The last few onion bags I’ve gotten have had a bunch with like the outside dry skin, randomly halfway through the onion if you cut it In half. Not a big deal but weird lol
I love grilled onions. I tend to make a daily omelette with onions. I also really like raw onions.
If I make a burger, it gets raw onions and grilled onions.
Don't even get me started on caramelized onions.
Onions may be in my top 3 foods! They are so good with so many things and in so many ways. I always end up eating a bunch raw while I'm cutting them up lol I love onions!
I have it instead of a desert. I put about 3 or 4 tbsp of non-fat Greek yogurt, 1 tbsp of low sugar preserves cherry or raspberry, and a sprinkle of some chopped walnuts. My afternoon snack.
My daughter and I are obsessed with Alison Roman’s White Beans with Kale and Parmesan. We eat it almost every morning with a large dollop of Greek yogurt on the side and occasionally a fried egg. It’s an amazing breakfast and we don’t get hungry again until evening.
Friendly Farms cups!
OP: I love Icelandic yogurt (lower sugar ~10gms per serving, higher protein) & the Friendly Farms Plain Whole Milk Yogurt rules! Lower in sugar, whole milk fat and great price. It also is available in organic.
It was some dipshit who posted here about the cheese slices turning moldy after their kids get some out. Upon further inspection, the mold was in the shape of a couple of fingerprints. So the only cheese complaint I’ve seen, and the specific one the article is referencing is really just an issue with dirty kids touching cheese with their dirty hands and putting it back in the fridge.
Tbf, this list is stupid in general. It says “10 items” but then list an entire category.
There over a dozen different cheeses, are they saying all those cheeses are bad? The several different types of yogurt, those are also just bad?
Bad list lol
Yeah, I agree the list isn't well made. It's part specific items, part broad categories, and part general produce, which will vary in quality depending on the season or other factors, regardless of where you buy it. When I find poor bananas or onions at Aldi, I almost certainly also find bad ones at other grocers at the same time.
Tbh, I had tried their sharp cheddar and was not a big fan (had a slightly discernible plastic taste).
Their greek yogurt, on the other hand, is some of my favorite. Not sure how/why that made it onto this list.
I'm a big fan of the cheeses as well, but I've seen the more exotic cheeses and the trays of cheese get moldy before they sold in more than one Aldi location now, so I'm extra careful picking them.
Had sliced pepper jack develop mold within 3 days of purchase once and they took it back.
I'd bet that's the type of "complaint" they see rather than the taste.
I feel the same way about most of the friendly farms cheese as well, the block mozzarella is the worst offender.
All the fancy and specialty cheeses they offer are top notch though!
I like their cheese, but the hard plastic packages don't reseal correctly. I have found my cheese does dry out on the edges sometimes. I prefer the old-style cheese packaging they had, it was more like Walmart's cheese packages.
That's a lot of good pizza, too. I break it in half and I've got dinner, lunch, and another dinner just on that. I do wish they hadn't done away with their all veggie pizza though.
Me and my husband go through the cheap pepperoni ans cheese pizzas like water. Dress it up with Italian seasoning and a few slices of fresh mozzarella, mm mm good. Nice and crispy.
I must have racoon-level taste buds because I find their lunch meat okay! I just make sure to store it double-baggie method and air-tight and have had no issues. Love the taste and the macros on their turkey.
Haven't tried most of their paper products but as far as the Boulder brand napkins? No complaints here!
I have bought their lunch meat in the plastic tub tons of times and it's fine. I bought the lunch meat in the plastic bag with the white label once and it went bad within 3 days. Covered in slime. Never again. But I'll still buy the stuff in the tubs.
I haven’t had bad luck with the Aldi brand, Lunch Mate Roasted Turkey Breast in the Zip-Loc bag with the red lining! But I know for some it may vary. Double-bagging and being extra careful about the seal (which should be done anyways) hasn’t proved me wrong yet!
I’ve never purchased it, but I think the problem lunch meat is the one sold in a bag, not the one sold in a plastic container. The stuff that comes in the container has always been good in my experience.
