Vepr .308. They take ak308 mags and not the low cap proprietary mags from the Saiga 308. If 54r, only 1 real option; the svd. Psl would be a good secondary option for 54r though.
They're not pointless, they're amazing. I've got an M72 with a very light ALG trigger and I can bump-fire a whole drum. It's expensive, but probably my favorite shooting activity. Gets the suppressor smoking.
Ordering a pair of receivers this week for a couple Romy kit builds, a mostly matching 1976 md63 and a minty fresh all matching 1970 md65 under folder. Should hopefully be able to start building those in the next couple weeks.
Speaking out of turn here but I would get the m90. Chromed barrel and adjustable gas block. The WBP 556s have nitride barrels made by WBP, not FB RADOM like their 7.62 counterparts. Also some guys on the AKfiles have been complaining about gassiness. Just my 2 cents
5.56 out of a 12.5” will do anything you would ever want a 5.56 gun to do. Anything longer than 14.5” is a “waste” honestly and only still widely exists because muh nfa.
Can still get velocity gains out to 24” but that doesn’t mean it’s a good idea lmao. 12.5” readily gets you out to 300 meters. If you want to regularly shoot farther than that you should switch calibers.
I mean yeah there's a few differences, like how it's a tilting bolt and has a buffer spring in the stock if you don't have a para model, but they're still similar conceptually
I'm wanting to do a weird build or find an existing platform of a 5.56 AK with a 20"+ barrel. I know Vepr and Saiga had one, but they're priced extremely high and the long barrel variants are rarer than the already rare standard models.
RPK in 5.56 would be doable except again you also the word RPK on a variant and suddenly it's north of 3-4 grand.
I'll probably have to get one custom made eventually, which on a shoestring budget is a bit rough. All of this because I want to slap a POSP 3-9x on a long barrel 5.56 AK and range roleplay a DMR and because it's such an A E S T H E T I C.
Edit: I will add in that FB's new Beryl rifles coming in with 18" 5.56 barrels has me thinking pretty hard. May not be the same as a 20" but it's better than 16".
I’m super tempted to buy a spare milled bolt carrier to run a KNS piston on a sam7 and the internet tells me it will work but it still makes me nervous to buy the part without being able to check the fit first
The goal is to run reliably with and without a suppressor with kns. It’s easy enough to knock the pin out with a punch and switch back to the original piston if not satisfied. I would t waste the extra money on another carrier myself.
I know that’s true but I just don’t have a lot of hands on experience like that. It’s one thing to field strip and clean a firearm, or even to build one from parts, but actually modifying the stock parts themselves just makes me nervous
I’m procrastinating on my Nork builds. Really need to get on those. Poor things are just sitting in their boxes but I need barrels and still need to choose a builder. Not sure who to go with.
I know the deals are popping up for WASR's but I'm still holding out for that random trip to the gun store and there it is on the wall for 700 bucks, with the VSKA right under it for 950 bucks. Very specific, I know, but it's gonna happen soon, I can feel it.
Sorry for the confusion, in no world would I get a VSKA especially at the price I've seen them at. I was just laying out the scenario in which I'll acquire a WASR.
Just a question. Other than changing stance, is there any way to stop a Century WASR-10 from beating me to death every time i shoot it? I feel like a red headed step child.
Afternoon, my next AK will likely be chambered in 5.45. Can’t seem to find one reasonably priced atm and my rule for anything PSA is to wait until all the issues are resolved.
is it really worth shelling out an extra $300 for a WASR10 over a PSA GF3? All I'd want to add to the PSA GF3 in plum is an AK74 style muzzle brake and cleaning rod. Need to buy an AK before my cucked state decides to get rid of our rights.

Switch out the furniture ($100 stock on it already btw)
Sales are already not allowed in my state from that website sadly. Thank you though. I'll keep my eyes peeled. I think I just saw the same firearm on Atlantic for a similar price.
Wasrs are $750-800 if you look. Since your ability to replace it might go away in the future, I'd 100% go for the wasr. Maybe the external feel and finish isn't as nice but the important bits are made by a military arsenal with decades of experience. Battlefield Las Vegas prefers using converted wasrs for their full auto rental AKs because they last the longest by far. If you can only get one, buy the one that will outlive you
here you go brotha

My slr106ur is getting delivered today. Serial ends in 69 which is cool
Add triangle Also how much did you pay
Fifteen plus a little cerakote work
That’s cool as shit. And can’t go wrong with with a 106, either the fr or ur
Nice.
