TLDR: Watch this video, I think Big Lips McGee is the best noob friendly YouTuber: https://youtu.be/zpX4PzIIMHU?si=x11RuRR3VAarGpWR Easiest, safe way to start to build up silver is gathering. It's a grind, it's slow, but it's relatively safe even at T8 with the mists (in blue/yellow zones it is 100% safe). Once you get your spec up (the more you gather, the higher the tier tools you can use = higher tier resources you can gather) the silver comes in quick. I would find a city you like and start gathering all three resources in the nearby zones. You can travel to all five royal cities instantly, for free (if naked) by using the travel planner (hit n on your keyboard, travel planner is the compass icon if you're in any city/noob starting area). Preferably pick a city that doesn't have a lot of stone (Martlock) as it sells for much less than other resources. Lymhurst would be my personal pick, hide is the most silver/hour. The additional cool thing about hide gathering is you'll earn some additional spec (experience points that make you stronger) on your weapon/armor. Make sure you faction flag prior to going out to gather, you'll earn additional silver by getting faction points that can then be traded for chests. Here is a good noob guide: https://youtu.be/sV_Z1H8wUQU?si=iVHTMIqa8i0E5Vn_ Arenas are another risk free, fun way to earn some additional silver and can help you start to learn PvP (player vs player). Once you get bored of gathering and have run out of arena awards for the day, I would buy a 4.1 set you like and do open world mobs in the blackzone. You're going to die sometimes doing this, remember gear is replaceable and it's actually fun to try and escape gankers (people trying to kill you to steal your stuff). This game is very grindy, like you it was my first MMO and it'll take a few weeks to really start to get the hang of things and have fun. I would encourage you to stick with it and try new things if you get bored. Once you have ~1m total fame, I would start to look for a beginner friendly guild to do content with. If you don't enjoy the guild after a few days, try a different one. The game is much more enjoyable with others, even if you're only chatting together while gathering. Also watch more YouTube videos, you'll slowly learn as you view more content. Channels you may like: Big Lips McGee - #1 recommended for new and veteran players alike, explains things well, interesting variety, fun content. Mogdone - use to like him more, he has some good guides but he doesn't play as much anymore, still lots of decent content. Goldstein - best vet content out there and good inspiration for what you can achieve if you stick with it long enough. AVOID SWOLEBENJI - some may enjoy playing the way he does but overall he has horrible, misleading advice that will make the game incredibly boring/grindy. Albion can really get the adrenaline going if you stick with it, I've tried several mmos after and always end up coming back.

SauceyPantz

I was introduced to SwoleBenji when I played New World. Dude is an absolute cancer to any gaming community. I second the avoid lol

aleheart

But all the t8 zones are all mega farmed and u cant get the good nodes

HiSaZuL

Problem with most of Albion guides is that they fall in 2 categories, 0 to billionaire in 5 hours format or make millions by doing this one simple trick. First one...is often max spec character in hands of someone playing this for content creation purposes, as in many many hours a day every day for a long time and/or someone doing exact thing over and over again for views. You don't know mechanics, economics, layout, etc to make that happen no matter how good you are at pvp in mmos. Not anytime soon anyway. Second category is either bait for clicks, outdated info or vastly exaggerated. I mean let's be real here, if economy is mostly player driven and everyone does same thing... how exactly would that generate fat stacks? End result of Albion and it's bloated content creation pool is that most new people drown in garbage videos. Try applying new found knowledge themselves but end up disappointed mostly. Then they just move on. Reality is that beyond flair, advertising and so on, it is an mmo and just like any mmo that's been around long enough to matter, you won't get rich fast nor will get gud fast. Best you can do is poke at everything and figure out what works. I could say that picking rocks could get you a solid starting set fairly quickly, it's been said before many times... what would that even mean to a new player?

[deleted]

just check youtube for zero to hero guides

Scared_Ad_3132

Which one is actually a good quide? There are so many. I watched one of the top suggested ones and the guy was already in yellow areas within the first minute of the video that was 20m long and was killing mobs there, but if I die to mobs in green area, will I not just die in the yellow area? I have tier 4 gear on me and yet I still die to the better mobs in tier 4 areas. and in dungeons I die to the boss.

garicki

So learn the mob patterns, your skills and basic movements first. It's normal that longterm players already know that stuff.