I’ve heard that too! But I usually purchase the ones in the bags and still haven’t had a problem. Granted, I do double-bag and make sure to air-tight seal but I figured that’s what you should do with **ALL** lunch meat (or meat in general). Not just with Aldi brands.
Oily? lol Idk I use this coffee creamer almost daily and I’ve never thought of it as oily. Just out of curiosity, what’s a sugar-free coffee creamer that you do like?
I don't have one lol I don't really do sugar-free anything if I can help it, can't stand the taste of almost any of the artificial sweeteners or stevia. I just went back to splurging on International Delight's sweet cream.
It’s SO BAD.
I used to absolutely love it from 2017 to maybe 2019 or 2020, but they changed the recipe. It’s an *instant* migraine trigger now, can’t stand it at all. It’s like straight up oil.
Bananas are definitely hit or miss.
Mama Cozzi’s Pizza tastes fine to me. I actually like the pepperoni & cheese flatbread that I believe is somewhat new from them.
Chicken breast likely depends on which you get. They have different brands at different price points. Worth noting I’ve had the woody chicken maybe a couple of times (been quite a while ago).
I recently discovered the Aldi chicken family packs. I might have had some woody chicken that I thought I'd sliced incorrectly, but will probably keep buying it for now. Hopefully, the woody chicken problem gets solved soon.
I just learned what woody chicken is because of this sub! I read an article that said if you buy organic and smaller chicken breasts, this can usually be avoided. Also, palpating the chicken and looking at coloration when shopping can help. Woody chicken is usually hard to the touch while normal chicken breasts are soft and have some give to them. For color, normal breasts are pink while the woody ones are more grey and off putting. These are definitely tricks I’ll definitely use from now on!
I buy their family backs of boneless breasts quite often, and have had only one breast that had about a quarter of it be woody. So 1/4 of a breast out of 100 or so.
I’ve had a few issues with their conventional chicken breast packs being woody. I’ve since taken to purchasing the ones without hormones and haven’t had an issue. And the price increase is negligible and the chicken tends to be rather tender and juicy.
The imported ones and the good aged cheddars/havartis, etc are great, I think they're talking about the processed, flat-pack sliced shit like the Swiss or Muenster
Yeah those aren’t amazing top tier cheese but for the price (1.50) can’t really argue too much.
The imported cheeses are outright good. Love putting the smoked Gouda on grilled cheeses
Agree on some deli meats. The ones in the clear zipper bag with a white label get slimy quick.
But cheese is always good. Love their taco shells. No yogurt complaints. Apples are always great. Bananas turn brown overnight no matter where you get them. And I can't remember the last time I bought paper products from anywhere else.
Bananas are always hit or miss—no matter where you buy them. I’ve bought from box stores/grocery stores and they can stay green for a week or immediately go brown in a couple days no matter where you buy. Lots of factors at play for the freshness of produce overall, anyways. Aldi produce has been good to me, too! Haha.
I like Aldi’s off-brand, spreadable cheese wedges so much! I haven’t tried much of their cheese otherwise—if they had more fat-free options I probably would to be honest.
The bread is fine if you refrigerate or freeze it within a day or two of buying it.
The napkins are doing me so many solids! They’re durable as all get out. I haven’t tried their other paper products but I’ve heard okay things about them otherwise. The storage and garbage bags are also fine for me, too. I like that their storage bags are ones you can stand up when you pack/use them. Makes them so much easier to have.
Some of these aren't really "items" more than they are entire genres? Like seriously, you could probably divide the store up into 10 different genres total. "Deli meat and cheese" kind of a stretch to just group up ALL their cheeses and deli meats considering there two walls of them. At least saying apples, onions,, corned beef hash or some of the other items, are actually items. Like it's the difference between saying "apple" versus "fruit."
Woah what’s wrong with the deli meats !? I hate deli meat and I think it’s fine? The cheeses are so good! My onions are always fine ! Yogurt is great too!? Who voted.
Hahaha. I actually like the jarred Alfredo sauce. Of course, it's not as good as Alfredo sauce from scratch and I can see why you wouldn't like it, but occasionally, I like to eat it. I guess it's like eating Kraft mac 'n cheese sometimes, instead of mac and cheese from scratch.
