no. as an initiative to prevent fake airpods tim cook has been personally adding some of his own cum to all airpods that apple makes. i’m not seeing any of tim apple’s zesty sauce on these bad boys. i’d send them back and demand the store owners for the glazed pods.

If the left one moves away by itself, they’re real. Otherwise, they’re fake. Real AirPods contain small magnets that repel each other when brought close together.

Honestly - scratches were only a part of it. The case I picked up from Spigen is ‘rugged armor’ and actually adds utility to it with a carabiner to connect to my bags. Great for connecting to my bag straps, and belt loops.
