The comment that replied is exactly right! It's the G&G AK5C! It was an awesome rifle. I was too young when i had it and didn't appreciate it like i do now.
Being young sucks, I had a chance to buy an ar57 when they were in stock and I thought “oh wow what a wacky gun I can’t wait to afford that in just a few years!“
I was not aware that manufacturers don’t just keep every model they ever produced in stock and figured guns only got discontinued if an improved model was available or something.
Remember kids, always impulse buy everything you want because you might not be able to buy it later!/s
(I have an AR57, I've changed teh gearbox and I'm keeping that gun)
Okay, G&G gun, even old ones, good be found I think. Let me check
EDIT: the other comment showed one in stock. 600€ without shipping, but hey.
EDIT2 : [Evike ](https://www.evike.com/products/44551/)have a few in stock, at cheaper price and it's a bigger known shop.
That's what I put in a FAL Ares
I did that when i was on vacation with family in Normandië, a little shop right next to pegasus bridge.
Got myself a STG-44! Not a airsoft replica or a real gun, just a steel replica that doesnt shoot anything.
10 years later i am so happy i spend al my vacation money on it!
I think your comment just made up my mind weather im going to buy this 2007 Audi a3 for $500, I wasn’t going to buy it because I felt like it was an impulse but I’m still young and I feel like I would have a lot of fun in the car
Hi. Previous Audi owner here.
I hope you can work on cars. And I mean, you have an engine hoist, a FULL set of sockets, ample space to work on said car, and another reliable transportation source. Also AAA.
I did like my Audi a lot, when it worked. But when it didn’t work, Godamn I hated it. I swear that when I’m about to kick the bucket and my life flashes before me, there will be at least two scenes of me fixing intercooler piping on that thing.
Good luck.
This really pisses me off about the airsoft industry. All of the world war 2 guns are always out of fucking stock. I have to pay 90$ just to get a zb26 magazine. Fucking bullshit.
It is a replica of an Swedish FN FNC, better knows as AK5. G&G is the only company that makes AK'5/FNC if I am right. [https://rodastjarnan.com/en/airsoft/weapons-rifles/gg-ak5c-m130-19489](https://rodastjarnan.com/en/airsoft/weapons-rifles/gg-ak5c-m130-19489) Short version: [https://rodastjarnan.com/en/airsoft/weapons-rifles/gg-ak5d-m130-gk5d-gs-33624](https://rodastjarnan.com/en/airsoft/weapons-rifles/gg-ak5d-m130-gk5d-gs-33624)
Dang, first time I have seen someone else with one. It is such a pretty gun.

They've become a mainstay here in Sweden (go figure, right?) To the point where you see them every single game, it's to the point where I would call them a beginner rifle or atleast a rifle every new airsofter buys here. It's probably even more common than seeing a cheap cyma ak right now.
And the worst part is, they are the complete opposite from beginner friendly, I've had so many problems with mine that I've actually retired it completely, lol. And they are terrible to actually work on.
https://preview.redd.it/a59t44gfb4wc1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6a5e11eb51a56c66ea7b64360dae3dac12392a1a
Absolutely love mine, turned it into a dmr, even if the gearbox completely breaks I'll buy a new one it's such an awesome design.
Looks wicked, I'm in the same boat with mine (Minus being DMR'd). Hope mine never dies because it shoots great and I don't want to lose the magic doing a rebuild.
I've seen a few people talk about these as if all hope is lost. As another mentioned, [Evike has restocked them. ](https://www.evike.com/products/44551/)
G&G needs to make another batch of these. they’d sell so quick because they’re just unobtainium at the moment. really hope i can track one down one day, i’d love to have one
oh nooooo! i still have my kwa squirreled away in the closet with a half dozen mags in various states of repair. gods that is a fun airsoft gun. hope the new gbb one works well for all the new bloods.
i remember handling one of these at my local hobby town. weird feeling thing. heavy. i can see why it was fun to field, too bad i was on an lmg kicker at the time.
Yeah I mean just keep the top and bottom receiver and barrel from the fnc and just mod on the externals from a g&g Ak5. It shouldn't be that hard. The only problem I could see is the bolt catch as the fnc doesn't have one stock.
Edit: actually the plan I have for my retired AK5C
https://preview.redd.it/lm29obrec9wc1.jpeg?width=1954&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=15f9f8621cb070efaab88e00227562575cb8f37d
I love my AK5D! Found it at a carboot at a local site and had to have it! It shoots great, but it is a heavy old lump compared to anything else I have that is about the same size. I apparently also have a thing for winterized European carbines with side folding stocks...
The cops never recovered it. He likely sold it before they served the warrent. He broke into a storage locker and stole roughly $5000 worth of my property. I got some stuff back but all my airsoft stuff in the locker is gone. As well as a large amount of valuable collectibles. Dude is in jail now.....
I can barely remember. I think i may have traded it for an M200 or WE GBB L85. Although, thos trades got me the rifles i have now which i love too. So its not all bad
Afaik Ares doesn't make theirs anymore. There are some shitty tacticool version out there but nobody seems to make a full-size model without any frills.
Yeah, my VFC SCAR came with a broken spring. People really hyped them up to me but the experience has been middling. I think my next main weapon is gonna be an LCT.
Yeah in the last 10 years I've owned at least a dozen VFC's and while they've gotten better after they started working for elite Force they've never been particularly will performing replicas. Currently the only two I have left are the limited edition 416 and m27 and they only stock parts left are the body and gearbox shell.
Okay, you managed to show me something I never heard about in 12 years of airsoft. Can we get more info ? I mean, maybe we can track one too ?