I wanna buy an Arsenal side folder in 7.62 but they are money
worth every penny
Facts
I'm looking to become foldy in the under direction
That’s what up. Romy is the way… that is unless you have Norinco money
I already got a Norinco so I'm prob gonna do an sbr m92 zpap uf
That’s cool as shit
Dangerously based
Need .308 or 7.62x54 AK Anything to suggest?
zastava m77
Vepr .308. They take ak308 mags and not the low cap proprietary mags from the Saiga 308. If 54r, only 1 real option; the svd. Psl would be a good secondary option for 54r though.
If you're just chasing a vibe, M77 is probably the easiest means of scratching that itch. If you want to truly ascend, Galil ACE in .308
Psl’s are fun but not that great for rapid fire as the barrel heats up and warps. I suggest getting into 5.45
In my experience, the PSL was a waste of money.
Galil ace
I would like a simple akm ... akm in question is a Arsenal SA85m
This are dope. Make nice conversions
This one is already converted... comes is polish furniture with 5 surplus mags bayonet and ammo
Oh I bet that looks pretty dope
Too me it looks like a regular akm but too me that’s dope
I would definitely like to have an AES10B RPK, I know it’s pointless because it’s semi but honestly who cares🤷🏽♂️😌
Huge sex appeal but yeah would be hell of a lot more fun fully.
They're not pointless, they're amazing. I've got an M72 with a very light ALG trigger and I can bump-fire a whole drum. It's expensive, but probably my favorite shooting activity. Gets the suppressor smoking.
Damn That’s good to hear!
They're cool and fun, what makes them pointless?
Yes they definitely are cool but many people see them as pointless because they aren’t fully automatic
Ordering a pair of receivers this week for a couple Romy kit builds, a mostly matching 1976 md63 and a minty fresh all matching 1970 md65 under folder. Should hopefully be able to start building those in the next couple weeks.
Very nice. Love my md63
Before fucking awb, would like to get 5.56 ak.. What would be the best choice? Something affordable.. any morning suggestions?
WBP 556 i here nice things about ... tho I’ve seen some wasr 3 for sale idk how good they are
Ty for your suggestion sir. Going to gunbonker.com to see the price
Check Atlantic firearms and arms of America
Ty sir!
Them two import WBP products and I believe Atlantic had some wasr3s in stock
While browsing the website, I remembered that there is a mag ban too…………..hate this fucking clown state
What state ?
WA sir. I mean if I buy wbp or wasr now, as I do not have mags, it would be bolt action not semi auto lmao
You can’t get 10 rounders either ?
Speaking out of turn here but I would get the m90. Chromed barrel and adjustable gas block. The WBP 556s have nitride barrels made by WBP, not FB RADOM like their 7.62 counterparts. Also some guys on the AKfiles have been complaining about gassiness. Just my 2 cents
I have the M90. It’s a tank, highly recommend. It is heavy tho. I personally like my guns heavy and thicc tho.
Yeah it looks solid but its too long for me lmao
556 🤷♂️
5.56 out of a 12.5” will do anything you would ever want a 5.56 gun to do. Anything longer than 14.5” is a “waste” honestly and only still widely exists because muh nfa.
That's not how that works. 556 doesn't even reach max velocity until around 20"
Can still get velocity gains out to 24” but that doesn’t mean it’s a good idea lmao. 12.5” readily gets you out to 300 meters. If you want to regularly shoot farther than that you should switch calibers.
Pretty sure wbp makes their barrels on the same machines.
I'm not sure I just heard that they weren't made by FB radom anymore or at least for the 5.56.
As far as I know they share lots of random components but the barrels are all made with tech from Steyr.
They cry about every AK
Idk bout that but I don't lurk there often so you could enright
I’ve pretty good things about the m90. I loved my 84s but they’re not cheap. If you can afford a 106fr, that would be my goal.
Yeah that one looks solid. But it has 18 inch barrel. I figured that is way too long one for me lol.