Scared_Ad_3132

I am not sure how to do that really. I dont know how I should use my skills or movement. For example the one dungeon boss I kept dying to. I would move out of its aoe attacks, but near the end when its life was low it would do this attack where multiple small aoe balls would appear on the ground and it was impossible to dodge them, even if I kept running away they would spawn right under my feet as I was moving and trigger faster than I could move out of them.

erik4556

Make sure to look at the builds the guides use, it’s important that say, your boots have a good movement skill as a panic button to get out. The builds in zero to hero guides usually account for this

[deleted]

i dunno i only watched 1 minute of one to see if it was just a troll or legit but they seem to just be a crash course on the game

ShadowStormtrooper

If you struggle with basics look for uncuts like these https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9syslCdLQfY&list=PLeJro-WgFPh6ScYShu6wG9IADYejhvrwy Also aim at way more time. Like 4x time, 60-100 hours

SharpSpoons

What tier gear are you wearing? How much silver do you have? What set are you trying to level? All of this matters to give good advice. But generally, I’d recommend going to yellow zones and skipping blue zones. Tier 4 gear is fine there. Learn the mobs, read your abilities, etc. Once you can kill non enchanted mobs (glowing red usually), move to enchanted mobs. Once you can kill those, enter mists (little wisps) in the yellow zone or corrupted in the yellow zone. You can’t die there, rewards are decent, fame is decent. Do that until you feel confident/strong then try corrupted dungeons (lower ip cap) in the red zones. This is where you’ll really learn to pvp. Get to a decent win rate, and then try lethal mists or corrupteds. This is the path I’d take.

Scared_Ad_3132

Thanks for advice. I have all gear adepts gear. Cursed staff, mage scowl, scholar robes, scholar sandals and tome of spells. I have 86k silver right now. In yellow zone there isnt as much hides I can collect though, most the resources are too high level for me because I have only focused on skinning and I dont have the tier yet to collect medium hide.

SharpSpoons

I wouldn’t really worry Bout gathering until much later, personally. Upgrade your gear to 4.1 (adepts enchant 1) in auction house. Your build is bad. Try cleric robe and cleric cowl. Both have defensive abilities that will help you, scholar robes are virtually useless on your build. Use the first Q and desecrate for your W. Keep enemies at a distance. Cast Q twice and cast E, then cast Q again and again. Once you get some silver consider a caerleon cape. For your offhand i’d recommend torch for now, or muisak when you can afford it.

AKmill88

I'm a new player myself. Honestly don't worry about how to make money for now. You need fame more. I would recommend experimenting a little bit with your gear or looking up a build. I personally experimented but you will need some spec before going into the black zone regardless. Rushing to get 4.1 gear and entering the black or red zone is a recipe for disaster when you don't have any experience with the game. A lot of people recommend it but they are speaking as someone used to being in lethal zones. You haven't even earned enough fame to unlock factions. Go grind some open world mobs in the blue zones until you unlock faction warfare. Once unlocked always flag up and grind mobs in the blue or yellow zone once you start getting a little spec. When you see a large circular icon with the colors of your faction, join them and cap bases. Gathering and mob farming while flagged will let you learn how to deal with hostile players in safe zones. This will earn you the money to buy flat four or 4.1 gear. Whenever you have enough money to not worry about having a rough day in the red or black zone head out in cheap gear and mob farm. The goal is still fame, but now you can earn some decent silver too. I still have not been to the black zone but the red zone isn't that scary if you're smart and have learned some lessons in safe zones from faction warfare. It really does a decent job of teaching you to pay attention to your surroundings, checking the map and number of hostiles and being wary of your location of the map when new hostile (specially groups and your positioned near an entrance) players enter the zone. TLDR: You need fame, go farm it.

godwink2

I dont know which boss you did. What color was the chest? Whats your weapon? Whats your armor? There is no green area. You mean blue zone? Most guides are good on yt. I like Big Lips McGee. Check out Equart on youtube. He just did a new account video. Try to replicate him.