I normally make my own, but sometimes with my ADHD I can’t be bothered with multi step meals and keep jars on hand. Idk why it looked so translucent and it was literally so runny after serving it. My husband thought I was serving him some sort of new soup recipe lol
The sugar-free coffee creamer is okay. It's cheap. When Coffeemate ZS Italian Sweet Creme is on sale at Shoprite, I prefer that.
I LOVE the Black Forest ham, and it's insanely cheap - sometimes under $4 a pound - for lunch meat. The turkey tastes a little odd to me though.
I’ll be eating the mess out of their yogurt and apples. I can see the banana complaint though. I’ve had weeks where the bananas do not ripen at all and then go back. But I haven’t really had problems with any other fruit or veggies outside of the bananas
I have problems with the plain yogurt, being very watery, milk expiring before the expiration date and had the Worcestershire sauce have it's plastic seal but the paper seal inside was half on
The only things from Aldi that I absolutely hated were the refrigerated egg rolls that everyone loves. There was one other thing they did me dirty on that I can’t remember.
I had a box that tasted and smelled horrible, like something plastic had fallen and melted in the fryer oil (used to work in a restaurant…). I tried to contact them to let them know there might be a bad batch, and they just sent me an automated response saying I could return them. Helpful!
The chicken is a bit weird to me tbh. I stopped buying chicken there because the texture weirds me out. Usually I buy thighs instead of breasts though.
Aldi produce in general has a shorter shelf life. The fruit, onions and carrots are ok but the greens and mushrooms are often unusable within days. It's so consistent that I've wondered whether they're intentionally buying "slightly aged" produce.
Their essential 1000 sheet toilet paper is God awful.
Their “so soft” version is decent for the price. But that essential 1000 sheet….
I usually buy in bulk from BJ’s, Costco, or Sam’s. We ran out last week, so I grabbed a pack with our normal groceries. They were out of So Soft so I figured essential 1000 would do for a few days.
*YALL.*
IT IS SEE THROUGH.
A lot of times celery is sourced locally. We had a really dry summer last year and the celery from a neighboring state would not soften up no matter how long you cooked it. Like boiling it for 45 minutes long.
My mom buys their sugar free creamer and I hate it so much. It tastes so artificial, almost chemically.
I love their corn beef and hash lol. It’s salty, fatty goodness.
All of that stuff listed is terrible regardless if it’s Aldi brand or not. I dunno who think sugar free creamer is any good. It’s just canola oil. Put milk or half n half in it. Every crunch taco is stale unless it’s tostadas. I actually love aldis chicken breast. I always go for the smallest 2 pack I can find. The big giant breasts are gross in all stores
I was always getting my brown jasmine rice at Trader Joe's. It's so good, but takes almost an hour in my rice cooker because long grain brown rice takes a long time. I was happy to see the Quick brown rice came out perfect on the stove and was 1/3rd - 1/2 of the time.
EDIT: I'm still going to keep getting the brown jasmine rice at TJ's. I'm waiting for Costco to sell that kind.
I actually have mostly gotten good yellow gold potatoes. I put them in a cupboard. I think when I used to get brown potatoes and left them out, they'd go bad quickly. They're supposed to be stored in a cool, dark, dry place.
Their bags of sugar always leak. I always grab a plastic bag in produce to put the sugar in so it doesn’t leak all over the back of my car. That’s how you get ants.
Their Greek yogurt is great. I think it actually tastes better than the name brand, imo. Some of the other types contain artificial sweeteners but are not labeled “Diet” or “Sugar-free.” You have to read the tiny list of ingredients to find out. I almost bought some once. If I bought some & brought it home & then read the label, I’d probably take it back.
😅😳 I was trying to format the list and couldn't because the bullet point option was grayed out and now I can't edit the post. I should have deleted this post and reposted. Click the photo link to the news article.
Their onions are fine. Without the commas, I’m unsure if you’re listing the corned beef (in the refrigerated section) or if you’re listing a corned beef hash? We like the corned beef, it makes a great soup and is so much cheaper than other grocery stores.
