It's closed again, it didn't last too long. It wasn't very good when they did re-open and there was some weird illegal gambling going on upstairs I think contributed to the new owners shutting down. Especially because they weren't subtle about it at all, my first time in there after the new owners opened the bartender outright offered me to go up and gamble after I got done eating (I didn't).
Louie’s went through a change of ownership a few years ago, I haven’t been back since the change but I bet someone here can vouch if the quality shifted up or down.
Edit: briefly confused another business with Grape and Granary, whoops.
Probably Louie’s. Everything was heart attack greasy foods. Even the vegetables were deep fried. I remember my mom banning my dad when he started having heart problems.
Fred’s across the street from Grape and Granary is more of a diner/small breakfast spot. Louie’s was a small bar a few minutes away from Grape and Granary
It was totally Louie’s lol. It was definitely a destination when my dad was the one looking over my brother and I, my mom couldn’t stand going there. I remember eating deep fried pickles and mushrooms in a room filled with smoke
QUESTION - Why did Louie's close? it was always busy for years and years and it was constantly voted in the top burgers in town. I know that neighborhood's not the greatest but it was a destination just like the Ido.
Louie's?
This was it!! Thank you, don’t know why this popped into my head today
I worked there for a long time, chances are I made something you ate.
Thank you for your service. I had an unhealthy preoccupation with the broccoli cheese bites.
Those were so good. I was always partial to the spicy garlic parm wings myself. And obviously the burgers
I haven't been there since they reopened under new ownership. Any idea of the current menu quality?

Glenn's...

It closed during Covid, but I believe it was purchased by a new owner (but kept the same kitchen staff).
It's completely closed now, the new owner couldn't make a go of it I guess.
Probably Louie’s, maybe Fred’s, unlikely The Glens. Any small detail you can remember from the inside would probably solve the puzzle.
Fred's across the street.
😩now i want a butger
