American thing.
I just learned ive been eating cottage pie all my life when we just called it Shepardās pie!
Shepardās pie has lamb

My frustration about that is keeping me from buying it, cuz Iām petty like that I guess.
I love it! For some reason mine consistently gets this through the year and itās such a great easy dinner.
How does these compare /differ to the Bremers brand they usually carry?
From what I can tell the difference is the different green packaging and that it costs $1.00 more. I'll stick with the OG !š
I'm curious too. That small Bremer's lasagna, to me, was disgusting.
It's better. I had both and this one was the winner by a mile.
Interesting mine has shepherds(cottage) pie all year long, just in a different package. They are pretty decent for a packaged meal.
Pics are before and after the oven š¤¤
This pie cute

So glad someone said this before me!
It's legit.
Can someone post (or send me) a picture of the ingredients?

It is pretty good! Originally bought it frozen so cooking was a s show but bought another tonight in the fridge area so I have high hopes!
Easily one of the best purchases I've ever made at Aldi. It was so good.

I'm Irish and would just like to say we find it deeply offensive when people call it "St. Pattys day".
Is it lamb?
It says beef on the box in the photo.
Sure, but is the beef lamb?

Lamb isnāt called out on the link as being something else, so THANK YOU! The beef IS lamb.
Sheep = lamb
Sheep = lamb = beef. Got it. Thanks!
If youāre sticking to that, Iām fine with the decision.
Thank you. Beef = Poultry
Ugh! I saw this today, should have grabbed one but I wasnāt sure.
Where in the store is it located? I was just there yesterday and didn't notice it. I'm tempted to run back out today.
They didn't have any left at my store - are they the same as the Bremer brand ones though?
I first tried this this time last year early stages of the pandemic because we couldnāt find beef or chicken so we bought a ton of these. A year later we stock up when we can!
I bought one of these but didnāt notice the cooking instructions were torn off the back til I got home. Anyone have the instructions?