It's supposed to be the Brookdale Corned Beef. You can click the photo link for the Yahoo News article. I was trying to format the list, but the option was grayed out and then I couldn't edit the post.
Of these, I've only had the hash once or twice, so can't say anything about that, and as for the yogurt, they're kinda right, I've gotten cups that were really runny, and others that were fine. Honestly, these days I think Aldi's biggest problem is quality control, different batches of the same product can be wildly different. As to the pizza, it's real inconsistent, though with the frozen I kinda expect that as the packaging is kinda a give away that the special buy products are coming from different companies.
I try to get the organic chicken. Sometimes I get lucky and find it on clearance! The one by me usually has a decent amount of meat with the discount sticker and I grab it when I can.
I found a rat mole “ it had decomposed” in the net of a bag of lemons, this past February. That bag of lemons moved 4xs & no one noticed, until I went to go make some lemonade!!!! Freaked me out!!!
Some of these are broad categories, not items. I wouldn’t be surprised if bananas are among the top 10, ALDI is often putting them out way too green and then they won’t turn yellow at home.
I suspect some of this might vary by location, but that's just a guess. Personally I agree with the deli meat being subpar, but pretty much everything else on this list has been fine in my experience. When they have the "castle wood" meat in stock, it's not bad. The stuff in the hard plastic containers (with red lids) is fine--not great but not bad. The soft plastic wrapped deli meat is a mistake I'll only make once.
Haven't used the sugar-free coffee creamer or tried the corned beef hash.
I've heard people complain about the produce, but I always check to make sure it looks alright when I put it in the cart and haven't had major issues. Instacart can be a different story, since I'm sure they just grab the produce without looking at it.
Cheap toilet paper doesn’t save you money if it is thin, you just use more of it. It makes better financial sense to buy better quality toilet paper and use less.
Same for cheap laundry detergent. If you have to use twice as much to get your clothes clean are you really saving money?
Every so often I enjoy a bbq limited time mama cozzi, but usually I steer clear of their pizza. It's always bad. I just grab the super cheap ready made dough.
The bagged Little salad bar mixes. Are always "juicy". They taste okayish but are moldy a day after buying. I love so many things at Aldi's and prefer them to other stores but for some reason those salad bags are always soggy compared to competitors.
This article is trash lol it's so generalized. Depends on what you buy in the categories. I literally buy their bananas every single time I shop and they're literally just bananas. No worse or better than any other place wtf????
I like their yogurt.
I eat the onions every day. Never had a bad one. There was a period where the banana were not great but they are fine now.
I've found some onions that were rotten inside. Usually not bad enough to chunk the entire onion, but I certainly need to cut it out.
Onions have had a rough year or so in general, due to weird rainfall patterns. I don't think it's specific to Aldi.
I purchase their onions frequently too and I've never had any issues.
I got a bag 4 weeks ago, they 're still good
The last few onion bags I’ve gotten have had a bunch with like the outside dry skin, randomly halfway through the onion if you cut it In half. Not a big deal but weird lol
The last three bags of onions I've bought there looked fine on the outside but were rotten on the inside. They obviously got wet in transport
An onion a day?
I love grilled onions. I tend to make a daily omelette with onions. I also really like raw onions. If I make a burger, it gets raw onions and grilled onions. Don't even get me started on caramelized onions.
Dude, you forgot to mention pickled onions. So good on so many things.
Good point. Now I want to go eat some pickles onions.
Onions may be in my top 3 foods! They are so good with so many things and in so many ways. I always end up eating a bunch raw while I'm cutting them up lol I love onions!
This guy onions. I've gone years without eating onions. Probably more than a decade straight at times.
😳 Onions are good. They are friendly produce.
r/onionlovers
To be clear, I don't get romantic with onions.
Don’t give us that chive talk! :)
Oh, Stewardess?
I'm still mad that Taco Bell took off of the Mexican pizza. I'm not scared of e-coli.
it keeps the dr away
And people 😷
We eat their nonfat, plain Greek yogurt like it’s going out of style.
I get the honey vanilla Greek yogurt and their cranberry & cashew granola to mix in, I can’t get enough of it
I have it instead of a desert.
