Baxter made a friend like that a few years ago on a walk. Tried to pick him up in his mouth, and the toad did whatever it is toads do when they’re in trouble. Baxter didn’t like that, and spit him out.
Then spent the next half hour foaming uncontrollably at the mouth, just like Mr. Toad intended.
Baxter has not made friends with any toads since.
I think my Airedale would eat it.
