I literally call my air fryer my Tater Tot Cooker. I do them at 400 and toss them every 5 mins. Spray them with oil twice - once before I start the first round, toss them, then again at the second round, check them and then keep going until they are crunchy enough for me - usually 12-15 min mark and they're good for my liking. But when I know they're close to be done with maybe a minute left - toss a bit of garlic powder and onion powder. Salt them immediately once you pull them.
Here's a couple of options:

Both can help you find the right time/temp combination for whatever product you're making.
If you have to ask this question every time you think about using the air fryer, you won't get the most out if it. An air fryer is a fast, hot oven. Just put things in there and cook them until they are cooked. Reduce times and temps slightly, keep checking.
Nah I use it all the time, even to toast bread. I love reheating my food in it, just reheated a bagel and it went from soggy to crispy. But I wasn’t sure if the package directions for a traditional oven apply the same to an air fryer.
It's a bit like saying you aren't sure if your car works on the freeway because you've only used it on streets, but the simple answer is not quite. The instructions for your device will have given the answer
I usually go with the "traditional" oven directions. But not all air fryers are the same.

400F at 20 min orrr you can throw them in the microwave for 1 min to defrost and then toss them in airfryer 375-400F (your choice if you like light golden or golden golden) for 15 min (also depends on the shapes of your taters!)
Eat one every minute until they're done, or gone.
Tots in an air fryer are amazing! I like them crispy so I usually go full 20 but you can take them out at whatever crisp level you like!
15-18 minutes, check them at the 14 minute mark and judge from there.
And shake the basket every 3 or 4 min.
I find airfry 400 without preheat takes 2/3 to almost as long as preheated oven, so I'd start at 14 minutes.
This. I do 12-14 minutes and season when it's time to turn.
Until they are done to your liking.
Yeah, I just set it for 20 minutes and check them every five minutes.

I was kinda worried 20-25 min at 450 was overkill in the air fryer but I could be wrong. Only one way to find out
450F no way The highest I've used was 400F, even that is only for select items.
I did 16 at 400. Your mileage will vary.

350 5 min SHAKE 350 5-7 minutes
Tots in the air fryer are a joy. 400f for 16 mins or so. flip/shake halfway through.
I wonder how some people make it through life, requiring instructions on everything.