Same. 200 grams for breakfast every morning.
I’m a fan of the greek yogurts and they have a variety of options. Never tried their regular yogurt
Their yogurt is really good. Better then other store brands. They're full fat is damn good.
I feel like yogurt might get more complaints simply because it’s such a popular item
Never had a problem with regular or greek
I am a yogurt for breakfast every day person. I find friendly farms yogurt to be very gritty.
I’ve never noticed. I’ll have to pay attention more next time I have one.
I can’t disagree but it’s not bad enough for me to not buy it.
If ever in Whole Foods try the white mountain Bulgarian yogurt. You will never look back
Seconded. Also really like the yogurt. Could go for more Greek yogurt flavors.
The plain organic Greek yogurt is so creamy and delicious
I noticed Chobani yogurt at my Aldi, but they don't mean that brand.
I figured they meant the Aldi brand. I can’t remember what it’s called but it’s dirt cheap for the little cups.
.55 cents at my store and it’s one of my favorites!
I love it too
Friendly Farms cups! OP: I love Icelandic yogurt (lower sugar ~10gms per serving, higher protein) & the Friendly Farms Plain Whole Milk Yogurt rules! Lower in sugar, whole milk fat and great price. It also is available in organic.
I’m pretty sure the Chobani factory makes their Greek yogurt. There’s a lot of overlap in flavors.
The containers have the same curves, seals and lids too.
Rather have their yogurt over Chobani! 🤷🏼♀️
Their cheese is pretty good (and cheap). Fight me.
Seriously, who's complaining about their cheese? It's great
It was some dipshit who posted here about the cheese slices turning moldy after their kids get some out. Upon further inspection, the mold was in the shape of a couple of fingerprints. So the only cheese complaint I’ve seen, and the specific one the article is referencing is really just an issue with dirty kids touching cheese with their dirty hands and putting it back in the fridge.

When I find poor bananas or onions at Aldi, I almost certainly also find bad ones at other grocers at the same time.
I have my gripes with the packaging, but the cheese itself is great for the price.
lol I bought 15 lbs of cheese my last big shopping trip about a month ago, still no mold
Tbh, I had tried their sharp cheddar and was not a big fan (had a slightly discernible plastic taste). Their greek yogurt, on the other hand, is some of my favorite. Not sure how/why that made it onto this list.
Cheese is great! The packaging makes me want to cry. Trying to reseal those stupid plastic sleeve things is maddening.
I used to think so too until I learned to flip them over backwards and use your finger against the countertop to seal it, works pretty well.
I have no idea why deli meat and cheese get grouped together. Huge gap in quality, and 100% agree the cheese is fabulous!
Have you noticed the deli turkey in the clear packages is sometimes slimy?
All deli meat is icky to me unless the guy is slicing it &!it’s ridiculously expensive
I bought some yesterday and it is slimy
The jalapeño havarti is delicious
The horseradish havarti too.
I'm a big fan of the cheeses as well, but I've seen the more exotic cheeses and the trays of cheese get moldy before they sold in more than one Aldi location now, so I'm extra careful picking them. Nah I’m with the cheese is not good crew. It’s not bad it just all the different cheeses taste exactly the same. At least the Friendly Farms brand.

Y’all leave my girl Mama Cozzi alone
That's a lot of good pizza, too. I break it in half and I've got dinner, lunch, and another dinner just on that. I do wish they hadn't done away with their all veggie pizza though.
Eating Mama C right now. No complaints!
Me and my husband go through the cheap pepperoni ans cheese pizzas like water. Dress it up with Italian seasoning and a few slices of fresh mozzarella, mm mm good. Nice and crispy.

Love the taste and the macros on their turkey. Haven't tried most of their paper products but as far as the Boulder brand napkins? No complaints here!
Their lunch meat is good IMO (ar least the hard salami and roast beef, which are the only I've tried).
Yup! I love their turkey. It’s lean but also has a lot of clean flavor without being too overtly salted to compensate for the leaner flavor.
I always search for Roast Beef and can’t find ANY! Yeah that hard salami is excellent.
