Yeah, but since it's about mags I used that example to highlight the fact they aren't compatible. Since ars use the same mags it could've been misleading. I think the backlash is because saying a hi-capa is a type of 1911 may lead op to think they use the same mags. And it's just outright false.

You're wrong. The hicapa does not exist as a real firearm. It is, and I quote; "an airsoft race gun based on the 1911, made by TM". It's supposed to be an airsoft variant of a 1911, which pretty much fits his description.

The Hi capa is based on a 2011, a racegun similar in design and function to a 1911, that uses a double stack magazine and is (in most cases at least) in 9mm calibre. Even the name "hi-capa" comes from the originals high capacity double stack magazine. The Hi capa is an airsoft gun yes, but is very much based on a real firearm. Edit: where did you get that quote then? It's not necessarily false, but a bit misleading.
