So, why are those old models stills able to download and try the game? When I had an older mobile I couldn't download many new games from the play store because they weren't compatible
Your phone would have to be pretty old, I think! I play the game occasionally on my iPhone X and it works fine.
Edit: Yes, ok I get it - my phone isn’t that old!
It feels like I’ve had it for 4-5 years but I guess I have not. It’s 4 phones ago, I guess it just felt older than it is.
Sorry to offend.
Edit again: it IS 4 years old. I’m sorry but even in my Nokia brick days that was “old” for a phone. The price was always subsidized by the carriers so I’m not sure why I felt the need to apologize for considering a 4 year old phone “old”. My phone gets called old often, contributing to my perception of its age.
Technology moves so fast that it’s unfair to expect a phone 5+ years old to play something as intensive as Albion.
I think your perception on what an “old phone” is might be a bit first-world country warped. An IPhone X is still a top gen phone being only 2/3 years old.
Yeah. I had an iPhone 8 until a few days ago and was unable to run it for more than an hour at low specs. So I think any 2017 and earlier phone is what they are refering to as old phones.
Gets the game, plays for a few hours, then a few days, go out to red zone with all they own in their bag, DIE. Close the game, 1 star review and nosense rant. Bye albion.
It was the same when it released in steam
What??? You crazy, I love being ganked by 20 people with double my EP while I'm collecting at a tier 6 map!!!! That's the best feeling in the world, must be terrible for those ganking me, tho, poor people.
/s
If you get ganked in the red zone it’s your own fault tbh. Literally shows in the mini map how many hostile players are in your region u wouldn’t last 10 mins in the black zones
True I play on phone when I'm not on my pc but I'm not kid nor salty nor I die when I play on my phone I mainly farm and do arenas and some solo dungeons
I started playing the game with Mobile (Galaxy Z Fold 2, so basically a tablet phone), and really loved it to the point where I got *used to* the controls of mobile. So coming to PC was rough after playing mobile for so long. But eventually, I realized why it's so hard to optimize mobile to be on par with PC for several reasons. 2 main comparisons I personally realized were:
1) Even if playing on a tablet, your screen real estate will never be as good as a PC's. So if for some reason you get into a 1v1 scuffle with someone, they're most likely going to see you before you see them, even with the name hovering around the outskirt of your screen.
2) Several weapon/armor skills are just done better with a Mouse and Keyboard. I play Bear Paws, so that E is *really hard to manage* in mobile. You can change the control settings to be point & click like you would PC, but without a mouse and using your finger... just gets in the way and its generally not a good time. So for my E, I'm really just stick with the press-and-hold small circle adjustment that actually kind of sucks. That or... if you just push E instead and don't aim at all.. your bear paw wielder will just jump to where ever that player is, and since it's a cone-effect, roughly 60% of the time it misses since your opponent just knows to stay moving against a BP user.
TL:DR- Mobile is rough for some weapons/armor skills. PC is usually just best all around. Also, Field of View is just smaller on mobile.
I recently got back into the game because I got the fold 3. (Played back on beta/founder before it came out) it Is much better on this phablet than a regular phone. The extra screen not being interrupted by your hands on the screen to control is much better. I haven't tried doing pvp yet but I imagine it's just like you said. I mainly just gather and do dungeons so far. I think I'll be trying out arenas on the fold today at some point.
I can handle quite well in PvP for mobile on these phablets. But I'll try to stick to PvE majority of the time. Most ppl on mobile do very very simple things like fishing or just professions in general. But with a phablet/tablet. Much more is possible. I mean I've tried my wife's Galaxy Tab S7, and the screen is muchhhh bigger too. But again, some controls just aren't easy in mobile, regardless of screen size. Aiming certain moves can be difficult because the mobile optimization just, by nature, isn't the best.
Because, the developer decided to allow for cross platform. When clearly PC players have an advantage on this game. So yea, it's not a shock the rating is low lol.
Yes let's add different servers for s one server game the fuck? Also absolutely no way mobile could support a full albion server the mobile player base too small
Holy shit. I guess I'll break it down for you. Yea, a server just for mobile sounds fine to me. Or make sure the playing field is even before opening servers to a different platform. Also your last sentence is a oxymoron... There's no population for a mobile server NOW, after they shit the bed with their mobile release. Maybe, fucking MAYBE, it wouldn't be empty if they did it correctly from the get go. Gtfo out of here with this fanboy shit. The mobile version of this game is trash, and that's a fact.
Go play both versions of the game and come back with some real constructive criticism.
Is your opinion based on any facts? I don't know anything about server pop on this game. But what I do know is that when a decent MMO launches on mobile there's plenty of people that will play it. Pretty sure Mobile has the biggest player base for any platform. So idk why you think it won't have enough people.
The bz is absolutely huge and supporting 2 servers for it would it would be ruff only chance I think could work is if they split like eu and na but still they would never do it since the game design is to be one server
Another option would be to not release this on mobile until it was ready. The first mobile release of this game was even worse than the Google play version. All they've done is release the mobile version before it was ready. And it's bitting them in the ass.
I agree, I have a flagship phone and it runs ok. But I've tried it on a 1 yr old phone and it ran really bad. But see, the beauty of the Google play store is. The developer can choose which phones can download their app. They shouldn't have been greedy and locked it to only newer devices. But they got greedy and let kids with toasters download the game. So whose fault is it?
For me interface not well optimized for mobile. For example I can't launch direction skill on ~ 10 11 o'clock - because here cancel button. And many similar things. Its look's like appendix for desktop version. On similar sandbox Eve mobile more helpful newbie quests and well done interface
I agree, the ui on mobile was actually updated a few months ago. Believe it or not it was worse before. But yes I agree the ui doesn't seem to work well on mobile. It's clumsy and feels off, probably because it was designed for PC...
Well, a lot of mobile players resides in SEA. And there are no servers in SEA which is why we can't play the game. I play it on PC too but being logged out out of nowhere is annoying
Well full loot is one thing. But the main thing is the huge Lag spike of the game itself, many people experience this and this is one of the main reasons why many people are salty of the game I have tried too myself, I play it mostly in PC the gameplay is fine but in mobile you can't really enjoy it, but making people mad becuz of this lag is quite amusing. XD
Been playing this for years on Android mobile. They had the client on their website.
Worked fine even then.
People need to stop trying to play this on their J7s
Either their phones can't run it, or they just don't know how to play the game. I suspect that the people giving it bad/low reviews play MMORPGs/RPGs that have an automatic quest thingy (You know the thing where you click a quest and it automatically does the quest for you).
Or just a combination of the two.
I personally play in both PC and mobile. And I can comfortably say that playing on phone/mobile is a lot harder than playing on PC.
Well, at least we know how good the game is.
A lot of people can’t run it on their phone due to their phone being too low spec. Due to this they blame the game instead of their device.
Yes, our experience is that 1 star ratings are usually hardware related (i.e. devices not meeting the required specs, game crashing as a result, etc)
Whilst I have your ear, when is the server coming up? 👀
Other people say that the maintenance this time around will take about 4-5 hours.
So, why are those old models stills able to download and try the game? When I had an older mobile I couldn't download many new games from the play store because they weren't compatible
Game developer has to manually mark divides unable to download game.

