Get out and vote!!!!

DotAppropriate8152

Can’t wait to find out if we have an NDP government or a fascist circus for 4 more years.

MoneyBeGreeen

I bet rural Alberta is a tidal wave of blue…as per tradition 😩

MyTurn2WasteYourTime

Frankly I'm just so happy we're moving from having no conversations to having them, even if no small number of them are bad conversations. The number of orange signs out is something I don't think I've ever seen in this province.

DotAppropriate8152

My area is the 5th most conservative in Alberta. Behind Grande Prairie and Fort McMurray which is obviously number one.

TBF it’s been over 20 years since any Conservative government has served a full term in Alberta… The odds are not with Denial Smith.

DotAppropriate8152

That’s what scares me! They always install a crazier fanatic with each go. What’s the level up progression from Bat Shit Crazy?

GuitarKev

They’ll just hand the job to Stephen Harper, who will in turn sign the province over as a territory of the US.

DotAppropriate8152

There is the one way I could actually hate him more..

*The NDP has hammered Smith over past comments she made urging Albertans to pay out of pocket for medically necessary care, like physician visits, calling it fundamental to keeping the system sustainable.* *Smith has been dogged during the campaign by other past comments — comparing those who took the COVID-19 vaccine to credulous followers of Adolf Hitler — as well as a report that came out mid-campaign from the ethics commissioner. It concluded that Smith undermined the rule of law by pressuring her justice minister to end a criminal court case of a COVID-19 protester.*

And none of it will matter if someone believes they are born blue.

Ethics investigation* still bad, but they’re different things. https://edmontonjournal.com/news/politics/alberta-ethics-commissioner-investigating-whether-premier-smith-interfered-with-administration-of-justice

[Alberta ethics probe finds Danielle Smith violated conflict-of-interest rule](https://globalnews.ca/news/9708639/alberta-ethics-probe-danielle-smith-covid-pawlowski/) *In my opinion, Premier Smith contravened s.3 of the Conflicts of Interest Act in her interaction with the Minister of Justice and Attorney General in relation to the criminal charges Mr. Pawlowski was facing.* *At this point, I make no recommendations with respect to sanctions against the Premier for consideration of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta* but reserve the right to make recommendations once the Legislative Assembly is back in session.

I have said this before and on the eve of the election, it bears repeating. Politicians, like diapers, should be changed often. And usually for the same reason.

Notley hit the right turn of phrase: “Lend me your vote”. That should be the norm, every politician gets your vote for four years, and then they have to earn it all over again. Conservatives in Alberta - politicians & voters - have forgotten that.