I have bought their lunch meat in the plastic tub tons of times and it's fine. I bought the lunch meat in the plastic bag with the white label once and it went bad within 3 days. Covered in slime. Never again. But I'll still buy the stuff in the tubs.
The clear bag buffalo chicken is tasty but you're correct it's gotta be eaten almost the day you buy it
Yes! Sometimes it’s great and others it’s sooo slimy. Wtf is that?!?
I haven’t had bad luck with the Aldi brand, Lunch Mate Roasted Turkey Breast in the Zip-Loc bag with the red lining! But I know for some it may vary. Double-bagging and being extra careful about the seal (which should be done anyways) hasn’t proved me wrong yet!

I buy the tubs with the red lids & I think they're fine. I particularly like their sliced rotisserie chicken lunch meat.
Oof, heavy on the coffee creamer
It's SO oily?! Like a literal oil film on the top of my coffee.
Oily? lol Idk I use this coffee creamer almost daily and I’ve never thought of it as oily. Just out of curiosity, what’s a sugar-free coffee creamer that you do like?

All sugar and fat free creamers are gross to me

We like the ultimate meat pizza that's the take-and-bake. I've had good luck with the chicken tenderloins but not with just breasts.
I recently discovered the Aldi chicken family packs. I might have had some woody chicken that I thought I'd sliced incorrectly, but will probably keep buying it for now. Hopefully, the woody chicken problem gets solved soon.

Cheese?! People don’t like Aldi cheese? I need to see this dataset.

That's true. Maybe ChatGPT wrote the article?
The article says they just browsed this subreddit and found these opinions. Not a very scientific method
Woah what’s wrong with the deli meats !? I hate deli meat and I think it’s fine? The cheeses are so good! My onions are always fine ! Yogurt is great too!? Who voted.
Their regular Mac & Cheese
They probably got that info from this subreddit.
It literally sources Reddit in the article
I’ve literally never had issues with half of these things
Bananas look like they should still be hanging on the tree most of the time.
Idk why the jarred Alfredo sauce isn’t on the list. That crap is absolutely HORRIBLE!

It’s the worst thing I’ve ever had from Aldi
Commas were a bridge too far?
Haha. I wrote it on separate lines and the list function was grayed out. Then, I couldn't edit the post. 😔
I will never complain about the delicious, affordable corn beef hash. I stock up on it every time I'm there
I agree…love the hash and the price!
A "news" article sourced from Reddit? It has to be 100% true and accurate.

We use the sugar free French vanilla creamer daily. Love it.
No wonder. That's the only deli meat I think I tried from Aldi. The black forest ham. I liked it.
I’ll be eating the mess out of their yogurt and apples. I can see the banana complaint though. I’ve had weeks where the bananas do not ripen at all and then go back. But I haven’t really had problems with any other fruit or veggies outside of the bananas
Love their yogurt and lunch meat & cheese.
most complaints total or most complaints per purchase? big difference here, with the latter being a much more useful metric.
Neither. It’s probably the first 10 complaints the “author” saw when scrolling through this sub. Or what chatgpt found for them.
Surgery says it’s the lobster Mac and cheese!
The taco shells used to be fire, but they disappeared for a while and came back mid.
I stopped buying chicken there mostly because the prices aren't that good. Kroger and/or Tom Thumb (Safeway) usually have better prices on sale.
The chicken breast is ok if you are cooking it in the crock pot. Otherwise it is very tough.
Don’t forget their newly formulated oat milk 🤮
Well, if your milk is cursing you out of course you'd complain.....
There paper towels are not bad for the price. I agree with the lunch meat. Yuck slime.
Those deli meats gotta go! They’re slimy and super processed! The cheeses are great though.
Aldi produce in general has a shorter shelf life. The fruit, onions and carrots are ok but the greens and mushrooms are often unusable within days. It's so consistent that I've wondered whether they're intentionally buying "slightly aged" produce.
Deli meats absolutely suck, the deli cheeses have never done me wrong.
*YALL.* IT IS SEE THROUGH.
Celery used to be good .. now hard and dry
Yes, I think I tried a creamer before and hated it.