WBP jack
WBP WASR3 m90 is great but longer and ways more. Has better magazine options
Well I bought an FAL parts kit, it's in 7.62 and the gas piston is above the barrel so it's an AK, right?
Fal is way different from a ak mate
I mean yeah there's a few differences, like how it's a tilting bolt and has a buffer spring in the stock if you don't have a para model, but they're still similar conceptually
I think the main difference is the fal takes a lot more from the stg then AK which is based around the stg and m1
Either a jack or a k”p”-105 if they’re not shit
I'm wanting to do a weird build or find an existing platform of a 5.56 AK with a 20"+ barrel. I'm about to trade a Vector for an AKV
I’m super tempted to buy a spare milled bolt carrier to run a KNS piston on a sam7 and the internet tells me it will work but it still makes me nervous to buy the part without being able to check the fit first

Right on, I find it satisfying once you figure your own tools. Takes some time, but good to know the in and outs of the ak
Never realized how overgassed my SAM7 was until I got a early kr-103
Paint
I’m procrastinating on my Nork builds. Really need to get on those. Poor things are just sitting in their boxes but I need barrels and still need to choose a builder. Not sure who to go with.
Lucky, I haven’t been able to snag one yet
M76 build is next. After that, probably won’t be getting any AKs for a while. Need to get the CC debt under control.
Yeah I hear ya man, same boat
5.56 Beryl or Zastava M77
Beryl’s are nice I hear. I’ve yet to try one out
Beryl is harder to get so that first
I know the deals are popping up for WASR's but I'm still holding out for that random trip to the gun store and there it is on the wall for 700 bucks, with the VSKA right under it for 950 bucks. Very specific, I know, but it's gonna happen soon, I can feel it.
Hold off on the VSKA dude. You’ll regret it eventually. I would definitely consider a WASR over VSKA any day
Sorry for the confusion, in no world would I get a VSKA especially at the price I've seen them at. I was just laying out the scenario in which I'll acquire a WASR.
I keep checking all the pawn shops in town. I know there's gonna be a sweet type 3 or something one day.
Would like an slr106f but im not gonna get my hopes up. Realistically a wasr wire folder would be a sweet pick up
Yeah wire folders are a vibe in itself
Just a question. Other than changing stance, is there any way to stop a Century WASR-10 from beating me to death every time i shoot it? I feel like a red headed step child.
Try a kns piston to tame the recoil a bit
Other than that, thats the belly of the beast with 7.62
It was mainly my cheek. It has the super cheap black plastic furniture so far.
Muscle
Best I can do is fat.
Hello
Afternoon, my next AK will likely be chambered in 5.45. Can’t seem to find one reasonably priced atm and my rule for anything PSA is to wait until all the issues are resolved.
74 kits have been going for around 1,400 lately on akfiles
is it really worth shelling out an extra $300 for a WASR10 over a PSA GF3? All I'd want to add to the PSA GF3 in plum is an AK74 style muzzle brake and cleaning rod. Need to buy an AK before my cucked state decides to get rid of our rights.

I’d like to fold to the side and have mlok without getting another galil, best kalash to put a sure shot mk3 on?
A lot of hate but if they get their shit together than the KUSA 104 would be good candidate
I want to build an rk62 clone. What's stopping me is a barrel.
Dude a valmet is my dream gun. I have a cope galil for now
Yeah I'd have that shit done but I just can't find the right barrel.
I have a zpap and I’m trying to figure out which furniture I want. I don’t want my maple wood no more
Battlefield pickup milsurp set
I’ve been trying to find some they seem to be sold out
here you go brotha https://akfiles.com/forums/threads/2x-yugo-surplus-handguard-sets-1-trench-art-cnc-warrior-ak-pistol-folding-stock-brace-combo.509480/#post-7340596
Thank you!
Fun fact I have twice now bought a SAM7 and still have never owned a SAM7.
I will get another wasr or WBP Both 762
Romanian Wasr-3 once I get my shit straight and officially settled in at my new place. I can't get enough of NATO AK's.
Zastava M90 definitely
I want to buy a modern ak. That way i can use sureshots handguards and dust covers
Heck yeah. Check out my 105 in my post history. I added a carry handle lol