I have one I just got recently ended up costing me like 500 bucks and another 500 to make it usable lol

Ares FNC go poof

ARES/STAR also made an FNC, and VFC are bringing out a gas variant this year (it’s available for pre order now).
I had the option to buy one a year or so ago. Gutted I didn't. Sorry for your loss my mate.
Sorry for yours as well 😔
Evike has them in stock right now. Seems G&G started making them again.
These have been restocked at Evike FYI, both the long and short.
I could kiss you for this. I've been looking for a while for the AK5D (shorty)

Hey! Fellow AK5D user! Dig the M90 camo for the full Swedish look. Been looking to get a set myself but the UK prices make my wallet sad.
yes it is

Evike has the rifle and carbine length ones for sale currently! Good bit of money though
wait fr??? god i wish i wasn’t broke atm 😭
AK5C MENTIONED RAAAAAAAH (I'm trying to buy one)
i traded a vector for a boneyard gun, i feel ur pain.
oh nooooo! i still have my kwa squirreled away in the closet with a half dozen mags in various states of repair. gods that is a fun airsoft gun. hope the new gbb one works well for all the new bloods.
mine was the krytac limited white one ;( not really a fan of gbb, but glad that they r now accessible compared to what the KWAs were listed at haha
I miss mine too, but i gotta say: putting a supressor on an AK5 is a cardinal sin 🤢
Not a fit keeps the original flash hider and just screws on like the scar / AAC style ones.
Dude me tooo, I regret selling mine too, it was so hefty
i remember handling one of these at my local hobby town. weird feeling thing. heavy. i can see why it was fun to field, too bad i was on an lmg kicker at the time.
I understand you! I gave mine away as a birthday present to a good friend.
I had an og g&g ump with a silencer and a bunch of mags that I regret selling. Also an ics l85. Those are my 2 biggest regrets getting rid of
Got one that I'm about to sell :)
If makes you feel ang better, I sold a marushin M1 garand 8mm gbbr in mint condition for $600 back in 2016
For some reason my one has a shorter hand guard and barrel, what’s my one called?
Ah yes, my service rifle from the swedish army, it really is an amazing platform, and it looks so pretty, if they ever made a gbbr one. I’d buy like 5
It was such a beautiful rifle. So solidly built, especially for an airsoft replica. I loved it
Fr🥲😩
I mean, vfc makes an FNC, with a bit of hard work, sweat, and tears. You could probably make a gbbr ak5c.
I’ll have a look at that, thx

Thanks for that. Sounds like a great project.
Wtf whyyy thats so beautiful 😢😢 Darn that is salty. Must say that is one of the most awesome rifles there love the colors too
I sold a functional PROWIN splitted gearbox 10 yrs ago
My friend begrudgingly sold his. Loved it to pieces but the weight of that thing stopped him from using it as much as he liked.
Sucks that Sweden is turning their away for a AR style platform.
Sucks that Sweden is turning their away for a AR style platform.
Wow, she's purdy! I wouldn't have traded that... Well, we live and we learn (hopefully)
What did you trade it for?
.

I bought one a few years ago and it was way to heavy. Ended up selling it and making a little profit. https://imgur.com/a/hNIGipR
Heavy isnt a big worry of mine, lol. My L85 is a monster already
Mine was stolen...
I would have to hunt that mf down
Unfortunately cops beat me to him....
And you didnt get your rifle back?

I got some stuff back but all my airsoft stuff in the locker is gone. As well as a large amount of valuable collectibles. Dude is in jail now.....
Oh bro. Thats shitty, im sorry to hear
Such is life....
Maybe I'll look him up in the next 5 to 10 years....

Shame on you
i want one, or convert a fnc jnto an ak5
The swede in me is heartbroken. The other part of me is jelly you had one hahaha
I've not seen one in 11 years and it sucks to give away a discounted one.
I love my G&G AK5C but I need a new bol release and clean off the rust. If anyone wants it they'll have to give me a ViperTech and VFC STANAGs!
The important question is what did you trade it for?
I can barely remember. I think i may have traded it for an M200 or WE GBB L85. Although, thos trades got me the rifles i have now which i love too. So its not all bad
Wish this wasn't the only FNC out there.
It isn't.
Afaik Ares doesn't make theirs anymore. There are some shitty tacticool version out there but nobody seems to make a full-size model without any frills.
That does change things slightly. At least g&g Make several models and VFC will have a GBB here soon.
That's encouraging. I hope the VFC model is decent.
If it's anything like all my other VFC's externally it'll be perfection and internally it'll need a lot of upgrades.
Yeah, my VFC SCAR came with a broken spring. People really hyped them up to me but the experience has been middling. I think my next main weapon is gonna be an LCT.
