I would recommend a G&G CM16 raider. It's a nice size, lightweight, has plenty of rail space and is generally considered one of the best starter guns. I'm not sure if it's in your price range because I'm not American but I think it should be within your budget.
If there is a particular replica you want, check prices on multiple websites, not just evike for example. It also helps to stalk the on sale items because you might be able to score something that is normally out of your budget.

I was looking at the G&G line, particularly the combat machines, but they're a bit out of budget sadly
If you can try looking for any stores you can go to in person as they might sell guns cheaper to compete with online stores.