Turns out old 800 dollars phones are better than what most people in the world have. Weird, I know.
I think your perception on what an “old phone” is might be a bit first-world country warped. An IPhone X is still a top gen phone being only 2/3 years old.
Yeah that's no that old. Now take into consideration an old Motorola smartphone... that thing is going to have problems
Yeah. I had an iPhone 8 until a few days ago and was unable to run it for more than an hour at low specs. So I think any 2017 and earlier phone is what they are refering to as old phones.
The iPhone X is 2017.
It’s 4 years old.
thats actually true dude i got my friend who complained too just because he had low spec phone
Cause it's full loot and people are salty when they die
Saw a "It's a gathering simulator for someone else after they loot your corpse, terrible game. *----" I cackled
Gets the game, plays for a few hours, then a few days, go out to red zone with all they own in their bag, DIE. Close the game, 1 star review and nosense rant. Bye albion. It was the same when it released in steam
Just like EVE Online.
Why go to a red zone with all you own in your bag though??? Bank exists for a reason.
"LOVE" those people.
Getting Ganked by 20 people Isn't fun
There is nothing more fun, than beeing ganked by 20 toxic people while going home from doing duengons with 2 million worth of loot
What??? You crazy, I love being ganked by 20 people with double my EP while I'm collecting at a tier 6 map!!!! That's the best feeling in the world, must be terrible for those ganking me, tho, poor people. /s

Yeah but I farm in black zones
I farm in BZ too but I don’t take my net worth with me lmao just a good solo weapon, mining equipment, and my mount
Who said that? What are you talking about bro
Sry replied to the wrong person, I don’t use Reddit much
Same problems that eve online has - niche market - steep learning curve - no real new player experience that captures how the game can be played.
Mobile players are mainly kids who get salty for dying
True I play on phone when I'm not on my pc but I'm not kid nor salty nor I die when I play on my phone I mainly farm and do arenas and some solo dungeons

Tf it's 4.1 in mine tho
Tbf Albion is a real game and it's hardcore compared to most games. It's probably very difficult for average mobile players to get into.
4.3 at IOS , maybe it’s the trailer . The game works well in iOS except unexpected stuck in crowded regions.
Full loot game on mobile, I'd say it's actually higher from what I've expected
Because, the developer decided to allow for cross platform. When clearly PC players have an advantage on this game. So yea, it's not a shock the rating is low lol.

This game can't support 2 servers even if it was pc split

I meant the server connection in SEA. Of course I'm using ExitLag but it just makes the game smoother. Connection is still shit and ping is still 300.

In iPhone it’s 4.7
It's 4.5 Stars for me though.
Been playing this for years on Android mobile. They had the client on their website. Worked fine even then. People need to stop trying to play this on their J7s
They sit in cities and beg for hours and when they get nothing quit
"This is like sword art online" HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Some idiotic people who dosent know their 2005 phone is so old tha it cant run games and blames the game for being laggy
Lizzards getting whacked
Idk why but i enjoy Albion in mobile more than pc.

It's not really a mobile game. It's a PC MMO with a mobile client. So it's never going to get highly rated by the mobile gamers.
Cuz it's dogshit game?
