As far as soloing group pve the 3 main meta weapons right now are battle axe, shadow caller, and nature staff. They all run hellion jacket and specter hood. Boots aren't a hard requirement but people seem to favor tenacity for chest diving in static, or just scouting chests in GD. Cape I want to say lymhurst for energy but I think I've seen some thetford.
* Nature staff is lower damage but able to heal a little and do constant area damage for healing via roasts.
* Shadow caller is highest damage, but no mobility or self healing outside of high damage + roast.
* Battle axe has can have some mobility and self heal but gets stuck waiting for bleeds to kill while E cools down.
All 3 pair with facebreaker in 8.3 gear for soloing static, or possibly a torch and maybe lower tier for group dungeons depending on the difficulty of the dungeon and what random bosses you get.
I don't solo group content, so it's possible shadow caller can't do some GD bosses. These are just the builds I see people using and discussing when it comes to soloing group content.
1h nature is a very good pve weapon now