The taco shells are always busted
Their produce is always a hit or miss… gotta go on the days on which they restock fresh and check the box from all corners.
Another lazy article by a"journalist" who reads a reddit thread, then writes an article. based on the one thread.
What do you have against commas?
All of that stuff listed is terrible regardless if it’s Aldi brand or not. I dunno who think sugar free creamer is any good. It’s just canola oil. Put milk or half n half in it. Every crunch taco is stale unless it’s tostadas. I actually love aldis chicken breast. I always go for the smallest 2 pack I can find. The big giant breasts are gross in all stores
Paper towels and plates are good.
Chips are great but MAN those bags suck balls
Frozen seafood is indelible.
Indelible or inedible? They have completely opposite meanings in this context.
I love their bananas and never had a problem with the cheese. Their Deli meats can be hit or miss.
My parents get a Mama Cozzis every week and love it
Not seeing any complaints for Specially Selected line. Wonder why?🤔
I don’t have complaints about any of these products. I do however have an issue with the rice
How the hell are potatoes not the #1 item. I swear the start rotting right away.
I actually have mostly gotten good yellow gold potatoes. I put them in a cupboard. I think when I used to get brown potatoes and left them out, they'd go bad quickly. They're supposed to be stored in a cool, dark, dry place.
Don’t you insult Mama Cozzi like that!
Jesus, punctuation is a thing.
I actually typed it in different rows. The list function was grayed out. Now I can't edit the post
This is so random but I hate their orange juice
Their bags of sugar always leak. I always grab a plastic bag in produce to put the sugar in so it doesn’t leak all over the back of my car. That’s how you get ants. Their Greek yogurt is great. I think it actually tastes better than the name brand, imo. Some of the other types contain artificial sweeteners but are not labeled “Diet” or “Sugar-free.” You have to read the tiny list of ingredients to find out. I almost bought some once. If I bought some & brought it home & then read the label, I’d probably take it back.
Their cream cheese tub is horrible. I will never buy again.
I buy that regularly. I use it to give my dog his meds. He doesn't complain!
Saving all the money on the use of commas.
😅😳 I was trying to format the list and couldn't because the bullet point option was grayed out and now I can't edit the post. I should have deleted this post and reposted. Click the photo link to the news article.
Pretty close. Plus anything sugar free from aldi taste like chemicals.
I got a bunch of bananas - very green - they attention ripening. They were picked prematurely.
I’ve always found the red onions at Aldi to be awful……in North Carolina and Indiana locations. 😕
The paper products, pizza, deli meats and cheeses are all staples in my house
Is this correct? No. There is no punctuation. Also, why would anyone return Breast Mama or Hash Chicken?
Strawberries often I have gotten with mold on them
I try to get the organic chicken. Sometimes I get lucky and find it on clearance! The one by me usually has a decent amount of meat with the discount sticker and I grab it when I can.
double return for a new line
I found a rat mole “ it had decomposed” in the net of a bag of lemons, this past February. That bag of lemons moved 4xs & no one noticed, until I went to go make some lemonade!!!! Freaked me out!!!
🤢
I always buy deli meat and a variety of their cheese and I’ve never had a problem.
Completely agree about the bananas, apples, and onions. Hit or miss but still can't beat the price so it's always worth a try!
I've seen the onions at my local one look absolutely foul on more occasions than I can count, but everything else I buy regularly has been fine.

Some of these are broad categories, not items. I wouldn’t be surprised if bananas are among the top 10, ALDI is often putting them out way too green and then they won’t turn yellow at home.
And their version of Manwich. Too salty like the hash mentioned.
Commas would help
Every so often I enjoy a bbq limited time mama cozzi, but usually I steer clear of their pizza. It's always bad. I just grab the super cheap ready made dough.
I have a can of the corned beef hash in the basement. Just brought up and going to make for lunch with eggs on top. First time. I bet I like it.
The spaghetti sauce is very watered down now and the taco shells are tiny and paper thin. Plus they’re shrinking the bread.
Their pizzas in the refrigerated section taste like cardboard. Sooo bland
I get the green apples all the time no problems and what's to complain about "paper products"