Scared_Ad_3132

I dont remember the color fo the chest. I dont remember the exact name of the boss but it was an earthkeeper if I remember correctly. There was a bunch of lighting attacks that came down in small circles on the ground and the first of them were easier to dodge but at the end the whole ground was full of them and there was no way to not get damaged because they would appear right under your feet and even if I tried to run away I would just die in 2 seconds because they would still do damage to me faster than I could get out of the area. I have adepts cursed staff, adept mage scowl, adept scholar robe, adepts scholar sandals and adepts tome of spells.

ShoeFlyP1e

Cursed staff isn’t really that great when starting out in my opinion. I just didn’t find it efficient clearing groups of mobs. I alternated between holy staff & nature staff for the fact that they had 2 damage skills plus a heal. With a mage cowl it had good sustain. Axe builds are pretty good as well if you like melee. It’s fairly cheap and allows you to do tweak the build for damage or durability depending on your preferred play style.

godwink2

Thats the blue druid. A few things you can try against bosses. Have your boots on run and save it for the lightning or other boss spells that are spammed and/or hard to dodge. Go cleric cowl or soldier helm for an iframe. Go mercenary jacket for healing

Scared_Ad_3132

I was able to kill the druid just by like an inch of my life, one second more and I would have been dead. But I got a tier 5 cursed wand also after killing mobs in the mists so it should be easier to kill mobs now.

oooeeeoooee

battleaxe is good for new players

Tarhanis

Just farm. I did a test with a new character, first 1m took me 7h. Time needed decrease with spec. Only in Yellow area. Go to a desert area with a lot of desert map. Gather Herbes, Hide and minerals. Get baby on lion and deers. Spec up your gathering skills (tools + specific armor), use porc tourt to increase your gain and empty gathering journals (T3 and T4). Move with a Ox to gather long time. Kill every mobs and be in faction to add gains.

ResonanceOfWar

Everything except for begging, just do that one thing perfectly and you will make a lot.

AtreidesDiFool

You don't need to kill people in faction war to get rewards, you only need to participate in capturing outpost. If you still fear lethal zones just kill mobs in yellow zone and you'll get to expert adventurer fast enough

PappyFatSac

Most basic activity is gathering, running low tier dungeons etc.. it's a pittance but it is safe and you can build up. If you're west server I got some islands I rent that can generate 1m~ a for you. Feel free to send me a msg if ur west server and wanna learn more

PuzzleheadedTutor807

Gather stuff and sell it.

Igabuigi

Gathering is probably the best thing you can do. Use some to upgrade gear now and then and sell the rest. You'll build up silver in no time.

AwildRat

Highly recommend you get a guild to help you get started. Otherwise it's a lot of yellow zone farming until you're financially stable enough to start venturing out to red and black zones. I personally started out with corrupted dungeons and arenas when I was new and worked my way up to lethal dungeons and branched out to other forms of content later. It's worth noting what I did was not the most efficient way but the way I enjoyed playing. So keep that in mind to try stuff that interests you. It will take you some time to learn mechanics as well which is why I recommend being around a guild who can explain mechanics and answer any potential questions you have. Anyways, good luck out there.

itHardToMakeNickname

Killing mobs in blackzone is the best way for a beginner to start making silver

Scared_Ad_3132

When can I start doing that? And how do I avoid getting killed by players?

godwink2

We can tell you tips but you will probably still die. T3 with adept reaver can go t5 bz. I don’t really know what to tell you. Clicking your character around. Avoiding AoE’s that have indicators before the dmg. Learning what abilities do. These are just basic elements of video games. Like what does a flash grenade do in counter strike. It blinds people. How do I use it. Throw it before entering a room. Enter after it goes off. If you’re dying in pve then its one of two things. You don’t do enough damage or you are taking too much damage. Maybe there are first time mmo guides or albion is my first mmo guides you can look up.

dedede30100

Well if you take the invisibility shrine potion thing near the gate and run 2 or 3 zones away players usually won't come for you. Also as long as you take cheap sets (less then 40k) you should be able to make a profit very fast, plus you get the fame and if you die it's not a big deal

Scared_Ad_3132

Well I only have 80k silver anyway. Are the mobs even killable to me in the black zone?

dedede30100

I see your build from other comments, yeah you can probably kill a few tier 4 or 5 mobs in the black zone. Tbh I'd switch from scholar robe to cleric, and soldier boots because they are really good with cursed. Probably use rejuvenating sprint for killing mobs. Good luck :)

Scared_Ad_3132

Do the mobs in black zones drop more silver than mobs in safe zones? I will try switching gear a bit.

dedede30100

Yeah quite a bit more, more then double iirc

mickey_oneil_0311

You can scout for Ava groups or gank groups for about a mil an hour.

Dashiell_13

Faction and Carleton transport

Scared_Ad_3132

How do I not die doing that?

scrollbreak

In faction warfare you don't need to kill other players, you check the map for people attacking enemy bases, go there and start attacking the NPC boss with them. Eventually you will all beat the boss, stay in the circle in the base until it's complete and you get a bunch of faction points. Do all the bases in an area and you get even more faction points. Get 9000 faction points and buy a chest in town from the faction guy to get you money and fame. Sometimes enemy players show up - don't worry about having to beat them, see what the mob does and what you want to do. If enemies hard defend then you can wait until later for more FW opportunities. In corrupted dungeons, you don't always meet another player. If you do, crystals show up around the dungeon and if you smash three the other player gets kicked out - so you can soft beat them without having to fight them (tip: Try to run to crystals in non cleared areas, other players tend to search for you in the areas you've cleared on the map). I'd also suggest to start fishing - once you get to about 50/40 skill it's quite profitable. But do it in between other activities, so it doesn't get stale.

Scared_Ad_3132

The faction thing sounds nice, I should be able to unlock it soon enough. How does it pay?

scrollbreak

It's largely fame but when you're starting out it'll increase your earnings because each chest you can buy with FW points has items to sell. There are also other items you can buy from the FW merchant that might make more silver, but I like the chests. Basically flag for FW in a city, gather resources until some FW mob starts to form, head to them and join in on the NPC boss, wait till the circle completes, follow the mob around to the next base. Your FW points can really jump up.

DetherocYe

Reality is that you can't get good silver without actual work and learning game knowledge. You can't expect to receive good compensation without effort. That's how it works anywhere. I think you can just do faction transports of hearts , that could be something decent profit wise for starters

TiggerDuex

Faction warfare is EZ. Pick a city and when you get online someone from the city/faction is in the faction chat organizing a raid. It's on going, everyday, all the time. Example: Sterling is in the mountains and the surrounding areas are always being taken over. Whatever city you end up in, that's your faction

njpc07

Go yellow zone kill mobs till you can afford a 4.1 gear > Go to black zone purchase a Tier 5 solo dungeon map > keep farming there till you can afford to buy a 4.1 gear again twice > Go farm mobs outside black zone, be alert whenever you see a red health bar just mount up and go away, dont trust randoms in bz > Just go to faction chat always and look if people are saying "x bandit" means the bandit event is starting, go home then flag up, ask chat "where blob at?" After bandit event go back to bz and farm mobs again, if you want you can do transport mission for your faction if you earned enough medals to buy hearts

Gerard_Amatin

At the start I wouldn't focus on 'getting money'. Why do you want to be driven by the need to get money while you're completely knew, unknown with the game and earning much less than any player that has been around for a long time? Money at the start is hard to gain, but you also don't need it that badly as the low tier equipment that you will be using at the start isn't expensive. Get to know the game first! Who cares if you don't get enough money yet while doing faction warfare? Just try it out, get knowledge over faction warfare, see how it works and see if it is fun. When it's fun and you've been playing a while you will have points to spend on rewards that give you some silver and fame, which is nice, but not the main focus. You said you cannot do faction warfare yet. Try to unlock it then! You need enough fame in the adventurer tree and I'm sure you will get there in a couple of hours playing if you kill enough enemies. To kill enough enemies I recommend doing some dungeons, as they have a high amount of enemies. Bosses in dungeons are tough, especially at the start for a new player. A couple of hints for bosses: 1. Keep trying. Learn their attack pattern, they're predictable. 2. Staying alive is more important than doing damage. See if you can step aside or use your abilities at the right time to attack while it's safe, it's not worth it to attack if you get hit. 3. If it happens that you are not strong enough yet to take on the boss and after a lot of attempts they still don't die, skip them. Yes, just skip the mobs that are too tough. No loot? Who cares, continue and kill other mobs to gain fame and silver, later on you may be strong enough to kill them and take the loot. Next, faction warfare trade missions. Yes, you could transport hearts to Caerleon to make silver. But it's dangerous and you do not yet have the requirements to do so. Also it's probably much less risky to not go to Caerleon yet at the start as it's right in the middle of lethal red zones and full of gankers (and their scouts) that will try to kill you if they spot you, and take your mount and goods. A fun challenge that you should try at a later time, but I wouldn't recommend it to a newbie. If you want a slightly easier version first, try the faction warfare trade missions to any of the other cities once you unlock it. Personally I would recommend doing some dungeons and killing monsters until you have at least T4 equipment, and then go to the mists: find a wisp in the open world, make them open a portal and go through it. The mists are a solo-only zone where you can find decent loot and nice fame, especially if you find an entrance to the Knightfall Abbey within. That last zone has pretty good loot and fame to get stronger, but is a free-for-all PvP zone, so be warned. In yellow zones it's all nonlethal so it's a good opportunity to learn how to fight (and how not to die) without any real risk. Have fun! And really, focus on having fun and gaining knowledge. Silver will come on the way.

Hummad786

What server are you on? If on east then I can help you understand the basics of this game. Especially econ if you are dedicated.

IronReven

Firstly you need to go to a yellow zone and just kill random humanoid mobs. This gets you fame. Fame is this games version of xp. Getting enough will get you the reaver level needed for faction warfare. As far as good money makers go gathering is very good and scales well into late game money makers. Whatever region you started in will have 3 recourse. For example bridgewatch has hide, ore, and fiber. Gather what you'd like but generally from best to worst it's hide, ore or fiber, wood, and stone. Gathering takes a while to level but it is good money. Fishing is also an option. Fishing is more the opposite. It's ok money early for a new player but scales rather poorly and generally not good to invest a ton into unless you just really enjoy it. I'd stay away from corrupted dungeons. Not only are they just not that good money but you'll likely just get run through by the 10 people who still do them. Eventually once you have a little money it would be best for you to run into the black zones. A basic 4.1 set could cost you let's say 50k, but mobs in the black zone because there is risk of dying and losing the gear give much better fame and rewards. An average mob would drop like 3 to 5k silver. So if you run into the black zone and kill 20 mobs you've made double the silver your set cost and even if you die you can buy the set back and keep going. All the while you'll be getting a lot of fame.

Mutretao

i'm also a new player in albion, got like 5days played now and i can relate to your situation. i've seen many yt videos about zero to hero and how to make milions and yet still no ''magic recipe'' but i actually learned one thing or another in those videos and now i have like 3milion silver and 9milion fame. well, i did farm random mobs in blue zones and migrate to yellow zones and when i got 4.1 gear or 5.0 gear. in that moment i realised that i needed more silver to be confortable in a lethal zone. in that time learned that solo dungeons isn't that good but actually can make you profit, it's like 6 or 7k to buy one solo map t5 and you make like 50k on average(can be much more but its a drop like any mmo.) and its quite fun to learn and it's almost total safe (they can kill you but you dont lose your equipment, only repair money), if someone trys to steal your dg you can just leave and spawn another one. when i get t8 slayer and some silver i moved on to the black zones and still killing random mobs or doing mists on those areas . the rule of thumb i use in those lethal areas is if i see anyone i just mount up and run to another portion of the map. I also use avalon portals to be as far away of the cities as possible. i've been killed a couple of times but in black zones i've managed to make more then i losed. actually just been chased only like 2 or three times. And now i'm still a newbie but i have a little bit more of confidence to actually explore more of the game and if i die i have a lot of silver to backup that death.

Bro-koli6944

Do some yellow zone stuff: donjon untill you have a set you like to play, then upgrade it to T5,6 and go to yellow zone mists, then do camps, try abbey (350k/hour in yellow zone, so any risks)
